This was our follow-up choice of restaurant, when we rolled up on another location and they were closed for clean up. I consider it a big stroke of luck that they were closed, because Mercury Burger Bar was AWESOME! I was nice and hungry, so I was able to get a bunch of starters and three entrees. Everything was top-notch. Their meats, cheeses, bread, and veggies were all fresh and flavorful. Everything was expertly crafted, with a fine attention to detail. They had some pretty awesome drink options, too. Be sure to treat yourself to a shake or Boston Cooler. It was even more impressive how perfectly prepared the food was, considering how busy the restaurant was. Im a big dude, with an even bigger appetite, and I walked out totally full. The portions are really generous, every morsel of food was delicious, and all of it was very reasonably priced. It was "so cold in the D," but we were toasty warm in their outdoor beer garden because of the overhead heaters, and tent enclosure. Our server was super-friendly, helping us chose from all of the options, and managed to get our food out quickly amid the completely full dining room and beer garden. He treated us like we were best friends, and never faltered once while tending to numerous tables. During our trip to Detroit and the St. Clair Shores area, this was - by miles - my favorite place to eat during the trip. If Im ever in the area again, in the shadow of the old Michigan Central Station, Mercury Burger Bar is absolutely top of my list of places to stop and eat.

This is one of the few places in metro Detroit where you can get real authentic POUTINE. Thats right, they sell poutine here, Canadas greatest invention. And best of all its actually authentic, Ive been to Montreal and had the best Canada has to offer... This poutine isnt far off. This place has mouthwatering burgers and offerings too (hence why its a burger bar). With every bite delicious burger juices exploded in my mouth, combined with the mind blowing taste of the poutine it created a food induced state of trance. The milkshakes are pretty special too, the Orange Creamsicle milkshake had just the right taste to it where you feel addicted and desiring more. The atmosphere is very unique, its got a Detroit feel with an old diner/slightly urban feel. Something great to take anyone from out of town visiting to, or your buds before a game. I highly suggest coming here to give it a try, youll leave satisfied and eager for your next return.

Pros: Food was fantastic, my wife and I each had a salad to start (wedge and caesar) both were very good. I had the blue apple burger and she had a burger as well. Get the pickled carrots on your burger, they are free and fantastic. Loved the atmosphere and love the music as well, really a cool place to visit. Prices were good as well. Cons: We sat at the bar, I must say the two ladies at the bar were less than attentive. They would walk right past you with an empty beer or plates and would not clear them or ask if you wanted another drink. Parking was as issue, the lot behind the place, which was $3 was full. We parked on the street by the train station, was lucky to find a spot as that was all full too. Overall very good and I will be visiting again. I would have given a 4.5 if I could because of the service.

Ive been here busy or not busy, they have excellent service. The only problem I have is that they rotate menus.Or swap specials something like that.So when my husband and I came here for the first time I ordered the "puertorican elvis burger "OMY good grief it was amazing. Yes, Im PuertoRican. look; penut butter guava plaintains. The most amazing thing in the world my problem is every other time Ive came I cant get my hands on it because they are not serving it.Which sucks when you are pregnant and craving something. It was turture.I tried to hard to get another one of those and that didnt happen. But Ive had a lot of their foods & they are So Good. Real Food, with great quality. ♡♡♡ Place is a must go to in Detroit. Now if I could just have that recipe for "PEB" so I could make it at home would be aswesome(:

The food was awesome as always!! The "bartender" (tall thin shaved head dont know his name because he hardly said more then 10 words) was extremely unorganized with zero personality. Screwed up both orders, tried to overcharge because the computers werent working and he OBVIOUSLY cant do math. Added $10.00 tax for a $50.00 tab. I asked 3 times for our bill and it took us standing up with my money put for him to get together. When I told him he added on food I specifically told him we didnt want, his answer was "Oh" . Plus I asked twice for a shirt and he was "looking" for it, but he never left the bar. The woman next to us added up her bill in her head and just threw money down because she couldnt wait any longer. HORRIBLE HORRIBLE SERVICE BY ENTIRE STAFF

When you say "Can I get this burger with this instead of that?" And they say YES, NO PROBLEM you are not expecting a bill 50℅ higher than advertised. It wasnt so much that I ended up paying several dollars more, it was the point that had they told me how much more my request would cost, I simply would have ordered something else. I even politely explained the situation to the server and she did go talk to the manager and came back that there was nothing else that they could do. I even told them I would be writing a poor review about this situation and they did not care the least. The burger was 3 star at best. The value/cost of the meal was 1 to 2 stars and the blasé attitude and customer experience was a big fat zero. I am never coming back.

If youre looking for a quick crafty burgerfied-munch while slinking the D, this is your locale. Id consider myself a burger boy, Ive been to a lot bud, and when I say this place gave me one of the best pieces of grounded up bovine Ive ever digested, I aint kidding kid. I sent for the "Southwest Detroit" burg, and oh nelly did she give me a tastin. The chorizo and burg meat were seasoned to utter perfection, the bun lightly toasted, the toppings fresh and crisp. I had a side of poutine (fries topped with gravy and cheese curds) it was heavenly. The service was incredibly fast with much seating inside, down, and out. They even have their own firepit. Beer on tap from many local breweries too. Overall a grand spankin lip smackin experience.

Unbeatable Burgers, Dogs, Tots and Fries! Mercury has a funky diner feel inside and ample seating outside. The menu is stocked with burgers, dogs, sandwiches and sides. Get a deliciously made classic burger or try the Toper, Southwestern, or other variety of mouth watering takes on a gourmet burger. Overall, our service was friendly and efficient. I ordered the Southwestern budget with a side of tots. The burger was excellent but on a return visit I would try something else from the menu since it all sounded good. I ordered plain tots which were excellent! (Dont expect to find things for those planning to "eat light"). The poutine tots were also well reviewed by our group. Overall, a great place!
