The worst Encounter of prejudiced Ever! If youre not Middle Eastern stay away! Or maybe theres and no African-American policy. At about 9 oclock my cousin and I leaving an event and noticed The sky lounge and how beautiful it looked from the outside and decided to stop for a bite to eat. Very clean-looking establishment. There were a few people there some eating, some partaking in hookah. We got some odd looks, I didnt really care I love Mediterranean food. It took us about 30 minutes to get water. Then our server came and said, Im sorry nobody told me you were my table. I said okay! Understanding because I used to serve myself, I said were ready no problem, she took our order. She left and never came back for an hour and a half. The whole time Im watching her take care of other people I made eye contact she acknowledged and still never came back, I raise my hand she acknowledged it and still never came back. People next to us came after us ate their food and sat and stared at us in a very aggressive manner, I had already went up and asked about being served twice. As I looked around the patio it became apparent that everyone was staring at us. The manager went to every table and and asked how was everything except ours. Now Im getting it were not welcome here. As we got up and walked away the manager came out and wiped off our table. We only had the opportunity to taste that fine dining water, in two hours we never got an appetizer or anything...the only reason I waited so patiently I really wanted some baba ganoush and lamb chops. If it wasnt racism thats fine but it sure felt like it!

I use to work here and let me tell you the crap they used to make us do. The owners are assholes they think their Gods and step all over their staff. I remember that one of the chefs dropped meat and bread on the ground and continued to cook it and serve it to the customers, These Jerks would underpay their employees and have everyone overcharge customers if they were a different race, not only are they racist but sexists as well . They would have the waitresses give their numbers to the older clients, They would deliberately tell their employees to over charge customers, and at the end of the month whoever produced the most money in overcharging would get a bonus, and that was practically the only type of payment anyone would see since no one got paid by the hour..These jerks that own this establishment dont deserve to own anything their crooks and all they see is money in their eyes all their produce is days old because they dont want to spend the extra money on fresh produce, and they never clean their kitchen unless they have an inspection, this place is disgusting and unfair to both customers and employees the only ones that get something out of it are the owners with their cheap ass ways. this place needs to be shut down no one should ever go there

Service was great the atmosphere was amazing, the food was delicious and there sheesha was smooth. As someone mentioned before that a person with different ethnicity shows up in there place will get looks and people will get uptight and sweaty, personally i did not feel this way. I am not Lebanese and i was welcomed with open arms and a smile. Maybe it depends person to person, not everyone is the same and people do have personal issues with race and ethnicity. Service was great the atmosphere was amazing, the food was delicious and there sheesha is smooth. FYI: if it turns out that the person who commented that he felt not welcomed just cause of his ethnicity or race then i would feel really sad and disappointed that sky lounge promotes this sort of behavior. I hope this is an isolated event otherwise i would stop coming to this place.

Very incosistent place..this is not the first time we come here and it seems everytime it has been a different experience depending on the mood of management i guess? Not only were we asked to "check in" which is super weird, the staff kept asking us to do so in order to be served??!! Wth is checking in, did i walk into a probation office and didnt know? Than the waiter tells us, ohhh this is dearborn you know..excuse me? Wth does that even mean, its a cafe like any other place..guess what this is america, its called customer service have you heard of it? Food is also inconsistent and the hooka sucks. Absolutely DO NOT recommend, save your money and go to another cafe , they all serve the same food anyways.

The food is great. unfortunately as one commentator said, the atmosphere is not welcoming to new people there...to sugar coat the matter. I feel bad for the last guy. i want to comment to all dearborn lubnanis, no one is better than anyone. we all created by Allah. we as a people need to be more understanding and accepting of others differents whether black, chinese, indian and white. i se always at restaurants around town like sky lounge, someone black or pakistani or whatever walks in and you all get uptight and sweaty like your going to get dirty. change your backwards behavior for better. leave whats accepted in lebanon in lebanon. welcome to america.

I didnt want to do that but they forced to give them 1 star since I cant give them 0 star....I ordered 2 chicken salad and when I arrived home I found they missed up my order, I called and made a complain they told me that they are sorry and to go back the next day to change the order for me since it was to late....I accepted their apologise and said I will returned the wrong order with me they said no its fine so I through it in the garbage...the second day I called on my way to go take the right order they denied that they told me that they will replace the order for me.....shame on you

Dnt knw about previous reviews about this place , bt its one of the best places that i visited while im in michigan , service r great , hooka is the best, pple r nice ,kind ,thy keep up with u to make sure that ur ok and no need for any more orders , even if they r busy , waittres keep coming and asking u how is it going , love it love it , no complains at all , enjoyed every second b4 i leave mi , beautiful place to chill and smoke ur hooka ,, I will def recommand a fri for sure and i will def come back here for my next visit to MI,

Not only was the food amazing but the atmosphere was great ! I just randomly picked this place with my friends and it became by far my favorite hookah lounge. Everyone is really nice and the workers do a great job in making you feel like a long time customers. For food if you love chicken like i do you should defiantly try their almond chicken, from the first bite you feel the crispy texture from the outside and as you bite down further it becomes juicy especially with their secret sauce. Amazing place must try

Was good until I waited an hour to be waited on. I even got kinda loud trying to get multiple waiters attention, and they looked away. Then I ordered; a vanilla hookah with an orange head 17.99, 2 chicken shawarmas 7.00, and a large order of fries 5.00. And my bill was 48.30. I told my waiter about the problem he told me,"no no no I take care of you, you look Iike you want quality, Ill give you a discount for this fine meal to make it even better, and walked away. Not going back.
