Bean and leaf is a great cafe, however; it often lacks consistency, which is a major issue when it comes to repeat customers. Most of the time I go here because of its location. If there was another cafe within walking distance I would go there, but no dice. I like to walk around downtown Rochester and usually a latte is in order. When you get a bad barista it usually shows in both how long it takes to get rung up and the quality of the drink. Sometimes you get quick service and a great latte, but then other times its the complete opposite. It seems two be one of those two combinations: great service, great latte, or bad service and bad latte. Its really a gamble, but its in a good location and it has a charming atmosphere. Besides, there is always the CHANCE youll get a good drink.

The costumer service isnt very good, and their drinks are nothing special. I havent really cared anything Ive got there personally. Very overpriced for what you get. Dessert Oasis is right across the street and is my all time favorite coffee shop, they have an amazing atmosphere and drinks! Dont waste your time or money here. Even Starbucks is better than this place.

This is my absolute favorite study spot near oakland university. Tea comes in lovely little pots and the employees are very sociable. The only downfall is that the tablea are quite small, but thats not unusual in tea/coffee shops. Fabulous meeting place with friends. Biggest downfall? Parking is terrible or expensive if you intend to study for long periods of time.

Bean and Leaf is a popular place for locals to stop for a specialty coffee or tea while enjoying downtown, or for Oakland University students to study. Can be hard to find a table in the evenings, especially towards the end of the week. Theres wifi and makes for a comfortable working environment.

I love the Bean and Leaf in Rochester. I frequently stop by before my way to work. The people are friendly and the service is excellent. I also love the new addition of Zingermans coffee but the Americanos are my favorite. I would definitely recommend this place to everyone!

The two working up front today reccomeneded a coffee and explained I may not like it at first, which they were right and they allowed me a regular coffee on the house. Good customer service. Good vibe enviornement.

Good coffee, most of the staff is great but a couple of them are kinda salty towards me and I have no idea why. A few too many kids and dogs hanging around, but still a better spot than dessert oasis.

I love their teas, cozy environment, beautiful area. Everytime I walk Downtown Rochester with my kids we stop in here for a quick refreshment, our favorite is the Thai Tea with coconut milk.

Best chi tea latte! Better than Starbucks. The drinks are always fast and I like the local art they hang on the walls. I only wish when I ask for an extra hot drink its extra hot!

Whenever Im in downtown Rochester I have to stop in. They have an awesome Ginger Jasmine iced tea. Ive tried to reproduce it at home but I failed. Plus, its a very cozy cafe.

Dig this place pretty well. Enjoy the Vietnamese coffee and Thai Iced Teas... Regular drip coffee leaves a little to be desired and is served unreasonably hot.
