Awful food and the service was terrible. I ordered take out the other night and was shocked when the young man behind the counter was flat and rude. I had a couple of minutes before my food was ready and the young man and another man were behind the counter making rude comments about people that walked by and some sexest comments about a woman that walked by. When I cashed out I asked the cashier who the older man was and he told me it was the owner. The food was boring and greasy. I cant believe that this place was recommended to me by anyone, but between the rude service and the comments that the owner was making about people in our community I wont be returning anytime soon. I cant decide if I am more disappointed in the food or the people but either way it makes it easy to go make to the Clawson favorites like Muis.

To be honest, Ive never been a big fan of Far East, and tonight sealed the deal for me. I ordered their House Chow Mein a couple of spring rolls and the Crab Cheese. Well, let me tell you about it. The Chow Mein had the consistency of soup not your typical gravy consistency. 90% bean sprouts, I think 4 pieces of water chestnut, 2 pea pods, 3 shrimp, 6 small pieces of chicken and 4 small pieces of pork. The "crisp noodles" were rancid and the entire dish had a bizarre flavor that I cant explain. The Crab Cheese were the only thing worth eating, but I dont think that there was much, if any Imitation Crab in the cream cheese filling. Lastly, the Spring Rolls were lack luster at best. Im not one to post comments like this, but following this meal, Im afraid I had to.

Worst Thai and Chinese we have ever had. We tried the Thai food a few months ago and were not impressed, but we thought that they may have a better specialty in Chinese so we tried the Chinese food. Both were not good. We had lo mein and orange chicken, and the lo mein was mushy like the noodles were way over cooked. For the thai food, we tried the fried rice and the pad thai, and it wasnt very flavorful. I would definitely recommend going somewhere else, especially because Muis Chinese and Penns Thai are within a mile from Far East.

I came in and ordered my usual, the Almond chicken, with fried rice, and an egg role. I git home and was ready to enjoy, but they had forgotten the gravey!! I called and even though I was out of delivery range a guy hopped in his truck and drive it all the way to me!! I was thankful and in awe of the amazing customer service, they have a customer for LIFE!!! I even tried to tip for driving all the way out to me but he refused it!! Plus their food is fantastic!!!!

Ok I get that its not the normal chinese take out that most everyone knows. However, the shrimp lomein I ordered with no peapods or water chestnuts had so many water chestnuts, hardly any bean sprouts or mushrooms, 6 shrimp and the noodles looked and tasted like a pack of ramen noodles not cooked all the way! Plus its WAY OVER PRICED! I am highly disappointed in what I paid for this disgusting meal! Will not make that mistake again...definitly DO NOT recommend!

I had the Sesame chicken and it was the best I think Ive ever had. So many times Ive ordered Sesame chicken from other places and its been "mystery meat" , a.k.a. kind of gross. But the chicken here is crispy, really well cooked and great quality meat. Fantastic sesame sauce and really fresh. Its a pretty fair price, the portions are reasonable, and the people I talked to on the phone and in person were really nice. Its a really decent place.

Very fast and efficient eatery; great prices, great selection, decent location (though it can be a hassle getting in and out during rush hour). The food isnt as spicy as I might like, but the selection is expansive, and everything tastes great. (Ive been here a half-dozen times, and had about a third of the menu choices.) The Thai isnt bad, but their Chinese dishes are superior. If you want take-out Chinese near Clawson, this one I recommend.

I have been coming here for about 3 years now and I have never been disappointed. I dont work in the area anymore but I make sure I make the drive from Clinton Township when Im craving some Chinese. Its had to find such a consistent and delicious Chinese food place. I always get the sesame chicken. Big portions good price delicious meal. Love love love far east! Also try their online system for orders. Its awesome.

Id been enjoying Far East since they opened a few years ago but lately have noticed a decline in the taste and consistency. Soups are too thick and gelatinous, fried rice is extremely dry, dishes that are ordered "extra hot" have negligible spice and bland flavors. Its still a hell of a value for the amount of food you get at a great price, but Id rather have better quality than quantity.

Wow, Value, taste, large portions, and friendly service! We will definitly be back! Kapow! Well, we did go back three times now! Highly recommend the general tso chicken (extra hot), the crab rangoon, all of the soups, the sesame chicken, and last but certainly not least the drunken noodles with chicken are amazing!!! Stay tuned, I intend on going through the entire menu! Boom

After trying 3 other thai places in the area this is the best 1 for Thai dishes they have a pretty thorough menu with lots of choices the pad head was good but a little pricey and I wasnt impressed with the sauce but still pretty tasty and way better then the other places around Troy I wish I could have tried more of their dishes but the Hot n sour soup was very good also

Staff very friendly, inside was clean and looked nice, but General Tsoos chicken just wasnt that good. The egg roll was a bit over-done and the rice and chicken seemed to have been either sitting out for a while or were also overcooked. Maybe I caught the very end of the lunch rush and it was my timing. But, it left a bad taste so I dont think Ill return.

The minute I walked in and the owner asked me what type of food I like, I knew I was in a great restaurant. The owner was in the back doing quality control when he wasnt making pleasant smalltalk with me. He made sure everything was PERFECT for my order. Ill DEFINITELY be going here again. Even my girlfriend who HATES chinese food loved it!

Ordered beef drunken noodles. Some pieces of the beef were good but others looked questionable, a light-to-white mush that looked like chicken and had a hint of spoiled fish flavor. The noodles were an inconsistent texture and smothered in far too much sauce. This was my first and last time at Far East.

Just ordered take out last night. Delicious Chinese Kung Pow Chicken. Big portions of meat, and bright green bell peppers. Well put together. My wifes Kow Pad Thai wasnt very good...very little meat. Egg rolls were delicious and the mustard sauce was perfect. Other than the Thai, this was great!
