If I could give it no stars, I definitely would. First time here, last time here. Took my kids and my daughters best friend out for lunch. They all wanted Chinese so I figured I would try here; seeing it was close to where we were going to hangout later. My daughter and best friend ordered the #26 (sesame chicken) there food chicken was very hard, my son ordered the general tso chicken. When he got it, the food was drowned in sauce; to the point it was dripping over the plate (looked nasty). I ordered the sweet and sour chicken with shrimp fried rice. Barely any sauce on the chicken, and the shrimp in the rice was soggy and slimy. Made me and my daughter sick after eating. We also ordered 2 orders of crab rangoons; barely any filing in them. Have had plenty of these from other places, and these were just pitiful. The egg drop soup was not good at all. Didnt even taste like it. The fried noodles that you put in your soup tasted stale, and like they had been sitting out for a very long time. Also, the tea looked like brown water. There was no tea taste to it. All the kids complained that the water even tasted bad. (thats really sad) They ask you what you want to drink as soon as you sit down, and dont inform you that the pops have no free refill. They also give you a small cup of it. As for how our food arrived; each plate was brought out 5 minutes apart, with the crab rangoons being the very last thing. Lets just say we all brought stuff home and threw it out. What a waste. I now owe my kids and daughters best friend a make up meal. Save yourself the trip and disappointment and go somewhere else.

How do we just keep finding these decades old fabulous Chinese eating spots. Another nondescript outside appearance the sign looks old. Folks flying by 50 mph like we have hundreds of times. The kicker to get in door from Foodie friend Wes, you know hes never be wrong yet Lol. Had a most enjoyable experience in a beautiful decorative dining area kinda like a jungle with Love. Had unique Wonton Soup so damn delicious. Get this only 15 bucks for 2 meals then took a full carryout container home. Mega Deals Alert Folks. She had ABC crispy delicious batter Almond Boneless Chicken piled high on a bed of Chicken Fried Rice. Me Moo Shu Chicken think Chinese Burrito be veggies mixed with Chicken 3 Chinese Pancake and Housin sauce to slather before you roll. I putting it out Very Best Ever Moo Shu Ive had at 2 dozen places #1 yeah it plenty to share. So happy to find this place. Going back soon for Sizzling Rice Soup very few places have on menu. Find this decades old place on Facebook, Yelp, Google and Trip Advisor #newhongkongrestaurant

I was recommended to try this place out , heard it was great, i was immensely disappointed. They should be ashamed of themselves for serving that food, i ordered a carry out and i live a lil ways aways so i was definitely disappointed i couldnt go back to show them that crap, my sweet and sour chicken and shrimp batter was dark ,overcooked. the batter was completely nasty. The worst chicken ,the sauce couldnt help it. My shrimp fried rice looked as if someone poured a entire bottle of soy sauce in it, it tasted a lil burnt i paid extra for gravy for the rice that couldnt help it either, it was the worst chinese i ever had in my life! A waste of money . So bad that im completely done with Chinese food

I wish I could give this review no stars. I ordered two meals from this restaurant just before closing. I called today to get my meals rectified because I had received the wrong meals and the owner laughed at my complaint and hung up on me as I started to explain my problem. The service was very rude considering the fact that I had been given meals I cant even eat. This has been the most horrible service I have ever received in my experience with chinese restaurants. I would not even recommend this business to someone I dont like. The owner Chi is a horribly rude person, laughing at a legitimate issue and hanging up on me. This was awful, just horrid!

I dont know why the negative reviews... First of all, the owner Chi, is one of the nicest and kindest people to deal with. I love their food. I do have a sweet tooth, and some of their food has a sweeter taste to it (which might not be for everyone). I think this is better than any Chinese restaurant in the area. Their home made rolls are the bomb. The house fried rice is excellent. They typically give you huge portions on carryout orders. I will admit that last time I was there, the meat in the Lo Mein did taste a little freezer burned. Other than that, Ive never had an issue in years of going there.

I would never recomment New Hong Kong to no one. I this is my second time ordering from them and it was horrible. The rice was very gummy and very salty. I ordered sweet and sour chicken combo and my chicken was very soggy. and very greasy. This was the first time my family ever ate any of New Hong Kong food and I was asked to never order from them again. I called and spoke with an employee and he told me " WELL I DONT KNOW WHAT TO TELL YOU". I couldnt even get Im sorry or anything. Poor customer service. What ever happen to good customer service. I DO NOT RECOMMEND ANYONE TO EAT AT NEW HONG KONG EVER AGAIN.

Got steak kow and wonton soup on carryout the soup was bland bland bland beansprouts and tasteless dumplings in hot water and the steak kow was edible but those tai pei frozen 3 dollar microwave broccoli and beef are 20x better the beef was just wierd too tender oddly evenly shaped im not sure that it was realky beef tbh. I will never come back its really bad especially with how many places you can grab chinese downriver. Try shong hey on west road in Trenton its a little hike but at least its going to not completely suck.

The place its self is kind of a dump. They give you a lot of food but are weird about making changes to anything. They dont put the sauce on the side so if you take it home (sweet and sour/almond chicken) itll be soggy. No sauce comes with the crab Rangoon and youll get charged extra if you want some. Their soup is good but the noodles for the soup taste stale. The egg rolls were a little bland. The sauce for the chicken and the chicken were decent. The crab Rangoon are tasty but barely any filling.

Really wish I liked the food but its not happning, used to go there and the food was ok, loved the seasme chicken, hubby got chow mein but last 2 times, no flavor at all in the chow mein! Now I know they stopped useing msg but I always asked for food with out it (causes poops) so not sure whats going on. The staff and management are very nice, I really hate to give them a poor review but its true, who cares how big the portions are if you cant taste it?
