This is another of Cantons most popular restaurants. Go here around dinnertime and youll almost definitely have at least a 10 minute wait to be seated. Is the fame warranted? Mexican Fiestas got some great selections on the menu, the portions are quite generous -- in particular, if you get any of the burritos slathered in queso blanco (i think - its a white cheese that tastes authentic to me) or opt for a Botana before the meal. So much of the business is for these things, and their fresh tortilla chips and salsa and not much else that it may become tiresome if youre not into huge portions or nachos... but for what it does, it does well. Many people like the Mexican Sandwich here too - which is pretty good, but rarely what im in the mood for when i go to a Mexican restaurant (which is really Tex-Mex, not authentic mexican food for all you foodies out there). Come between Lunch and dinnertime for your first visit for a proper impression of the restaurant without the wait, and NOISE. When this place gets busy, youll have to yell to talk to anyone not rubbing your elbows with.

BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!! My wife went here today as we have visited often over the last 15 years. We ordered the Large botana which was smaller and more expensive then it was in the past. We called them to ask if the large botana shrunk or they mistakingly gave us a small. The man who answered the phone said nothing has changed price or size for years.. which we know is incorrect after ordering the same thing at least 100 times. So she asked to speak to the manager. His name is Noel. He yelled at my wife and hung up on her. I was so angry that someone would disrespect my wife like that I almost got in the car to go up there and settle it another way. However I calmed down and decided to write this review to help everyone else out there to save them from this evil place. There are plenty of wonderful Mexican restaurants in the area. DO NOT GO HERE! I like Los Três Amigos off Canton Center and my favorite Is Las Palapas off Plymouth Rd in Livonia. Please save yourself the heartache and eat at one of those fine establishments.

Two stars I am being generous, credit to the waitress and the tortilla chips. Went for Saturday brunch, only few ppl where there. The hostess was not very welcoming. But our waitress was sweet and helpful. The menu is vegetarian friendly, like any other Mexican place. They just take off the meet and replace it with beans and rice. Lol The complimentary chips and salsa were ok. We ordered vegetable fajita, the worst fajita I ever had. Veggies tasted really old and they were chopped horribly. Huge pieces. No spices, they were just half cooked. Served with rice and beans, also came with corn or flour tortillas. Rice and beans enchiladas, way to much cheese. Literally smothered. Cheese inside cheese outside. Kids cheese quesadilla- obviously goovy cheese. Even my cheese loving son said too much cheese. Lol The place is not well kept. Could use some cleaning, may be replace few stuff. They do have full bar. I would not go back here again.

Hearing many great things about Mexican Fiesta made me anticipate a tasty and authentic experience. Sadly, there was very little in terms of authenticity, which went hand in hand with a bland subpar meal. When you think authentic, one pictures himself dining in an experience surrounded by the people who created this ethnic cousine. The decor was boring, yet chaotic. The waitstaff fumbled with simple questions regarding food and drinks, which were all very basic and Americanized. However, the most disappointing aspect was the food. Bland, everything tasted the same and was made with no passion or creativity. For being touted as the go to place for a great Mexican dining experience, it falls short. When deep fried ice cream is done wrong, look else where.

Been going over 20yrs and tonight they left a bad taste in my mouth. The menus state $4.50 for guacamole which is also shown online but was charged $6.50 When I asked why, the manager said because avocados prices went up and he didnt plan to print menus until Jan, Mind you its Otober. The manager said he would give me a two dollar credit and take it from the our waitress. SERIOUSLY? This is how you treat employees..who you only pay 2 dollars an hour? You show one price and charge another? How illegal is this?? Mexican Fiesta should be ashamed at how the leadership staff acted this evening. Of course we over compensated our waitress for even having to deal with that, but the managers behavior is unacceptable and illegal.

Went there because we heard how good the food is. I would not/will not recommend this place! It was filthy! Bathroom was gross. Bottles on the table were sticky & dirty. One bottle of salsa brought to our table had black gunk around the inside of the top. Some fell into the bowl my husband was using! Thats how we noticed it. Yuck! The enchilada in the combo plate I ordered had so much cheese on top I couldnt tell what it was. Vegetable fajitas were made of steamed or microwaved California vegetable mix! They were horrible! Not like any vegetable fajitas weve had before. This place is AWFUL. We wont be back & definitely wont recommend.

Horrible service. My waitress Jaime was very rude to my boyfriend and me but chatted up the other customers. She was very short and curt and seemed like she did not want to be there or to serve us. I work in customer service so I get it but she made me very upset. Im not sure what we did because we are very polite customers. Food came out quickly but it wasnt good at all. Salsa tasted watered down, queso tasted like they melted velveeta cheese into a cup. Tacos were okay. This is coming from someone who loves Mexican food and frequently visits Mexican Fiesta in Dearborn. Save your time and go to that one instead.

THE BEST MEXICAN AROUND! This has been my favorite restaurant for the last 20 years (since I was 8 years old). I literally crave this place regularly and rave to people about how good the food is. My personal meal of choice is the cheese covered burritos to which I get double rice as the sides with the meal... Yummm! There are so many other good things to try here that are delicious and the ambiance is really great to just sit and talk or even have a family gathering. It may not be everyones favorite Mexican restaurant like it is mine but I still think you should at least give it a try.

My family has been coming to this location ever since it opened (20+ years, I have been coming here since I was a baby!). We absolutely love it. Its consistent, the service is good and its cheap! It may not be the most authentic Mexican I have ever had, but its the best. The tortilla chips come out hot, the guacamole is fresh (not from a bag), the side of coleslaw may seem odd at first but its the perfect compliment to hot Mexican food. Some of our favorites include: bean burritos, tostadas and carne asada. You must try the botana! Not to mention the cheap margaritas and pina coladas!

I dont see why this place is popular. The food is average at best. The wait staff is overworked. The hosting staff is a bunch (6?) of teens who spent more time preening and cooing to each other at the host lectern rather than helping anyone. The wait area is nice which is good because at peak times you will be spending a lot of time there. The decor is dated. If my guests hadnt wanted to go I wouldnt have bothered. I had to flag down the head tween at the host station to get a waitress. Why they have twice as many hosts as they need and half the wait staff they need is beyond me.
