I reminded my family as we entered to get their coats off quickly because we might not have much time before the food arrives...these guys take care of you in no time flat! One guy seats you while another is reaching around the first guy with a basket of tortilla chips and sauce while the next guy is impatiently waiting behind them to get your drink order. As we were reviewing the menus today, two guys ran by, literally racing each other to the back room to get it set up as the first part of a large group was coming in. And while at some places you have to drink strategically to make sure you get your refills when you need them, thats not a concern here since they dont bother to wait to hear you slurping the last droplets before they top you off. The good folks at El Patio seem to have a very good grasp of customer service. This is the only place I go where a tip over 25% is always warranted and earned. We moved to the area last year and have been thrilled to find this restaurant (and its sister in Highland Township) and add it to our regular rotation. The food is very good, very consistent between visits, and youre not going to find many places with better prices for this good a meal. And for those of you with a child who wards you off with the crossed fingers when you mention going to a Mexican restaurant, my daughter gives the chicken tenders two thumbs up (as shes chewing), and the parents are happy since the portions are larger than most places we go. And El Patios best-kept secret is their top-notch desserts. My wife and I have stopped in just for dessert, each enjoyed our own, and left having spent less than six bucks. Next time youre in, make sure you save a little room and try a sopapilla dripping with honey or a flan.

This restaurant runs like a finely engineered machine. Staff seems to navigate in perfect unison. They were so fast at everything that it makes fast food restaurants seem slow and clumsy. The staff are down to business, no chit chat with customers or other staff. This may come off as rude and impersonal to some, however, there is no time wasted. As soon as we got to the table, the chips were delivered before we sat down and immediately had wait staff ready to order beverages. Those were served within 2 minutes and they were ready to take our order. Barely 3 minutes passed and our food was at our table. The chips were very good, not greasy like some other places. However, the ground beef was very bland and greasy. My Taco was saturated with grease and got soggy within a few minutes. The refried beans were absent of beans and looked like a sauce. The Spanish rice was bland but what flavor it did have was great. Overall, Id say that it is an ok Mexican restaurant. Both of us felt sick shortly afterwards and into the next day. We are guessing that it was from the excess grease. Despite the excellent service, we decided that this restaurant is not for us and do not plan on returning. However, if your digestive system likes greasy foods and you prefer bland food, you may want to give it a try.

I have been to the Waterford location several times- the great food keeps me coming back. However, Ive always felt the service was a little bit lacking. Im not sure how the service gets such positive reviews. To my experience, the guys just are not very friendly, a few times they seemed downright surly. I was willing to overlook that because of the quality and value for price of the food. However, after today I am not sure I will be back. We had a coupon for Buy One Get One Half Off. After we noticed that the coupon was no longer on the table where we put it, we assumed our server had picked it up. When we got the bill, the discount had not been applied. When an employee came to clear our table, I asked about it, and he said, "coupon, what coupon?" I told him the coupon had been on the table and we assumed it had been picked up by our server. When we asked to talk to our original server, he said that that server was gone and that he hadnt seen any coupon. We asked another employee about it and were basically dismissed. They were both very rude about it, and made us feel like they thought we were lying about it. Im not sure if the surly, dismissive and unprofessional treatment is worth ANY quality of food.

Not sure why the bad reviews, we have been coming here for about 5 years. Service is the best out of any restaurant Ive been, very fast. Food is above average. I like the few dishes I get. Sometimes the staff doesnt seem so friendly, but now that we have gone there so much, I think it is just they eat they are. But they always take care of us when we go. My only never comment would be they dont give you time to enjoy your chips salsa and cheese, they really want to take your order. Most wouldnt see this as a flaw. If the food didnt come out so fast this would be an issue. So we just tell then a few times we just are not ready to order. Dont expect alcohol, only reason why other I know dont go here, they like there margaritas. Me, I rather better food so I come here. You Wont Be Disappointed!

Service is fast but a little pushed upon. Although, I do understand since the place filled up pretty fast. Salsa and chips are excellent, I could not keep my hands off these even after I got my food. I ordered the dinner combo #5 which was chicken enchiladas with refried beans and rice. I did not expect to find chicken gravy onto of my enchiladas and when I saw that I thought to myself, gross! I did not say anything and proceeded to eat my meal. The portion was great and needless to say it tasted really good! You never had to ask for refills on your drink bc they kept that up really well. I did leave with the impression that they are reting to Americanize the food and wished it was, although kind of is, a bit more authentic. I would come here again!

One of the worst experiences I have ever had at a restaurant. The portions were extremely small for the price. My botana contained less than a tablespoon of meat, there were 2 radishes, that werent even cut, thrown on top of plain chips and about half a raw onion. There was some avocado on mine, but half of it was black and rotten. When asked about it I was told I would have to order another one if I wanted anything different. Um, no! It was disgusting, truly. When we put in a second order for cheese sauce, in an attempt to make our original meals edible, they told us we already ordered and that when we get our food we should leave. Extremely rude, to say the least! I have no idea how this place is even open...
