I would love to give them five stars because they have a welcoming feel of a small, intimate and cozy business when you walk in the door, but there are a few things that put a damper on the overall rating. They have fantastic food and coffee. I love their hand made bagels and cream cheese, as well as soups and their variety. I have been going there off and on for several years, sometimes as much as once or twice a week, and probably 3 out of 4 times they get my order wrong, thankfully, its always good! I also find I have to plan at least 15 minutes to run in, order, pay and leave. They are busy, but they also move at a different pace. Probably the biggest reason I cannot give a higher rating is the lack of comfort and hospitality. Even for as long of a time as I have frequented their establishment, I still feel like I am very unwelcome. I have watched others greeted decently, but cannot surmised to spite my efforts to share a smile and pleasant greeting, why I am generally greeted with a glare and a very business, no-nonsense, "what do you want" attitude. There are actually times I have gone to a different place to get my bagel and sandwich just to avoid the awkward feeling, but sometimes their food is just so good I grit my teeth and bare the discomfort for the crave. I was asked once how I was doing. It threw me off guard and you could have knocked me over with a feather! all in all its an awesome place for a breakfast grab, especially with their seasonal items, just dont expect to much warmth from the staff.

7 months Ive lived in the area and just decided on a whim to stop in and grab some bagles and espresso. I was very plesantly suprised Im a transplant from northcentral West Virgina so my buddies would always bring me bagles from New York when they went home for holidays and these are a close second to bagles from the city.

Fresh made bagels! What could be better than that! They have a lot of variety from traditional, to sweet treats, to savory. My favorite is the garlic!! I love that they use good sized diced pieces of garlic on the top that toasted a bit. The staff is very friendly and work quickly to take care of everyone.

Ive been wanting to stop in for months now and finally decided to come in for breakfast. Im so glad I did! Everything is fresh and very tasty. I enjoyed it so much that I came back the next day with my fiancé and we will be regulars from now on!

These are REAL New York style bagels! Salt stix is the best!! Traverse city cherry and cinnamon vanilla are a family favorite. Coffee always hot hot and smooth. The best!

Great place to grab an espresso drink or coffee on the east side of town! Bagels are very fresh and when you pay for cream cheese they lob it on. Friendly fast service.
