My fiancee and I wanted a nice dinner so we decided to try the Woodstone Grill. I had heard good things about it. We received a very nice reception at the door. The young lady was very friendly and we were seated immediately. The decoration and atmosphere were very nice and I could tell it was a good place for family meals as well as couples out for a nice evening on the town. Our waiter was equally friendly and very helpful and when we had a request he took care of it immediately. My fiancee ordered the steak with mushrooms and onions, a salad and a baked potato. His steak was cooked well as he ordered and the salad was very fresh and very good. I ordered french onion soup which I have had the authentic and this was pretty close except the chef used croutons instead of bread cubes. But it was very good and I loved it. The steak salad I ordered was wonderful! The mixed greens were very fresh and all of the vegetables were as if they were just cut for the dish. The steak was cooked with herbs and was very tender. The mix of greens, the meat and the vegetables with the green apples was delicious as was the dressing. The presentation was lovely, and the dressing complimentary to the entire dish. My fiancee and I were very pleased and agreed that we would be coming back. In my opinion this is one of the best restaurants in Belleville! Everyone here should give it a try I believe they will be as pleased as we are. Whomever owns this has done a great job. My compliments to the Chef! I will recommend this to others in town!

When we walked in, we were not greeted. Hostess had her head down looking at her phone. We walked passed her, she never acknowledged us, and we went straight to the bar. Werent offered menus by the bartender. Had to go up to the hostess, that yet again had her head down looking at her phone just to get menus. Food is always good, the service is ALWAYS terrible. I try to give the benefit of the doubt and say, "well maybe they were just short staffed." or "maybe theyve hired better servers by now." But thats never the case. Ive been there 5 times now over the course of 9 months and Ive never had a positive experience with service. But again, the food is pretty good. Another couple walked in after us and had to ask the hostess if there was a bartender because they were they 5 or so minutes and no one offered them drinks or menus. All the reviews talking about poor service is dead on.

Well. Had high hopes this one. Closer to home but still not worth it. Staff arguing at the door when we walked in. Waitress walked up rubbing her face. We were here at 6 pm on a Friday, however the baked potatoes were not ready yet. Which we were told about after we had already started our salads. The salads had lots of wilted edges and were very heavy on cheese but were otherwise o.k. Dinner was as generic as it could be. The marinated chicken was possibly freezer burned. The burger was overcooked and served without ketchup or mustard which we had to ask for. The sea salt chips were undercooked and underseasoned, and had a faint taste of the fried fish. Sadly. I doubt that we will be willing to give this place a second chance .

Decided to go try this place, started out ordering 2 killians, the waitress comes back saying there is only one killian left just in case you were you wanted to order another round,there is only one left. Really? who the heck stocks the beer? this is dinner time and you only have 1 left? We order the potato skins to start off with. The skins were nothing to write home about. I ordered the 14 oz prime rib. The prime rib was hard to cut and very dry with no flavor at all. It was very disappointing. The only thing the waitress said was Oh I am sorry you did not like it. She did not ask me if I wanted to order anything else, she just took the plate and left. Needless to say I wont waste my gas to drive to this place anymore.

Loved the ambience of this place, the warm wood finishes, the cozy booths, the music that wasnt so loud that you couldnt talk, and just dark enough. Im not normally a rib eater - lots of work for little pay off - but got talked into trying the 1/2 rack baby back special and am a convert! Lots of meat, tender, juicy, and you can eat with a knife & fork. My friend had the fish & chips and swore it was the best hed had outside of the U.K. (hes English)! As for drinks, we happened in at happy hour and the beer selection was excellent at great prices. Nice to see this place back at the quality & standard of the old days of the Woodstone Inn.

We made reservations for a large party of 50 way in advance. When we arrived tables were not put together and the place was cold. There was not enough wait staff. I think there was only 4 staff for our party. I had the cider salmon which i am sure would have been better if it was warm and the baked potatoe was so over cooked. Everyones food was cold, we had to go to the bartender for pitchers for our refills ourselves. It was a real disappointment. I was hoping to find a good place to eat.

Got to the table, and there was a dead mosquito on it. Passed it off, hoping food would be good. My water tasted funny. Onion petals were disgusting, pulled pork sandwich was disgusting, my pickle tasted old and extremely warm. My friends chicken tenders tasted like they were frozen, had freezer burn, and just dropped in a basket. The only thing I could bear eating was my side of broccoli and my friends fries. Staff was friendly, but Im never coming here again.

My son and I stopped in on the way to the airport, we didnt want to get fast food so we tried Woodstone. Our food was outstanding, we had the boneless BBQ wings for an app which were awesome, I had the California Ruben and my son had a burger. Both were prepared perfectly and outstanding. The fries were really, crispy and had magical seasoning. We were instant fans! Highly recommend. Oh, and the service was top notch and friendly.

Although out of my way but this is one of my favorite places. The owner makes the difference. Always there to help and really cares for you being there . Food and service has always been good for the times I went there . Ribs is my favorite and absolutely delicious. Drinks have always been generously poured. You should give it a try . Just off the highway easy in easy out . Sorry no big sign on Highway.

awful will never go there again. My husband got sick. I ordered something they were out of so I ordered a hamburger with no sauce. It came with everything on it I sent it back and a burger came out less then 5 minutes I ripped it in half and it was raw in the middle needless to say I didnt eat there that night. My kids didnt like what they got either. A waste of money. Service was super slow.
