Ive been here before for the dumplings and they were excellent. Went there today for generals chicken. Not good. I didnt eat the chicken because texture wise, it was weird. And it tasted funny. I talked to the waitress off to the side so no one else heard. I got the bill where they still charged me full price. I asked the waitress again if I could get something to replace the chicken since I didnt eat it. I asked for some dumplings. I signed my receipt that I paid and when she came back again I asked her if I could get the dumplings or something else. She said no. So I paid for the meal and all I ate was the egg roll. I will not go here again. I hope they are not trying to sell something else as chicken.

Like the frozen dumplings you get from the asian market, if I wanted those I would have just bought and brought home... also its very cold in there. Waitress was friendly however the food is very unimpressive. Maybe we are spoiled with having authentic before but this place just isnt worth it and needs to be much better to survive as restaurant and stay open. just my and my families opinion. Also they didnt have half of the things listed on their menu... makes it pointless. I have a feeling a lot of these reviews are from friends and or family of the restaurant... please save your time and money.

If you want cream cheese wontons or other Americanized Asian cuisine, please go to Panda Express or No Thai. If you want ambience and fancy decor, go to main street. If the quality and flavor of food is what matters to you and you want to experience genuine homemade dumplings that we Chinese eat in China, this is the place for you. Yee Siang has delicious, flavorful, and juicy dumplings that remind me of Chinese New Years in China. I cant really say that about any other restaurant in Michigan. Oh, try the pork burger too.

This place was highly recommended and very busy, but I could not tell you why. Our dumplings were bland and uninspired, and service was incredibly slow and scattered. We did not get the lamb skewers we ordered with the dumplings until over 20 minutes after we were finished with the dumplings and about to give up on them, and the skewers were so salty I couldnt even have told you what protein they were by the taste. Poor food, poor service, no reason I could ever see to come back.

Did they change owners recently? It used to have somewhat slow service, but very good food. Last time we went there though the waiters were different people. The restaurant was full as usual, but this time they tried to turn us away, saying that the wait for food was over an hour. Even after we sat down saying that it was OK (in the past the wait was never that long), they insisted that we should not order fried dumplings because it would take even longer. It was impossible to stay.

Consistent, excellent dumplings made in the old-fashion way (hand crafted); juicy, succulent, full of flavor (7-8 different ones to choose from). My favorite is the pork-shitake and the fish-leek; Also, try the northern Chinese version of beef burger, or the spicy beef noodle, you will never think of beef the same way. Make sure you help yourself to a serving of the black-vinegar, which goes nicely with the dumplings. Easy parking, normally very little wait time to the table.

One of the most authentic dumpling places I have been since my visits back to china. The dough is made from scratch and the filling reminds me so much of home. This is one of those surprising places that catch you off guard because it is soo delicious. Very fairly priced and food comes out quickly. Service may not be perfect but everyone is super friendly and the quality and price cannot be beat. Will be returning many many times in the future.

Yo this place sucks, my "hot chili noodle" taste like Im eating a pine tree with nothing hot in my mouth. Dumplings are okay but nothing special other than portion size friend ordered "pan-fried" and received them boiled or some weird rendition of pan-fried. Other friend did enjoy rice dish. But awful service as well only received 2 menus and 2 waters and 4 pairs of chopsticks... There was 4 of us and 2 asked for forks and we all asked for water.

Excellent portions with REAL meat, hidden gem for sure! The soups looked fantastic and I had the generals chicken combo. The only thing I would say for not giving it 5 stars, they dont make it spicy at all and give you hot oil that doesnt really work. Everything needs much more flavor. Dumplings, I had 2 kinds and they werent very good, Evergreen is the best in area, but I will go back for the soup, PLEASE make things more spicy !

We had food delivered, and I have to say I was pleased with how quickly it arrived and that it was still hot. Now, having said that, the orange chicken was hammered! Super overcooked and dry with absolutely no flavor really. The chicken and shrimp dumplings were good the next day, and the crab cheese was a bit more savory than Ive had at other places, but it was decent. Stick with the dumplings only.

Bland dumplings, very greasy if pan fried. Dipping sauce was more vinegar or soy based instead of an actual sauce, hard to explain. Wouldnt recommend making a special trip here or dining in. Noodles were served very plain wth some hot pepper flakes... of all the food I can only recommend the potstickers as they are the only tasty seasoned dumplings on the menu, and yes, I tried them all.

Food quality is unstable. First time was okay except they gave less dumplings - meant to be 18pcs but only got 15pcs. They fixed it for us though. Second time the same noodle is different to the first, it seems they use different sauce. And our fried pork chives dumplings became fried pork mushroom dumplings and they werent cooked - raw meat inside! Cant trust this place now.

Theres not a single restaurant that compares to the authentic food in this very small family ran restaurant! It is unbelievably delicious great prices and by far the least Americanized food around! I have not had one thing on the menu Thats not better here than everywhere else Ive tried! If I could I would give them 11 Stars Auto 5! Thats no joke they are the best

Very poor service. Was the first of 4 other tables to come in, and was served last. After waiting 30 minutes for water, and seeing other tables be served I was pretty frustrated. Nevertheless, after another 15 minutes the dumplings arrived and they were quite tasty. The crab rangoons left much to be desired. Next time I will order it as takeout ahead of time.

Very good carryout experience! I had the chicken & shrimp combo dumplings, theyre great they came with a slightly spicy sauce, which was a nice level as I like spicy, but with flavor. I also had chicken fried rice which was good but nothing special, no chewy pieces of chicken though like you get at some places.

Tiny little hole in the wall dumpling restaurant. The menu includes a number of different traditional offerings. The spring rolls were hot and fresh. The dumplings are fantastic. I like pan fried beef and onion with plenty of black vinegar. Yum! Service is fast and polite. Casual dining.
