Oh Crescent Ridge, where did you go wrong? Yes, your ice cream is yummy. But your prices for ice cream are much higher than local seasonal ice cream places. Yes, your portions are bigger, but to a gluttonous degree. As of September, 2011, prices went up for ice cream. A small is $4.75 (2 scoops) and a large is $5.25 (3 scoops) A small is way more than enough for anybody. A child size (one scoop) is $4.25! It’s also way too much for a child to eat, so much of the time, it gets wasted. What are you doing to the carbon footprint? We know that Bliss Dairy, makes your ice cream, so maybe you can charge what they charge their customers? And what happened to your customer service? We sent a complaint via email twice and no response. Do you feel that business is so good that you ignore loyal customers? General public: If you want ice cream, there are so many other options in the area that are open from May-September. Unfortunately, the choices dwindle when summer ends and all there is are corporate, ie: Friendly’s, (which recently went bankrupt) Coldstone Creamery, Baskin Robbins and Dairy Queen. But at least they offer cones for kids that are under $2.00. Open Year round: There is Spruce Pond Creamery in Franklin, Black Cow in Millis (might be open year round, call for updates) Bliss Dairy in Attleboro, J.P. Licks at Legacy Place,Dedham. If you want ice cream for your kids, go to McDonalds for a 99 cent soft serve cone or Friendly’s for a $1.39 kids cone, you won’t be tempted to eat it yourself and you’ll save a ton of cash.

Dont bother, find a different ice cream place. I Drove 40 min with my 3 daughters. Then waited 30 min in line. During that time the so called family friendly place was with a mix of ages including young people i hope my daudaughters never act like or would be friends with. Then we get to the window and are told "we are out" 5 times we have to try and get something different. I did try it. Its good ice cream but hard to find bad tasting ice cream. I will stick to my local ones in Taunton. It was a shock to me that my taunton ice cream places have better class of people and friendlier people taking my order.

Extremely well done classic ice cream. Look to Toscaninis or JP Licks for cutting edge flavors, but Crescent Ridge is a local institution due to its excellent traditional ice cream. The portion sizes are absurdly large. Order the kiddie size unless you intend to make a meal out of your ice cream. Service can be slow at times and the lines long, but it is worth it if youre in the area. Long gone are the cows (I believe they now source their milk from Vermont), but the traditional quality of this New England dairy bar remains.

Cows. Goats. Ice cream. People. Lines. Crescent Ridge is regionally famous. Its one of the last old-fashioned ice cream farms left in Eastern Massachusetts. The North Shore has Richardsons Ice Cream and the South Shore has Crescent Ridge Dairy. My best piece of advice, when you see a huge line, is to go inside and pick up a half-gallon of 1% low-fat chocolate milk to bring home and order your ice cream treats. Only customers who order from the cases or displays are allowed to order ice cream from inside.

I have been going to Crescent Ridge for about 40 years. The ice cream has always been excellent and the portions are large. Heres the problem.....when the grandfather ran the place you got great ice cream, huge portions at a tremendous price. Since the grandson took over it has gone corporate. Charge what the market will bear. The place is expensive! It will cost you $25 for 4 cones! Yikes! And if you want something exotic like a hot fudge Sunday you best get a loan first!

Crescent Ridge provides milk in real glass bottles! There are several generations who have never tasted milk from bottles-yes, there is a difference! CRs milk is the best-their Skim Milk tastes like 2% milk but it has No Fat! All of their dairy products are the best ever. Their ice cream and frozen yoghurt is the best I have ever tasted. Having their products delivered to my home is very helpful and their drivers are happy to assist you. Dont ever change!

I have been enjoying Crescent Ridge Ice Cream for 45 years and plan to keep going back for another 45 if I make it that long. The prices have gotten a bit steep, but the sizes are huge. I havent been able to finish anything bigger than a "kiddie" size in years. Strawberry shortcake are amazing! They use biscuits, not those horrible yellow sponge cake (ugh!) things. Peppermint stick with jimmies (they are NOT sprinkles!) is my "go to" favorite.

The ice cream here is amazing! Its made on site and they have a wide range of flavors to choose from. My personal favorite is the mint oreo. The serving sizes are massive - the sizes are teeny tot, kiddie, small, and large. The "small" is enormous - I usually get teeny tot or kiddie size. There is also a small store where you can buy their milk, packaged ice cream and some meats (like grass fed beef).

Love their ice cream and have been going there since I was a kid. The only problem I have is they need to reduce their sizes and prices. How can a family afford to go there. A mini kiddie is 4.00 and its way too much ice cream for a child. With portions like that no wonder why theres so much obesity. They need to start serving half of that and cut down on the price. Im an adult and can hardly finish it!

I get home delivery and I love it!!! The driver is always there at the exact same time on our specified day, and if I meet him at the door he brings the food into my kitchen for me. The milk is unreal and ALL the other food - fish, meat, burgers, desserts, are incredible. Dealing with the office on questions or changes is easy and everyone is extremely nice...EXTREMELY HIGH RECOMMENDATION!!!!!

The ice cream at crescent Ridge is amazing. It is always busy here so you know the ice cream is fresh. Staff is always pleasant. They allow sampling. They have 4 sizes, tiny tot, kiddie, small and large. The small is huge! The tiny tot is perfect for someone who doesnt want to over indulge and wants to keep cost down.

The ice cream comes in a variety of flavors (35+) and sizes. Note that the "small" is actually huge, but you can opt for a "kiddie" size. Overall the flavors are good, but not as rich/creamy as "premium" store bought varieties. The door on the far left also allows customers to enter and buy items like pies, meats, and milk.

AWESOME ICECREAM, ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT! HOPEFULLY MY KIDS GET THE CHANCE TO ENJOY THERE AS MUCH AS I DID GROWING UP. MY FAVORITE IS THEIR GRAPENUT ICECREAM AND I ALWAYS END UP GETTING KIDDIES SIZE BECAUSE OF THE PORTION, WHICH IS SOMETIMES TOO MUCH BUT OTHER THEN THAT TWO THUMBS UP!

Great ice cream! Highly recommend visiting to get some, the flavors are all great! Glad that theyre open year round. Note that you can use the inside register during the summer months if youre buying a container to take home, which Id recommend if you want a short line if its busy.
