Ive been here 4 times and the first three were great with excellent appetizers meals and drinks until July 1 2017. Stopped in with folks from out of town. Terrible frustrating experience. Had a bad mixed drink (although Ill admit this may have been my fault just not liking what I ordered). The real problem came with dinner. It took over 45 minutes from after we finished our appetizer for our entrees to come out! 45 minutes! We speculate that part of our order was forgotten. My shellfish dish was way overcooked, as if it had been sitting under the heat lamps cooking well past when it should have been served. Overall I felt terrible for my guests from out of town that they didnt experience this great restaurant in Salem. I hope they clean up their act and someday when I return I have the great experiences that I remember.

Adriatic was the very first place we went to eat when we arrived in Salem due to the reviews of others. It did not let us down in any way shape or form. It was empty due to Hurricane Sandy passing through (all of Salem was a ghost town pretty much) but thank the stars Adriatic was open. The food was SO good. We got the grilled octopus, the scamorza pizza and the assorted mushroom pizza. The portions were perfect and the food was prepared perfectly. I really cant overstate how awesome the food was. It was soooo good. The waitress was also able to suggest a wine based on others that I liked. To finish, we got the Tiramisu gelato. Oh gosh. So good. Dont even think about skipping out on this place.

The Adriatic Restaurant is both Beautiful and has excellent food. The Lamb Lollipops (ie Chops) and Littleneck Clam appetizers are exceptional. The Menu is pricey by Salem standards but not by Boston standards. BTW the lamb chops are also available as a main, highly recommended. The mains all look great with many seafood and meat items and Italian vegetarian fare is available upon request. Brick oven pizzas are also available at a lower price than the mains.

I have been a loyal customer of Adriatic Restaurant for many years now and I have to say that this restaurant gets better and better every day. Tonight I had a pizza and … OMG … this is by far the best pizza in town. Since Vini hired a new “pizzaiolo” straight from Italy, the pizza in this restaurant has been amazing. So overpriced for the tiny portions. Asked for extra potatoes and said we didnt mind paying extra... Gave us a whole one wedge more than the plate would have come with. LOL maybe we ordered wrong but I cant imagine ever going back there. Scallop appetizer is $12 or something for a whole two tiny scallops............

Forget the Boston North End. Come to Salem for by far the best food in the north shore. Linsey is a super friendly bartender and a classy atmosphere. Ask about the daily specials, they are always creative and fantastic. Vinny the manager is a great guy, who takes great pride in the business.

This restaurant has top notch Italian food, wistful service, a packed bar, and fun regulars. It attracts an eclectic, educated crowd and on most nights its full of happy people. This sounds robotic and generic, but each of those things is genuinely true. A must visit in Salem.

This place makes cavatelli pasta fresh every morning. The pasta is rich and delicious. The prices are pretty good for the quality you get. Quaint atmosphere good for a date. There is also a very good wine selection.

The food was the worse food that I have seen, and taested. I will never go back even if they payed me to go. The staff was rude and didnt want to make sore if my order was right... NEVER AGAIN NEVER AGAIN...

The veal is worse than a cheap cube steak from Price Rite. I got a gift card to go here, so I shouldnt complain. I would have complained if they gave me $100 for my troubles.
