I was pleasantly surprised that my recent meal at Ninety-Nine in Quincy didnt give me full-blown food poisoning, however it did upset my lower GI tract later if you know what I mean. I was dining with a family member and didnt send my food back because I wasnt paying and didnt want to seem rude. Knowing I was tempting fate by ordering seafood on a Monday, I ordered the Captains Combo Platter - 4 fried scallops, 4 fried shrimp and a piece of fried haddock - assuming the frying process would make it all tasty and technically safe to eat. Coleslaw and French fries were the default side dishes but I opted for rice and broccoli instead. The haddock and my other fried items were all tasty if not the freshest in the world (but I knew that would likely be the case when I ordered). The tarter sauce - for me an essential part of a meal containing fried fish - tasted too sweet, as if it had gone bad. I tried two bites of fish and set the tarter sauce aside fearing bacterial repercussions. I ate the rest of my fried items plain :( The rice in my opinion was not edible. As soon as our server set my plate down I knew it because it was visibly dried out. The rice was dry and crunchy throughout but especially on the edges - in no way fresh or tender. I think it had dried out under heat lamps. I tried no more than two bites. The broccoli was steamed and bright green - delicious! We ordered a hot fudge sundae for dessert. There was so much fudge that it was over powering, and there were large chunks of ice in the ice cream(!). Overall bad meal - will not go back as long as I have the choice.

Having eaten at this location many times we were a bit disappointed in the service recently. First we were taken to a dirty booth. When I objected we were quickly shown to another booth. We decided on two 3-course entrees. The food was good as were the drinks. However our waitress brought the check BEFORE we got dessert. She sat it on the end of the table where we left it untouched. When she returned with the desserts, she asked if we needed change. We just looked at her. She put the desserts in front of us and left. When she came back, again she asked if we needed change. I said its a card. First of all why should any indication of payment be given before the customer finishes a meal? Second the practice of asking whether or not change is due is totally unnecessary. Wait staff should simply take the bill folder and deal with the customers method of payment. Whether or not change is wanted is for me to say without being prompted--it is a rude practice.

I have been to this 99 Restaurant numerous times before. I have never really had a bad experience at this 99 Restaurant. So I really cannot complain about it. I went there earlier today for lunch with my friend. The last time I was here was a couple of months ago. We did not have to wait very long to get seated. We did not have to wait very long for our server. Dave was our server and he was polite and friendly. He gave us a couple extra minutes to look over the menu. We got an appetizer because I had a coupon for a free appetizer. The flatbread appetizer that we had order was very good. I had ordered the colossal meatball and penne. My friend had ordered the chicken pot pie. Both were fantastic and worth it. The overall experience was great and I would go back there again.

I agree with other customers, the food is good but the service is lacking. A few good servers and bar tenders are pleasant to have but the eagerness to throw a bill at you and rush your meal every step of the way is very unpleasant and off putting especially when half full. Also if Im just ordering apps and drinks my service is much worse than when a full.meal with many servers including snappy rude managers. Good food always, good service at times but institutional practices of rushing food orders and bill payments is very rude as is the poor service when just stopping in for apps and drinks. Will return bc of food quality, drink deals and location but the quick pushy at times rude service needs to change.

I loved it because my daughter was able to come out to eat with her father & I. We all ordered the steak, and it was fine, but usually its Very Good. Funny thing is that her steak was cooked perfectly while ours were over cooked, not enough that we sent them back, but our daughters came out perfectly! So we were happy!

I used to go a lot but then we started getting raw food(turkey tips, salmon) one time i went my cousin and i both ordered turkey tips and they were both raw, the manager offered us free ice cream but we complained that it had happened before so he paid for out bill but other than that the service is really bad

This 99 is a ok for a quick stop if your very hungry, service could improve! Steak portion was small, veggies were cold my partner and I were hungry so didnt complain seeing the price was reasonable! My suggestion try a different 99 restaurant..

I went to the bar for a quick drink and the bartender was very nice and efficient. His martini was incredibly strong, got my moneys worth but it was a bit to choke down. I gave this place a poor decor rating as most chains have standard decor.

Good cold beer and clean is the best I can come up with for the 99. The food isnt anything great, definitely not fresh, bland, full of sodium and usually overcooked. Ill meet friends for a drink here but will never order food again.

Its a average 99 restaurant. Not much to say about cheap frozen food that is served at all our franchise chain restaurants. Service was good, atmosphere is good, food is ok. Best meal is probably the ribs.

Place was redone to keep up with competition. But to have the waitress smell and rig of cigarette smoke just before you eat leaving that stench all over the fresh food? Come on.

Service is a little slow so I would not recommend this place for your lunch break unless you call in the order ahead of time. Food was good and drinks were cold!
