I went in on Sunday night to grab a quick bite. I had just spent my whole day waiting tables also... so I know how it is (not always a walk in the park). The waitress didnt ask us how we were, she didnt smile once, she gave me short, one worded answers. It was 9:00 when we got sat, they stopped serving food at 10. I was aware of the time, I wanted to cash out before they stopped serving food so she could finish up her night. She obviously wanted us to leave too because I was three bites into my app when my dinner came out. I was never asked how my food was until she came over to ask if we were all set. This really sucks because I love the atmosphere and the beers on tap, but yet again I got weird, unfriendly vibes from the servers in this place. Wont be back.

I hosted a 60th Birthday Party for my sister this month! The fourth floor room was absolutely fabulous. It was a great size with a view of downtown Haverhill. The food was exceptional and reasonably priced. I cant say enough about Clem, Shannon, and the rest of the staff that assisted me with our celebration. My sister could not have been happier with the way everything went! I highly recommend hosting your next function at The Barking Dog Ale House!

One of the best craft beer bars in the Merrimack valley. Bright open space on the first floor, cozier bar on the third floor. The paper menu represents the tap offerings and it rotates regularly with great selection devided by beer style and seasonals. Dont forget to check out the bottle offerings and fancier beers in the red book. Food is great! Some of my favorites are the Patty Melt, Chicken Ceaser Wrap, the loaded fries and the Mother of Macs.

The bartender on the second floor had music blasting and was extremely rude. When I asked her a question about the pricing on the item, all she could do was say "what do you want me to do" with attitude and continue to talk down to me in an extremely rude manner. My family, friends and I visit this bar frequently but we will not be returning anymore. I was very polite with my question and didnt deserve to be spoken to the way I was

Their mac and cheese, loaded pub fries, and polish wings (buffalo pierogies) we all delicious. Their mixed drinks are always good, and they usually have a yummy sangria choice availabke, along with their cocktail menu. They are more well known for their selection of beers on tap. I think its usually about 30 beers, which change often, but I dont like beer so Im not completely sure on the specifics. Wait staff is friendly.

Place was nice and cozy. Apps were good (fried pickles, loaded fries) my bro in law got the burger was good for price. I got fried fish sandwich it was ok nothing that great. My fiance had turkey blt he liked it but was sick all night. My mother in law got half chicken mashed potatoes and broccoli. She said it wasnt that great and way over priced. So over all she is not happy to spend almost $100.

Went for lunch on Sunday. Beer was great, food that took over an hour to arrive with a virtually empty dining room not so great. Ordered a salad that was advertised as having grilled apples on it- those slimy apples that showed up on the plate were from a good old #10 can. Gross! Between that and the glacial pace of the kitchen I would not recommend.

Went on 11/24/2015 and has the rudest bar tender. Also a flaming acrobat brought my way-overcooked burger. Never asked if we needed anything with dinner and bartender was shocked when I asked another of the wait staff for condements while she spent our entire visit speaking to other staff. Good beer but bad food and service.

Bottle list is crazy overpriced. Prices are more than double the cost than at a decent bottle shop. Bartender likes to make patrons wait exorbitant amounts of time before taking drink order. I have given this joke of a man too many chances. Dont go here if you like good service.

Consistent quality food, with some menu items changing seasonally. Extensive craft beer options, also updated frequently. Multiple levels of dining make for minimal to no wait time. Beers in the 5-8$ range normally and food in the 10-15$ range.

We recently had the rehearsal dinner for our sons wedding at the Barking Dog. The dinner venue was very spacious, the food was excellent and the staff were extremely pleasant and helpful through the entire process. Were very pleased !!

They have a huge beer selection that rotates pretty frequently. The food is okay. They have a huge book of a menu and nothing really hits it out of the park, but everything is pretty good pub-style food.
