Tired and very, very hungry, I pulled in at about 6PM Thursday July 16 09. The lad at the counter said "How are you!" I said "Hungry as all get out!" and proceeded to read the board. I asked for a BLT sub, and as a special req. some tuna and cheese on it, as if it were a club. He said sure, Provolone? Yes, White or wheat? Wheat since youve got it. Large or small was the question I cant recall my answer to. But still, this conversation was about a sub for a very hungry man. Ten minutes later a girl comes out with a cute little sandwich, like Ma used to pack in my lunchbox. It startled me so, and I was already in full blood sugar crisis, that I said Id eat it rather than wait for it to be remade as a sub. It was a nice enough sandwich, though tiny and totally Provolone-free. It went down in two bites and I began to pine for the other half of the sub I had ordered. I go to cash out, I ask not to be charged for the absent cheese that I saw written on the order slip. Imagine my surprise when the girl not only charged me $1.50 extra for the spoonful of tuna she used, and offered no apology whatever, but made it my fault by saying: "We dont offer whole wheat sub rolls". Cost for my postage stamp sized sammich: $6.50 Price of the BLT sub I ordered: $5.50/sm 6.00/lg. (before additions of cheese/tuna)

I like this place, its a standard sub shop/roast beef place. The first time I came I got a steak bomb because I think its a great dish to evaluate a new place with. It wasnt bad, but it was chopped way to finely. Im not sure why some places do this, but its a huge turn off. Based on that I wouldnt have been eager to back there, but its really close to us so I tried again. I got one of their specialty wraps, and it was really good. The service is so-so, they usually seem a bit harried and orders take a little longer than they usually say it will. Id recommend this place if you want a sub or sandwich. Im going back to try the pizza and the roast beef, so Ill update when I do.

I love there chicken kabob calzone best around. I eat there at least once a week and sometimes twice. all the workers there have always been very nice. And i must say the owner is a nice guy. I am a regular there but one time i forgot my coupon for my order it was only a 5 dollar discount even though i didnt have it i explainded to the owner that i had forgot it and he gave me the money off anyway alot of places wouldnt do that. When reading through this sited i couldnt believe how many poor to fair ratings there were so i had to write my review.

Ive had pizza and subs. from this eatery. The pizza dough is rather rubbery and the sandwiches expensive for what they are. If I had the materials to make a pizza, or sandwich I dare say I could put out better product...which isnt saying much. Like the previous reviewer I found that wait staff there lacking & immature. There are certainly better eateries in nearby Gloucester, or Ipswich.

This place is very inconsistent, I ate their around 3 or 4 times a year, every time I would get a different result. Sometimes the pizza was very tasty and the ingredients were fresh, other times the pizza was rubbery and the ingredients seemed as if they had been found in the trash. Other than the pizza the food is decent at best. Cape Ann Pizza, is a nice place to grab a quick bite tho.

My husband and I are so lucky to live close to this sub shop. There are so many sub shops on the Northshore, so plenty to compare to. Cape Ann Pizza rarely disappoints, and our favorite foods from there are the calzones (especially spinach and feta), meatball sub and turkey club. The staff is amazing, friendly and really care about their customers.

Well I havent even got the food yet but customer service is a 1/5. They got 1 star for answering the phone and lost stars for a 5 minute hold time, blatant displeasure for taking my order, and rudeness. If I placed my order on their answering machine the experience would have made a better impression. Good luck

Nothing worse than paying $7.50 for a roast beef that is hot on the outside and ice cold in the middle, they microwave it right in front of you after its all put together. Then $2.50 for a drink????

Great pizza. Not much of a dining in place but the food is great. Ive been going here for years and cant see any reason that this wont continue.

Got sick eating here, had a slice of pizza and was on the toilet within 10 minutes! The food is as good as the sign looks!
