Went here with my boyfriend and my two friends who are both currently in Boston for school. They had never been and we were on vacation from Dallas and everyone we spoke to raved about this place, so we gave it a try. They opened at 9:30 on Sunday, and we arrived at 9:40 and there was already an hour wait. We were shocked, but when its that popular in the first 10 minutes, the place must be as amazing as everyone says. Our plane wasnt leaving for awhile, so we waited and they were true to that hour wait time. They seated us promptly, and the manager/owner was an absolute delight. He constantly checked on us while we waited for the table and kept us updated about how much longer it would be. Once seated, we were immediately greeted by our waiter, who was hilarious and extremely knowledgeable about the menu. We told him about our plane leaving in the early afternoon, and he also informed that same owner who immediately came to our table and vowed to have our food just the line. I ordered the cinnamon roll french toast and it was the best brunch meal I have ever had. I love chocolate, and it was the right amount on the soft bread with powdered sugar and just the right amount of cinnamon as well. My friends ordered the lobster eggs benedict which was also fabulous. THE BEST brunch I have ever had by far. The servers also do all of the orders from iPads, so when you pay and when you order, its instant and theres no waiting around on a lazy waiter. I will recommend this place to absolutely everyone: just make sure to call and get a reservation if you dont want to wait. Friendly and considerate staff, fabulous food, and great location, what else could you want?

I have food Allergies (Gluten-Free) and order a dish that has spinach instead of the muffins; it got to me and While taking care of my baby, I didnt notice that muffin hidden underneath the eggs and meat, and then once I did, I moved it off to the side since I was hungry and distracted with the baby and then get to the 2nd pile and noticed the same. It was one of the most expensive dishes on the brunch menus ($28) and after trying to pick though it and finding over 1/2 of it poluted with gluten (my allergy), I tried to send it back and get one with just the spinach as agreed, eggs and meat but they refused saying I had to send them back at the beginning. And even worse didnt even offer me anything I could eat alternately. I am sitting at a nearly Restaraunt (Catalyst) now which Ive been through several times in my short 2 week say here on Boston and would highly highly recommend them over this Luna medium end food place with an air of pretension. My fiancé and father-in-law and friend stayed to finish their food, but me and my 1 year old son left to get something I could eat. Their very poor service is extremely disappointing!!!! Jimmy H Food is ok, a bit overpriced and not really worth the wait in my opinion.

I visited Cafe Luna for the first time this morning. It was about 8:30 am and they were open, but a little slow - I am thinking the weekday morning opening is a new thing for them. The staff was very helpful and kind. They knew a lot about the coffees they served which was a nice touch for a connoisseur like me. I ordered an egg, spinach and cheese panini on focaccia bread (it usually comes with bacon, and when I asked for no bacon they were very willing to sub it out for some other breakfast meat, but I didnt want any). After I ordered, I was feeling a little leery - small place, will the bread be stale? $7 seemed like a lot for a sandwich. When I sat down at my desk and opened my sandwich, it was rather large. The bread was fresh. The eggs were freshly scrambled, the cheese was delicious and the baby spinach was delightful. So it was a very good sandwich. It was probably twice as big as it needs to be, however. Or maybe 2/3 the size would be more appropriate for an appetite and maybe a little cost reduction. I could easily feed 2 people on that single sandwich. This is the only reason it got 4 stars instead of 5, everything was delicious.

i came here for the brunch on a sunday afternoon with a friend and her two kids. we didnt have a reservation so we were told it would be a 45min wait. as we were waiting, the other ppl who were also waiting went in and out of the restaurant to order drinks and sitting on the ground. there was only two chairs outside for their customers and the two little kids took over it. instead of waiting for 45mins, it was actually just a 35-40min wait. wasnt too bad. we had this waitress with short blond hair who was extremely patient with us since we had kids. one of the kids spilled water all of the table and she gave us napkins with a smile. not only was the food good but the ppl are friendly. i ordered everything but the kitchen sink which had home fries, two sausage patties, two eggs, and a huge belgian waffle. i like everything in it except for the belgian waffle. the friend ordered a salmon omelette with a side of fruits which she liked. one of the kids had an order of two regular pancakes. it was two huge pancakes. the kid said she liked it. however, it did not come with syrup which i thought was weird.

I will not be going here again, and I will not recommend it to anyone. Way overpriced for what you get. I had 2 eggs, 3 very thin strips of bacon, a waffle, fruit cup, and water, and it was $16 with tip included. You can get a more filling and almost as tasty breakfast at Dunkin Donuts for $5. That said, the waffle (singular) was very good. So good, in fact, that it didnt need butter and syrup. But again, it wasnt filling, and I was hungry 30 minutes later. I also have issue with restaurants that feel very proud of itself, and this place was too pretentious for the quality and value of its food and service. Will not be going back, and advice my fellow internet readers to avoid this place.

Stopped in for weekday breakfast. Super friendly, awesome table set up with crayons and paper to spark imaginative doodles. The coffee was super, Blue Bottle is a great bitter but well rounded roast and soy milk was available for lactose troubled (extra charge). We ordered 1 western omelet- good size with 2 small slices of bread. 1 salmon bagel plate- the plate was set up for self assembly of the lox on an everything bagel. Moist and tasty salmon. 1 side salad with two eggs over easy cooked to perfection and fresh! Overall a solid stop for a quick breakfast in a friendly convenient spot!

This is the best restaurant in Central Square! The sandwiches were super tasty and services were great! It is a little crowded but you can always sit outside and enjoy your beautiful day! People there is the most awesome part about the place. They constantly check on you and make sure you are having a great time. I once forgot my wallet there and didnt realize it till 2days later. I wasnt expecting anything but called Cafe Luna anyway. They amazingly have my wallet with everything in it and were trying to contact me! Thank you! If this wont make them the best in the area, what else?!
