Went to this restaurant for a special occasion and was extremely disappointed. Very expensive for poor quality, and prepared food. To begin with, they give you a basket of Focaccia bread. Although the bread was good, they did not serve it with a plate of seasoned olive oil, crushed red pepper and Parmesan cheese to dip it into, that you would expect. Instead, you are given a bottle of plain olive oil to shake on your bread. I ordered a garden salad with bleu cheese dressing and received a salad, mostly iceberg lettuce and a lot of shredded carrots, that had a small amount of bleu cheese crumbled on top, with a watery vinegar dressing that had an odd aftertaste. I had one the specials for dinner, which was a seafood medley with fettuccine noodles. Not very good at all, and l had almost a full plate at the end of the meal. It was so bad, I didnt want a doggie bag to take the leftovers home. My friends ordered baked haddock, which they said was tasteless, and they only ate half of it. Certainly not fresh fish, and we wondered if the fish had been frozen. The bill for three people was $150.00, before the tip. A hefty price for lousy food. Venezia could benefit from a major overhaul, as far as the chefs and food are concerned. If they dont correct this problem, they will eventually find themselves out of business. Lets hope the owners and management make some serious, and immediate, changes.

Horrible experience. I was recommended this place by my mother because my wife and I are planning our wedding ceremony. To start, regular made loud and rude comments at me and my wife in the parking lot on arrival "oh there she is cheating on me again", which not not appreciated. The bread plates were filthy dirty, as well as the wine glasses. The food seemed half decent, but not authentic Italian. The waiter refused to bring me pecorino romano cheese, which was on the menu. When I left I got a painful stomach ache followed by violent diarrhea from the food. The establishment looks really nice but dont be fooled by appearances. The only good thing was the wine, earning one star at most for the entire experience. I will never go there again unless it is to be reimbursed for that pathetic excuse for a nice dinner. If youre looking for real Italian fine dining go to the north end.

Went to lunch here on a weekday. The food was very, very good -- its nice when a restaurant doesnt slack off during non-peak times. I had salmon and vegetables poached in a delicate, complex broth and my husband had scallops with morels and asparagus with a cream sauce, which when put on a fork together had wonderful texture and flavor -- something from the sea, something earthy, something green and fresh, all together. We were so impressed that we ended up splurging for dessert. The service was polite and pleasant but just a touch inattentive at times -- we had a bit of trouble flagging someone down to get a spoon, and they were a bit slow picking up our empty entree plates; I tend to expect a little more watchfulness from a high-end restaurant. But these were very minor complaints and affected our experience very little. We will definitely be coming back!

Arrived for an early dinner NY Eve, 5:30. The restarant was pretty empty, most tables would begin filling up after 6:00, so only 5 tables with diners. Ordered the raviolli and scallop entree, $40. The plate arrived with cold scallops, advised the staff, plate brought back into the kitchen and within 5 minutes back on my table. The kitchen microwaved the scallops and returned the same ones - even the half one that I had tried - now scallops are chewy and only half of them got the heat and the raviolli is now cold. For $40 I expeced a re-fire not a microwave - especially since the restaurant is almost empty at the time - it isnt like they were against the wall in the kitchen. I am completely disappointed.

I ate there this past Saturday. I ordered a steak special for $42 and the steak was ordered medium well and it arrived bloody red. I sent the steak back and it still came out raw red. I talked to the waiter again who suggested I send it back for third time. I was told that was the kind of steak it was. We were so unhappy and the manager never even came over to speak with us. The food was bland, unflavorful, over priced and just plain lousy! The ambiance was nice. My bill was around $100 and my date was so unhappy with his dinner and my choice of restaurant.

Attended a wedding , nice place. Appetizers were terrible Frozen scallops & bacon tasted fishy / not fresh, raw beef on a stale cracker had me baffled, terrible over-spiced salty Mexican egg roll, fruits & vegetables were also on a table as Appetizers which was ok. Haddock Stuffed with Lobster was most definitely previously frozen , tough, and flavorless. They use cut rate ingredients and try to present it as fresh. I catch my own fish and lobsters so I know my seafood well. This place would be 5 stars if they took a fresh ingredients approach.

Fabulous food! The restaurant was located on water front, not very easy to access, but we found it. We enjoyed everything we ordered, seafood, lamb shank, claim chowder, wine. Price was on the high side, but not exaggerated, Only pity, not the waiters fault, was when I asked for recommendation of wines, he recommended a wine really was no good. Apparently he never tasted it. We changed to a Sangiovese, fabulous, a very happy ending.

We actually had our wedding here and everything was amazing. Everyone had an amazing time. So five stars for the wedding venue. However, we have been to the restaurant more than once and I have been underwhelmed by the food and the service every time. I am not sure why the restaurant food is lower quality than the wedding food. That being said, the view is very nice and the ambiance is not bad at the restaurant.

This place is a stinkeroo. They used to have lobster bruschetta and they took it off the menu and now they wont make it. Plus about a year ago they doubled the prices and cut the portions in half. The food has always kind of stunk (except the bruschetta) but when you get a ton for cheap who cares. Now its expensive and crappy.

We took my mom there for her 80th birthday and the food, service and view was great! I will go back and try different dishes and enjoy the view! You can also go by boat if you have one! Their banquet facility looks nice and so did the bar area. The only negative thing was it wasnt easy to find, but worth the drive!

This place is run by gangsters, and wannabees, despicable to think they protect those that they throw in the ocean and stab each other in the back....all the while portraying themselves as a family restaurant...those days are gone my Italian friends please dont serve anymore of your neighbors to their relatives.

The Venezia has been my favorite restaurant for YEARS, I just dined there for Restaurant Week last night and fell in love all over again! The food was AMAZING! The avocado caprese salad, the calamari frito, the zuppa di pesce and BEST OF ALL the blueberry bread pudding were the most delicious things I ever tasted!
