I will give them the benefit of the doubt as it was a Monday night, however the food was only mediocre at best. Ordered Chicken Portabella... Chicken was dry and felt like it had not just been cooked to order but made earlier and re-heated. The Rice Pilaf had actually tasted as though it had been there for more than 24 hours... very hard and not editable. The service was awesome and she replaced the rice with Garlic Mashed Potato. Which was cold... guess the chef just did not care to serve anything hot. She then replaced with fries, which were definitely HOT, steaming hot. She also gave me an extra glass of wine on the house. So although everything except the food was good... the whole point of eating it is the FOOD! Dont think I will be back... or if I do, will definitely pick a night when the kitchen staff might care about the people dining in the restaurant and serve FRESH MADE HOT food.

brought my extended family here for easter 2012. i didnt know what to expect, had no preconception at all (just moved to the area) - found them online, called to reserve a table, and just went there. from the phone call right through to desert the Shoe was top-notch. friendly folks on the phone and honest smiles to great you when you show up. i dont recall what i ate or how much it was (as is typical for me, i recall asking them to surprise me and didnt explicitly order my meal). what i do recall was the feeling, the whole time we were there, that all of us were glad we chose the Shoe. the food was excellent, service was prompt and focused (asking the wait staff to surprise me turns out to be a good test for how comfortable they are with their own offerings), and by the time we left we were happy, full, and all talking about how great the meal was. ill be going back there without reservation.

Food = Nothing Special Service = Excellent Atmosphere = Rustic yet classy it was my familys first time their the wait staff was super friendly and pretty calm and laid back atmosphere i had ordered the black shoe tips (steak tips) they where cooked uneven and half of them raw, my wife and son had ordered a BBQ / Chicken combo which was tastey but the chicken was dry. Our waitress was friendly and easy to talk to and came back to check with frequency. bottom line for my experience was excellent waitstaff food was nothing special *also first time customers get and a five dollar coupon and take out menus with their check

A great lunch here with my wife! Service was right on and even my soda glass refilled without asking( no charge of course)!The restaurant was very clean inside and the atmosphere with gas fireplace a cozy ambiance! We happened to be passing through but recommend this gem to anyone who appreciates good food service and surroundings! We may make a special trip as its worth it!

Many thanks to the Horseshoe Grille for the delicious food for our sons graduation party. Everyone (adults and teenagers) raved about the chicken, pulled pork, and vegetables. The portion sizes were right on and the price was excellent. Pat, we greatly appreciate both the food preparation and the time you spent to help us plan this important family event!

Smoke BBQ should be smelled from the parking lot but I tried it anyway. There was no smoke flavor and no smoke ring. The Buffalo chicken dip had no Buffalo flavor. The only thing we like was the shrimp and polenta small bites. The ambience and look of the place is beautiful, but the food is bland and overpriced. The waitstaff was amazing.

We eat here regularly. Its family friendly, the food is very good (I like their Black & Blue burger, their small plates are quite good, and their specials are often outstanding), and the service is very good. Its often busy, but theres rarely a long wait. The outdoor seating is nice in the relatively narrow season its open.

For a BBQ place, Horseshoe probably has the best nachos on earth. Im serious, we go out of our way for them. The environment is always laid back and clean, Service friendly and the food is always killer top notch. My wife and I will be moving this summer and this is the only local haunt well truly miss. Our waitress Amy and the manager Cheryl were very professional, very attentive, they got our five orders right the first time, prompt service and the food was fantastic. Our company from Florida was impressed with their GF selection. This was our first time there, and we look forward to returning!

I had just moved to the area in june and saw this restaurant in my travels back and forth to work...finally tried it out with my friends and it was great atmosphere. Great workers and didnt take to to long to get our food..waitress. Was always making sure we were satisfied. ..def will go back....

Service was extremely slow the last two times I have been here. The food was alright, however, this last time we went my salad had moldy fruit in it. I was not charged for the salad as a consolation. Needless to say, we will not be returning and will not recommend this establishment.

Great menu... variety of salads, appetizers, nachos, sliders, meatloaf, BBQ, sandwiches, burgers, steak tips, fish, chicken, etc. Free cornbread for the table. Family and date friendly. Good parking. Been there dozens of times and have never been disappointed! Highly recommended!

Great variety and all is well done. Its not your standard steak house fare, they have some unique dishes such as the Quinoa Salad. BBQ is good - Im from Texas and can vouch for it. In the summer time there is a terrace. The interior is comfortable, although a little too dark.

Have been a few times and food was satisfactory but on the last visit the ribs were dry dry dry. I was even surprised how quickly the meal came out to the table this time. The best things about my last visit there were the waitstaff, the cornbread, and the quinoa salad!

Would never eat here again after sitting in their outside seating area and a RAT.. Yes, a RAT came running right next to my table. Not to mention the food was disgusting and I could get better food at McDonalds. Needless to say we will not be returning!

If you want saucy, fall off the bone ribs, go elsewhere. If you want properly cooked ones, this is about as good as New England barbecue gets. Lots of variety in sides, including healthy options, and gluten free menu items.

Horrible experience, waitress was beyond rude. Ended up leaving before the food even came out. The setting is small and cramped as well, lighting is similar to that of a strip joint. Would not recomend this establishment

Bought takeout on Sunday and got 3 orders of dried out, leathery ribs. Asked for extra corn bread but only received one piece per person. Not happy with this, wont be going back.
