I have been frequenting flour bakeries for years. I remember when this location was the only one! I have never been disappointed with anything I have ordered. I particularly love their cookies, mini tarts and their specials are usually very tasty as well. The infamous sticky bun lives up to its name. I love their seltzers. The raspberry one is great. They do decent espresso drinks and have good coffee. They do get quite busy but everyone is very upbeat and moves the line along quickly. You may have to wait a while for sandwiches and prepared food but its clear they are working as fast as they can. Just avoid high traffic times but anticipate the wait. Seating is usually not a problem I have heard great things about their carrot cake and cannot wait to try it. I still am up in the air about my favorite Flour location. They all have different vibes. They are all great! Definitely should be a part of any Boston Trip

I used to love this place, however, customer service is going down hill! I came in today for a couple of treats for my husband on Valentines Day 2017. First the the girls working there had a conversation instead of helping me, there was no line, second when I went to pay for two slices of pies I handled my credit card it was returned to me on the counter top, third I had a couple of bags with me and the food was on the counter top without a bag for me to carry out! The worst part is that my pie for my husband was messed up prior to me leaving the store. I gave this store several chances since, my co-workers have had to call and complaint about hair being in our sandwiches weve ordered during lunchtime. Some may think this is not a big deal, but if Im paying South End prices I expect the South End treatment for two slices of pies that cost $12.00! Lesson learned!!!

You will have to wait in line but it is WORTH the wait. Have traveled to eat from NY to San Fran and this is the up there amongst the best bakeries in the Country. Hazelnut Cookie has real whole pieces of Hazelnut and their Chocolate Lola cookie with its coconut bits has the perfect mix of ingredients. Flours bread is THE BEST, could eat a whole loaf in one sitting. So moist and fresh so be careful to eat it on same day cause ingredients are clearly great quality cause bread does not last and goes hard in few days cause there are not preservatives. Sandwiches are a big hit too, with their Chicken and Brie and Lamb being my favs. Soups are hardy and do not contain filler "flour" that a lot of places use to thicken the soup, instead Flour uses main ingredients that heighten the taste and quality. A must stop if in the Boston Area.

For a bakery and cafe, Flour really goes above and beyond the expected. The baked goods themselves are incredible (especially the cookies which come in a variety of forms, including traditional and nontraditional options). The sandwiches though are unbelievable. The lamb sandwich with goat cheese and tomato jam is unreal as are all of the grilled sandwich options (Im very partial to the portobello sandwich and the grilled vegetable sandwich). For coffee and tea lovers, Flour also provides several options for you to choose from. If youre not in the mood for coffee or tea, they also make their own soda. Flour is really a cafe and bakery in top form.

Oh Flour. So tasty, so buttery, so pleasing to most of the senses. The staff is friendly and attractive. The baked goods are worthy of me cycling over from 15-20 minutes away. The coffee is always hot, fresh n tasty. However, the entry and standing-in-line aspects are terrible. This seems to be the case at each Flour location and the result is a bottle neck at the entrance. I have opted not to enter many a Flour location when I arrive and experience such a bottle neck situation. I have also seen others walk away and get a snack elsewhere. Please address and restructure your entries Flour...we all want to come in an enjoy your baked treats & coffee!

5 stars for the products and 1 star for the service = 3 stars Sunday afternoon - not a busy time. Unfortunately my order was completely messed up; I asked to eat and drink at their tables and was provided with to-go containers and cups. I asked for a specific type of cake and was given a completely different product - its a good thing that I do not have food allergies! Definitely not a place for caring and nice service. Too bad because their food is really good. My advice: please, pick a different Flour venue. Advice to the store manager: please, change the type of coffee roast you use for your espresso: it is bitter and burned.

For my birthday last week, I went here to get some last minute pastries. I got there at around 7:30AM, and there were lots of things already gone, and it was pretty disappointing, but the stuff that I did get, they were all wonderful! My only complaint is that, I had asked for 7 sugar brioche buns and 7 creme brulees. While someone was wrapping up my order, the cashier rang me up, so I paid for 7 of each, but it was only when I got home, that I realized I only had 6 buns. Nevertheless, my friends definitely enjoyed all the food. :) Also, the store seemed a little overcrowded.

Lots of people talk about the sticky buns, but I think the almond croissants are where its at. Flour is clean, quick, and friendly, and delicious. Definitely many steps up from Au Bon Pain or other chain cafes you might know. If you bring you own mug you can get coffee for $1!!! what a great way to encourage people to avoid paper cups! They also offer metal silverware and real dishes for those eating in. Also, you can bring your own container if you are getting something to go. Other things that are delicious - blueberry muffins, breakfast sandwich.

Didnt get to meet Joanne Chang but it was still a pretty sweet experience nonetheless. The sticky buns are popular with customers--I found it excessively sweet, a bit like a doughnut, but it was still enjoyable. I preferred their fancy pop tarts and mint oreos. I personally liked the ambience indoors and that they also had some outdoor seating. Wait time was practically nonexistent so props for that. Flour Bakery also had a deli menu which I did not get to try, but would, should I make another visit in the future.

A Sunday morning tradition. Every time I have visitors, I HAVE to go on a walk to the South End and start the weekend day with a Flour pastry. The sticky buns are phenomenal (no wonder she beat Bobby Flay in the Show Down). I tend to go for the low fat dried fruit scone - its absolutely delicious with bits of ginger to accompany the other dried fruit. The cookies are all amazing, especially the double chocolate one. Ive heard the sandwiches are incredible, but I have a hard time deviating from the baked goods!

Great Coffee!! Love the lemon ginger scone!! This Flower location is really small and sometimes mothers love to bring their children here in their gargantuan strollers. I love the coffee and bakery items but 90% of the time id like to just get in and out in relatively short period of time as i am in a hurry to get to work. Come August and September this is virtually impossible as they are busy programming a whole new group of Androids to take your orders for gluten free muffin tops and dark roast coffees.
