We have been repeat offenders at The Draft since moving to Allston a year ago. It is the perfect local haunt for us because its within walking distance from our house and because of its affordable daily specials. I am usually lured in because of their 35 cent wing special on Sunday and Monday (especially during football season) and Downeast Cider on draft! Its a beautiful combination of spicy buffalo wings and unfiltered cider heaven. Be sure to try their Cooperstown sauce which is hard to describe but trust me that it is a tangy treat. I like to ask them to cook the wings a little longer since I like them a little more well done then they are usually dished up there. Your wings wont come with celery/carrots and ranch/blue cheese is extra, but I remedy that by ordering either a caesar salad or cobb salad, both of which are delicious. Tuesday you can get a draft beer/cider and a burger and fries for $6 and Thursday they have $1 sliders-- your usual burger variety, pulled pork, hot dog, and reubens to name a couple. One of my favorite things about The Draft is that they play music during commercials during football season... its such a simple thing to do, but its really appreciated when you are out and dont want to hear all about Charmin Ultra Soft. Check out their patio out back during the good weather! They have tables, a bar, some cushioned lounge areas, and a fire pit for when it gets chilly at night. The Draft is a gem. Enjoy!

HORRIBLE! I went here last night for the first time; the environment and the crowd is nice, but the staff is horribly rude! We ordered an appetizer and after not seeing our server for 20 minutes, I went to the bar to pay for our drinks and cancel the appetizer. I stand at the register for three minutes until someone finally acknowledges me. When I mention the appetizer, he points to a cold plate of food sitting on the bar. "This is yours" - I guess at the Draft, you have to know when your food is ready, pick it up at the bar, and eat without silverware or plates!!!!! So I pick up my food and tell the server to get my check. He can tell Im angry. He comes back and says "It wasnt that long. The appetizer only took 22 minutes..." and walked away. RUDE! Please do not patronize this establishment. With RUDE staff like this, I cannot imagine them being in business much longer.

Worst service EVER. Not only was the service itself slow and lackluster, the wait staff was actually rude. Ive honestly never heard a waiter make actually rude and offensive comments in my life, yet this guy made at least five completely inappropriate and offensive remarks to us. The food was okay, but not good, and they were "out" of three of the five things we tried to order, including the only dessert they have on the menu, which is cookies. How that happens? I dont know. Absolutely dont go here, unless you just want a cheap light beer on your way home in a bar next to the freeway atmosphere.

This is a difficult review. I like hanging out here. The atmosphere and food are great. Its the staff that always deters me from coming more often. Usually the same group of girls that look miserable being here and are not attentive to customers. The giant men arent helpful either. Ive waited 30 mins in an empty bar to get recognized in order to close out. Aside from that, .35 wings on Sundays & Mondays is an awesome deal.

Oh, the Draft...I have such a love-hate relationship with you. On the one hand, your Tuesday burger-and-almost-any-beer-for-6-dollars deal was the stuff of legends, and fed me and my friends every week for months. On the other hand, your service (composed almost entirely of giant men) is always terrible, and the clientele inevitably becomes trashier as the night goes on. But also, you have pool. ?!?

The draft is your typical neighborhood bar. During the summer the open patio on the back is a great place to relax - but often fills up so get there on the earlier side. The service is okay, not great, but nothing that would stop me from going back again. They have one pool table if you are looking to play some pool as well.

Dont bother! On a freezing cold quiet night when only 20-25 people in the bar, denied entry on Australian drivers licenses (accepted by police officers across the country) Poor experience by the doorman about international travellers. Many other good bars nearby.

The bar is similar to most bars in Boston with regard to atmosphere and scene but what makes this spot better than many is the large outdoor patio out back with many tables and chairs and a bar. A good summertime bar.

So this is a tricky review. The staff get five stars for sure. They are some truly hard working individuals. However, the crowd that goes there now leave much to be desired. Definitely a one star group of people.

Bar shuffleboard, quite good bar food, and not overpriced. Sports are always on and they have a patio with cornhole. What more can you ask for out of your bar?
