I have been in Washington metropolitan and baltimore area for almost 25 yrs, I have seen lots of restaurants opining and closing. We went there yesterday, and we will never return again. First of all food is ridiculous,taste less and expensive and then very nasty and rude management. My kids were standing near serving area and they were not even touching the food, the guy named Tayyab came and yelled at my 6 year old daughter, telling her not to put her finger in the food. Then she started crying, I asked her if she touching the food with her finger,my daughter denied, my kids dont lie, I was trying to calm my daughter down, the guy tayyab came back to argue with me, when I questioned him and told him to be polite with kids, he told me to leave the place. We went to that place to have some good time, not to get insulted. We did not even finish our food and we had to leave. I will get in touch with my bank for refund. (This was yesterdays incident ) We went to that place about a month ago, there was some party going on and it was busy, we asked the girl with glasses at front if she could help us, she did not pay any attention to us, she was busy eating sweets which was sitting at front counter uncovered, grabbing it with her hands ( She was touching it with her hands ) and flirting with a guy. Restaurant employ ( The skinny girl with glasses ) can touch food with her hands and no one says nothing to her, But my 6 rear old shy daughter who wasnt even touching food got yelled. I will never ever go there again and I do not recommend that place to any one. I civilized world usually problems like this can be avoided by saying, I am sorry, I didnt mean to do that. Please tell me what I can do to make you happy and earn your business in future. Unfortunately Mr Tayyab dont know this.

I never ever go this resturand again this is a very bad expriences for my life so dirty resturand and i saw this bigggg mouse in restroom i talk to the owner of lala qila and she pretend she dont care and she say tht i just came to work i did not know. My question is why she did not know she is the houner of this resturand and she didnot know about the cleaning and food how come? Very bad customer service and charges is really bad tooo they tell us on this phone is different and when we go to the resturand is different i dont waant to give a tip bec of the dirtness and the customer servies but they charge for us 21 $ without inform me it is so wired i dont like it. its wast of my money. Plz dont go thos resturand.

It was my mothers birthday and we took her all the way from Virginia to Maryland just to try this restaurant by the time we got there we had to wait 10 to 15 minutes for the hostess to come and places to the table the food was nasty it was cold and the taste was not pleasant either even though we have notified the restaurant hostess that the food is cold and it should be taken care of that instead of that he civil will try our best and nothing was done we left with this hardon feeling and bitter taste in our mouth it was the worst birthday my mom ever had

we went there for dinner on saturday and its on the wall dinner is 13.49+tax . when we finished dinner and about to pay our bill ,the owner said its 180 ,i explain him how come 180 then he is asking me question did you guys take soda we said no ,and at the end of conversation he said i charge you guys 17 $ at party rate .i will take that matter to better bureau.and advise people if they can go there first ask him about the rate.the women is working on reception ,very rude , she dont know how to talk the customers .

My family use to go here alot. This place use to be good around 2012 and 2013. They use to have cake and many other desserts and foods. But now it sucks and they took out the chicken on a stick, the skill crane, and now the ice cream. And now they barely change the batches. And the food is dried and the chicken tikka and kabob is uncooked. Also the bathrooms are dirty and need to be cleaned. And the price is too high. Absolutly dissapointed and horrible place to dine in. WOW!

It was an impromptu decision to eat at this restaurant and I am certainly happy that I dined here. There is a bevy of great tasting food and I normally do not like going back for second plate but it was irresistible. The restaurant has plenty of seating so you can bring the whole family and a few extras, especially when each person may have a taste for something different that night. The owners greeted our table and the staff was kind. Nice atmosphere and food!

This place is amazing for a casual Dinner or a huge event! I had my high school graduation and it was a blast! I will definitely have my college graduation here too as well as my nieces first birthday! And the food is honestly so delicious! Im very picky about my food but this place has never failed to exceed my expectations! I love the food here as well as the ambiance of the place! Definitely coming here again and again and again!

This place was good when it first started but now the quality is getting worse and worse. The food variety is also reduced. The price to dine in is going up 80 bucks for 4 people OUCH. The staff are so bad they dont even wash their hands after using the restroom. DISGUSTING. in other words dont dine here even tho its halal there are other better restaurants that you can go. I hope this place shuts down because its a total crap.

Lal Qila has an exquisite selection of delicious food, ranging from Pakistani to Indian to Chinese. My wife and I really enjoyed how delicious and fresh everything was too. The restaurant is now under new management and the owners have really put in a lot of work to improve it. I certainly recommend it to anyone who is looking for some good, fresh, home-cooked food in a very relaxed and friendly environment.

It was the worst experience at Lal Qila. We were attending an iftar gathering but when time came for opening fast and eating, there was no food available for the number of diners they had allowed in! This establishment should be closed as over the years they have not made any improvements. Totally inorganized and I recommend dont go there or waste money or time. It was appalling.

Very bad management. The place has a variety of food and a lot of space,but no taste or respect for customers. I believe they should just shutdown that so called restaurant. Tabeer restaurant is so much better, good customer service, tasteful food, fresh hot food. The food at tabeer just shake my taste buds. Its that wonderful. Lal Qila is just a uncomfortable place to go.

Yesterday we was invite in party they serve old and cold food there was no taste poor service and i dont kno how many days old food they serve my wife from last night she has dierria and I was upset all night this morning I am vomting look like food poison to me in my suggedtion Pls dont eat in lalqilla i will also write to ministry of health to check there food
