My wife and I came in looking for a bite to eat. We arent wine aficionados, so other than saying the wine menu looked extensive, we cant speak to that side of things. That said, the food was awesome. We split some fish tacos (very good, not the best, but very good), a trio of artichoke, stuffed grape leaves and feta (awesome) and a crab mac and cheese (incredible). They did not remotely skimp on the crab meat; it was full of chunky lump crab. We also split a pot of french press and a smores lava cake. The lava cake comes with marshmellows, lightly crispy on the outside, and gooey inside. Service was perfect: Prompt and friendly without being overbearing. Well be coming back, for sure.

A great place with a nice atmosphere. Food was really good. We had a bunch of small plates. We had the rockfish tacos, steak tacos, shrimp scampi and meatball sliders. It is very obvious they have passionate Chef in the kitchen. We had the landmark pinot noir half bottle. Everything was awesome and the service was equally fantastic. Plus the location in historic Ellicott City was great for an evening walk to window shop at all the antique stores. I look forward to returning and seeing the reconstruction of main street ellicott city.

Pure Wine is my lovely little spot on Main Street EC. If Im on a romantic date, friend date, or date with myself it is the place for some QT time. Delectable small plates will hold your appetite at bay as you taste your way through the wine offerings. Be warned- Pure Wine is limited in its spirits, but you shouldnt be there for anything but the wine. I dont know enough to know if the selection is largebut the staff is knowledgeable and patient. I hear theyve recently expanded so swing on by and check it out!

The wine is excellent (always seems to taste better here then out of the bottle for some reason - maybe aeration?) and the staff is very knowledgeable. The space is cozy, and the outdoor seating area is beautiful when the weather is nice. Tapas are always fresh and delicious. I strongly recommend PWC; its easily the best restaurant in Old Ellicott City.

Im scared to let people know how good this place is because I dont want it to be overcrowded, but it is amazing. The steak tacos are ridiculously good and I have never had a meal there I didnt like. That being said, stick with the smaller plates because the "meals" are small anyway and cost a lot more. Awesome wine list and helpful bartenders and staff.

Simply the best! Service is off the charts. Always willing to discuss a wine or make a suggestion (even when theyre very busy). Always happy to give them my money. Diverse, very-good food menu for a "wine spot." So much more than a sipping spot. Highly suggest.

This place has no right being this good. My wife and I were trying not make a scene with our reactions to each plate. Service was equally awesome. Easily one of the best small plate restaurants in the region--all from an unassuming lil wine bar.

Delightful place. My favorite is the medley of mushrooms and the cucumber dill soup. What great flavors! I usually just ask them what wine they recommend and the recommendations have always been perfect.
