Played it this morning. Theres been a decent amount of rain lately so I figured it would be in pretty good shape...and it was. First time playing this course and I loved it. I really liked the scenery coming in to the 18th green. The old buildings adds so much character to the course. As for the course.... I kept hearing from people how great of a course this is and it was a site for U.S. Open qualifier so I figured Id make the 30 minutes drive. It didnt disappoint at all. This can be a tough course especially on a windy day. Being my first time playing I didnt know the layout but its pretty self explanatory once you stand on the tee boxes. This course offers some amazing views and does require a little skill to play. Most fairways are narrow (I like that though...) and have to be precise off the tee. If you hit the fairway, youre sitting on some nice grass thats easy to hit off. The rough was recently cut so it wasnt too bad to hit out of, however if they let it grow out a little, it could become tricky. The greens rolled great and for the most part, it looks like people that play there actually fix their ball marks. The bunkers were all pretty easy to hit out of, however there were some that people "forgot" to rake. Overall Id say Id recommend this course to anyone. It fits my game for the most part. Some holes you can grip it and rip it and some you have to play it safe and have a little longer 2nd shot into the green. Pace of play was pretty good although I was put with a couple guys, one which never played before but I was in a relaxed mood and decided to give them a few pointers on the front nine, since thats all they were playing. Once I hit the back nine I ran into a 3 some and they were kind enough to wait for me to finish on the green and pass them on the upcoming par 4. Didnt really talk to much staff. I was greeted by a cart boy and he took my bag and tossed them on the cart for me. The starter had me wait for the 2 guys I played with so I hit some range balls. Range is ok if youre practicing a full pitching wedge, about a 7 iron and 3 iron on up. They only had 3 targets (greens), so you cant really practice the 90yds and in unless you head to the chipping area where you get maybe 30 yds or so to practice, along with a bunker. Great scenery, loved what I call "the compound" (the area where the old buildings are, putting green and driving range). Next time I go, Ill be bringing my camera with me to snap some shots lol

One of the best courses in Maryland, absolutely gorgeous with beautiful scenery and elevation changes. The view from the 5th green is breathtaking. The course is challenging, but fair. The tees and fairways are always in fantastic condition. The greens are fast, run pure, and roll beautifully. We play mostly late in the afternoon, not many unrepaired ball marks. Excellent Staff! Everybody in the club house is extremely friendly and personable. They are great with junior golfers. Golf lessons for juniors are offered at a very reasonable price. For all the staff, thank you for making Worthington Manor such a welcoming place!

Good layout, quite challenging from the tips; even the blues are decent length. Played 15+ times over past 3-4 years and never had a bad experience. Course conditions have always been very good. Pace of play good with 10 minutes between tee times (vs. 8 or 9 minutes at some courses) . Staff very friendly.

Played there on Friday May 8, 2016 and had my first hole in one on par 3 6th. The staff couldnt have been nicer! They printed a picture of the hole for me to memorialize the moment. Despite the 40 degrees and 20 mph winds, enjoyed the course and look forward to playing again when Im back in DC area.

Best course near 100 miles radius from D.C. Grass range is always open unless it rained a lot(free), Virginia courses does not provide free range balls for sure. Very undulated course, the green conditions are always superb. If you want some challenges, come and play worthington manor.

Awesome course. Very challenging and rewarding layout with beautiful vistas of and from rolling hills. Conditions were maintained well, however greens often roll untrue. Staff friendly and helpful. Clubhouse is sufficient for what you need.

Great course: long, challenging with lots of elevation changes. Watch out for #3 & 12. The rough was cut rather high. Decent club house.
