I wish Id come here during dinner rather than dim sum. As we waited to be seated, I was pretty impressed reading the list of specials; I like any place that has specials written only in the native language of the proprietors. They had plenty translated, but they just gave up for the last couple. Some things just dont translate well. The restaurant wasnt full, so the wait was negligible. We came here on a recommendation, so I had high hopes. I tried most of the dim sum regulars: shumai, rice crepes with shrimp, chow fun, spring rolls, and steamed sticky rice in lotus leaves. They were all okay, but the shumai was too fishy (amazing for a pork-centric parcel), and the spring rolls must have had a long time to sweat on its dish because it was wrinkled on the bottom despite being incredibly oily. The best of my choices were the crepes and the sticky rice. I looked for special offerings, but nothing spoke. I think if Id had space, I would have tried something from the congee cart, but that came too late for me. I think Ill stick to Virginia for dim sum offerings, but would consider coming for dinner to see if its any different then. Having said all this, the staff was nice, and the tea was hot. Both very good things.

My neighborhood Chinese food court basically. Offer late night cooking until 2am(would close a bit earlier if nobody is around) you just cant beat this hour. They cook decent authentic Cantonese style Chinese food, wide range of selection. Pan fried, stir fried noodles, Noodle soup, fried rices, rice dishes or many other entree. Specialty congee and cross-bridge noodle soup. Service is great too. Must have: Cantonese grilled meat. For the value, try the triple topping roast with rice for $8.95. I usually get roast pork, soy sauce chicken and roast duck. Ask for extra sauce for the meat or ginger scalion sauce if you like them.

Fantastic dim sum experience. Plentiful carts rolling through from start through finish, with eager servers ready to explain and offer you a dish. Amazing pineapple buns, plenty of steamed and baked bun options, every thing tasted very hot and very fresh. There were lots of other options I havent seen at other restaurants. The owner is the former proprietor behind DCs Eat First, which was unreal when it was open. Service was quick and the dining room turns over quickly so theres never a wait. Come, eat and enjoy some of the most authentic Hong Kong/Cantonese dim sum in the area.

Nothing, everything tasted the same like sour rice vinegar. Awful. Soup.entrees both. I realize this is not New York or Boston but really one recipe for all. Will not order again. Not only did it taste like sour rice vinegar but it was cheap rice vinegar, and there was no taste or flavor to the food. I have never had Chinese food that tasted this way and I have eaten a lot of this cuisine save your money and go someplace else unless you have no idea what real Chinese food taste like

Love coming here for their late night special. For $20.95 from 10 pm - 2 AM you get 3 entrees and a soup. Plenty of food for a couple. I always get their shrimp with walnuts, pickled cabbage w/ pig intestines and the fried pork. There is plenty of street parking. Service is very quick. This is my go to spot if Im craving some good Cantonese food. Every where else in Wheaton has a tad bit more MSG with longer wait times. They have table party sizes that fit as many as 14 people.

Not good at all, everything tastes exactly the same. Service was not good, servers took things off of our tables and let water drip on my dads plate, its Fathers Day today by the way. Servers never said "excuse me", instead said something in the lines of "hand me that paper" to reach. I gave this place the benefit of the doubt because the location isnt that great so I went in pretty skeptical and was proven right. Gave it a try, didnt like it. Not satisfied at all.

Great food, good prices. Selection ranges from Americanized favorites like general tso and orange chicken to traditional dishes like tripe and chickens feet. The drinks here are my wife and my little secret. They are huge and incredibly strong! Try the suffering bastard or scorpion for one or a volcano with the flaming center for two. Also the Peking duck is pretty good.

Wong Gee is probably my favorite place for a Chinese dinner in the DC area. My favorite is the 4-person set meal ($78), which includes (among other things) beef and cilantro soup (refreshing and warming all at the same time), lobster, and steamed chicken. The service is always great, the food is delicious, and the bathrooms are clean ... a winning combination!

For dim sum, this is the real deal complete with pushcarts on weekends; dim sum can also be ordered late night. Good selection of hanging BBQ char shiu and duck. Very nice staff unlike some other dim sum places in MD/VA (Looking at you mean O East!)

I was excited to get dim sum here. I came here on a Saturday 25 @ 4pm.First dim sum had raw shrimps, next raw pork and a death fly on my porn bun to top it off. Very disappointed. I guess I came in the wrong time. My first negative review.

Authentic Cantonese food. Quick, delicious, generous portion and cheap! Both the lamb stew with tofu skin and sauteed empty heart greens were very good and more than enough to fill 2 hungry mens stomachs.

Love the authentic Chinese food served at this Chinese restaurant that opens as late as 1 AM and also serves dim-sum on weekends. The restaurant can use a little renovation though but is not a big deal.
