This is a great little hole-in-the-wall restaurant! Both the food and the service were fantastic. Like a previous comment says, dont be fooled by the looks of the place. The food is great-- nothing too fancy, just good, well-served cheesesteak. I had the onion rings and mozzarella sticks as well. Id highly recommend the onion rings. The mozzarella sticks were good too but nothing special. Our server said they deliver for lunch as well. Looks like they have a great happy hour as well (4-7pm I believe Mon-Fri) with a few domestic beers for about $2.50 and discounts on already low-priced food. Check them out on Scoutmob!

As the other reviewers stated, dont be fooled by the looks of the this place. I went here with my boy, who is from Philly, and we ordered Philly Cheesteak - Xtra meat - Xtra cheese - Xtra fried onions (we call it the Triple X); and had them cut the meat up with the cheese and onions while they cooked it. If you ask for your cheesesteak this way you will NOT be dissapointed. My boy said that this was the BEST cheesteak that he had every gotten outside of Philly! Every bite evoked both happiness and sadness, happy because it was so delicious, and sad because I was getting one bite closer to finishing it.

Been coming here ever since my dad showed this little gem about 24 years ago. I love cheesesteaks. And for a long time it was just the best. They also used to have the best onion rings too. This place has been changing hands alot. So its always hit or miss in terms of what they change or try to change. Sadly, onion rings are no longer beer battered. But the cheese steak is stil) delicious! Also love the dive bar! Good prices, regulars and great friendly waitresses.

Just ate my cheesesteak like not even 10 mins ago, that food was so great, the fries were bangin, the cheesesteak is on par with my one and only other favorite spot to get cheesesteaks in the DMV and that would be Howard China, Cheesesteak Mikes is a must have for cheesesteaks after eating one of them for the first time tonight. Tasted so great i might go back before they close tonight.

Best cheesesteak in the area with a whizz option (I recommend provolone). Fries are boardwalk so not "special" but they have a good gravy option. Everyone is super friendly in the pub which has bud, Stella, and goose at a great price. Great place that is not often found in Montgomery County.

Yeah, you are not going to get haute cuisine but ggod food and cheap cold beer. Not much to look at but the folk are plenty friendly and there is a certain comfort level. Lots of good items on the menu but really you are there for the cheesesteaks.
