1. I tried to make an Open Table reservation and they were listed as Unavailable for all dates. (This appears to have been resolved) I called the number on their website to make a reservation for brunch for 6 people and played phone tag and set up the reservation via a series of voicemails back and forth because they dont answer the phone. 2. Upon arriving at our reservation at 11:30 am, 3 of our party of 6 were late. They told us their policy was to not seat the party until MORE than half of the party had arrived. When we all arrived, they sat us at the first table that had clearly been reserved and set for a party of 6, that 3 of us had been staring at for 20 minutes. When we all got seated at 11:50am, the rude hostess informed us that our "2 hour time limit" for brunch had started at the time of our reservation, and we would be asked to leave at 1:30, regardless of the time our food was served. This time limit could have been mentioned by the manager I booked the reservation with, or mentioned to the 3 guests that were waiting for the rest of our party to arrive. 3. The food is awful. Of the variety of entrees ordered, the pancakes were burnt (no, not delightfully browned, black and crusty burnt) and werent served with syrup, the sausage was overcooked and tough, eggs cooked hard were almost unrecognizable as eggs at all. Thank god the champagne bottles were only $1 to choke everything down. 4. The "two hour time limit" was not enforced, nor should it be when only 2 other tables came in on a holiday weekend; they are clearly hurting for brunch business. Since we had 6 entrees, and therefore got 6 bottles of champagne, our 6th bottle was not served until almost 2pm, so this policy is not enforceable for larger parties who drink at a reasonable pace. 5. I do not want this review to reflect poorly on our server, who was also the daytime bartender. He was knowledgeable, funny, and very pleasant. He and the cheap champagne are the only saving graces of this place.

FIVE STARS! LOVED IT!!! We were visiting with some friends who live in Alexandria and they told us that Sunday brunch in DC is a good plan to make. We searched thru lots of restaurants and this place sounded interesting so we decided to check it out. We arrived and there were a few tables available in the shade and we chose one of them. 3 of the 4 of us ordered the Eggs Alaska which is eggs benedict but with a crab cake for the meat, and some Old Bay seasoning sprinkled in the Hollandaise sauce. Talk about an AWSOME dish!!! The three of us were blown away by how tasty our food was. Also, my wife got an omelette with black beans, mushrooms, and onions and she was a happy camper as well. So now that we have covered the awsome food, on to the drinks. The special they had was spend $10 for an entree and you get a $1 bottle of Champagne, then the carafe of OJ is $5. We ran thru two bottles of champagne and 3 carafes of OJ. There was a group of girls that arrived for a birthday party while we were there and they started doing shots and the wait staff there were passing out shots and we got in on the fun. Then came the bill and they only charged us for 1 bottle and 1 OJ. WHAT????? We were stoked. For sure, I would recommend this place. The food was great, service was great, price was great. I forgot to mention that we had a 5th friend join us and in the end, our bill for 5 for brunch was around $80. Next time Im in DC for a weekend, count me in at this spot

Breaking out the Irish Pub Criteria. GO! Beer - They got it Whiskey - They got it (lots) Food - They got it, and its surprisingly good for an Irish Pub. Honestly, the wings are good, the steak is good, the shep pie is good. I havent had a bad meal here yet! Price - Its DC and you can expect to pay a little more for being downtown in the Golden Triangle. Atmosphere - Rustic, bricks, tables...generic but it feels like an upscale Irish Pub if you were in Ireland...and those dont really exist in Ireland hehe So, you can have a great time here. I mean that. The basement bar is where we usually hang, but its always a good crowd, never too packed (except when it is), and enough room for you and your friends to get a few drinks and some meals.

Amazing. I held an event here (a masquerade ball) in the Dublin room upstairs. I was a little scared of this little pub - would it be the best location for this? I was so overwhelmed in DC on where to have the event, and this was the absolute BEST choice. The room was PERFECT (50-70 people) with private bar. The staff let me and helped me decorate all I wanted. The bartender was AMAZING (HEY ANDRES!). And Liz and Jayne who help coordinate events went out of their way to make this a special evening, including playing into the surprise with the guest of honor, making signs, and being so accommodating. They made some special things on the catering menu for us - and the food was all soooo good! Everyone loved it there. I highly recommend.

The food was tasty. We enjoyed the cordon blue poppers, crab & artichoke dip, truffle mac & cheese, and a beet salad. The mac & cheese was awesome, though its very rich. It was great to share, but it would be difficult to eat solo. The salad was pretty standard, but it rounded out our shared snacks very nicely. We went in for happy hour but ended up ordering a bottle of wine for the half priced night on Thursdays. The food and atmosphere were great. The service...blah. We had to wait excessively long to be noticed and then were forgotten repeatedly. It was a busy night, so perhaps thats not the norm. Slow service is almost standard for DC, and its not worth getting fussed about. Ill definitely be going back, so well see.

Wow. Such a disappointment. The location is great and their drink menu amazing (tons of great ciders, beers, and of course, whiskey). What was not great was the food and the service. if either of these were decent, their drink menu would still make up for it. However, the service was HORRIBLE. They were so slow, rarely checked in on us, and got everyones order wrong....TWICE! After all of that, the food was just horrible. The burger barely a burger and the kalamari was sooooooooo bad. Be warned: Only go here for drinks...nothing else.

I come here for the steak and fries. And the beer. And the whiskey. And the bartenders. But really, the steak and fries is a great value for a downtown, nicer looking bar. The steak is very large, not one of those dinky 6oz cuts you get elsewhere in this city for a lot more money. On top of this, the beer selection is a good mix of domestic craft and Irish standards, the whiskey collection is excellent (better be when you call yourself Irish Whiskey), and the bartenders are knowledgeable and super friendly, even on crowded nights.

A decent experience. Went with a groupon for whiskey tastings. Got the Jameson Flight which was interesting. Want to back and try some of the other flights next time I win the lottery and can afford it. Food was ok - sauce was a little rich and my checken was a little dry Wed go again for the whiskey next time a whiskey friend comes to town - probably try one of the great restaurants nearby for food. This seems to be standard with Irish themed restaurants attempting to be upscale-great alcohol but try too hard on the food.
