Ive been frequenting Fiesta Mexicana for a few years now and I need to add one more 5 star review because the truly great restaurants need to be noticed. I cant emphasize enough these two descriptions: delicious and authentic. Take for instance, his salsa. He makes it from scratch and it redefined what salsa could be for me. I buy large containers of this salsa to have at home. Its a green tomatillo based salsa with a giant infusion of jalapeno. I could write poetry about this stuff... His Pambazo sandwich. One of the most original delicious sandwiches I think in the entire Baltimore area. It should have been featured in Adam Richmans show. It starts with great bread dunked in his mole, filled with chorizo and potato, queso fresco, so delicious that uncontrollable profanity might slip from your mouth in between bites. What brings me back every Friday night though, is his Cecina Plato, the carne ASADA! My wife and I literally turn into excited school kids as the familiar aromas make their way out of the boxes. It is so simple, yet mind boggling delicious! Some of the best cured flank steak, grilled on the flat iron with fresh onions and jalepenos (ask for it to be spicy and you get the jalepenos). You take this steak and lay it into one of the freshly made tortillas with a slather of that fantastic salsa. Layer in some of the lettuce, avocado, queso fresco, and a spritz of the fresh lime... No hyperbole here, its one of my greatest food experiences. It doesnt get any more delicious, period. There are many more items here for you to discover and write about. Fiesta Mexicana is a gem that communities cherish. The owner and his staff are some of the nicest people out there. I cant wait for all of their hard work to materialize in his new restaurant that I know will bring him more well deserved success.

The food here is amazing. Easily the best Mexican food in the state of Maryland, at least that Ive ever had, although it is a bit different from what youd find at a traditional Mexican restaurant. The owner Federico is very friendly and will happily give you recommendations. Everything they make is delicious, but heres a secret: the best thing on the menu, in my opinion, is the Choriqueso. This simple mix of cheese and sausage is just amazing. For a more traditional dish, try the Flautas, which have meat rolled in a crispy tortilla, topped with crema, queso, and lettuce. The portions are perfect, not too much, but Im always stuffed when Im done. The prices are great, but I always end up spending quite a bit because I order extra to take home. They make an awesome, spicy salsa, of which Federico will gladly give extra, and the most delicious guacamole Ive ever tasted. And I dont even like guacamole. I cant possibly understand why anyone would write a negative review of this place. If you dont like this, then you dont like Mexican food. Its that simple. It doesnt get better than this.

Turn on the ventilation! We stopped in for a quick lunch which lasted for only about 45 minutes.. but we (and everything we came in contact with) smelled like grease balls for the rest of the day. Was the food at least worth the aftermath reek? Not really. My dad and I shared the sampler platter - 2 chicken enchiladas in mole sauce, 1 spicy chicken quesadilla, 1 chorizo sope, 1 carnita taco, 1 chicken flaunta - only the spicy chicken quesadilla stood out. It was different than any quesadilla Id tried - deep fried and made with much thicker tortilla. In fact, its shape and texture reminded me more of a Jamaican meat patty. If only we hard stuck to just ordering these... All of the other items were simply A-okay and nothing to write home about. The owner was REALLY friendly - to a point I thought was a little bit too in my face. I also thought the price was a bit steep for a hole in the wall (think of NYC price). Nevertheless, glad that they offered a sampler menu and been able to share an authentic Mexican lunch with my dad.

As I write this, I am sitting in a state of emotional bliss. I just finished dinner at Fiesta Mexicana, which literally means "Mexican party", so you know its good. Walking up to the front door, the amazing aroma greeted us, only to be matched by the friendly faces inside. We felt like we were adopted into a wonderful Mexican family. We ordered the largest platter, which includes tostadas, tacos, flautas, quesadillas, sopa, and enchiladas. We made the right choice. It was incredible. Everything came out very hot and quickly. If you have to pick one I would try the tostadas. And the enchilada. Well... and the flautas. Okay... you should order everything. Your body will miraculously find a way to fit it all in. The price is really reasonable. Just remember to bring a few dollars cash to tip, since you cant put it on your card. This place will be a new tradition. Viva la Mexican Party.

You wont find better tasting, authentic Mexican food ANYWHERE else in Baltimore! Trust me, Ive tried hundreds of "authentic" Mexican restaurants! Heck, even in my travels to Texas & Florida I havent found better. My ex is Mexican- yeah many years of homemade Mexican food! Federico, the owner, is the best! Ever so welcoming, grateful for the opportunity to serve you, HIS customer, and makes every dish with the same love and passion as the dishes preceding it! He takes pride in sharing the true, clean, fresh flavors of Mexico that he grew up loving, and not something compromised to fit American pallets for sales! This place is the real deal, folks! If youre so blessed to experience Federicos food at Fiesta Mexicana, youll never regret it! Otherwise, youre not looking for authentic Mexican! So when you go, tell him Lindi sent you!

Really good Mexico City style street food. Everything is authentic meaning it is very different than what you might find at Chevys or Don Pablos. The tacos come with cilantro, onion and salsa, and the owner offers a variety of dishes. The nice thing is the owner [and his wife] prepares much of the food himself, is super friendly and will freely offer you suggestions about what to order, so if you dont know much about this style of Mexican food the owner will help you out. The place is tiny, and it feels more like you are eating inside someones home, than in a traditional restaurant, which can be a good thing...just be cautioned that it is not fancy.

I love this place!!!! The food is fantastic! Every time I go I order the large sampler and split it with a friend. Its only $25.00 and you get several different foods. Each one is FULL of flavor and cooked to perfection. I have been here with friends, on dates, with family, and soon will go for carry out because I am hooked! The owner is knowledgable and makes you feel like youre a friend coming for dinner. Its quite small and we have had to wait for a table but it is worth it! The cilantro is plentiful and everything is delicious. Bring your own wine and bottle opener. You MUST try this place.

Ive eaten at Mexican restaurants in Texas, New Mexico, Colorado, and California, but none of those had anything over the food at Fiesta Mexicana. We started with the guac and chips. It was tangy creamy smooth green heaven on a chip. My wife had the chicken enchiladas, and loved the home made green salsa they come with. I had their wonderful tostadas that were as fresh as it gets. They dont serve alchohol, but we brought our own. The owner, Frederico, is very friendly and pays close attention to his customers.
