This was the worst breakfast dining experiences Ive ever had. Do not eat here. (I hate that I cant give a zero star rating.) Eggs were cold, other persons eggs were cold and wrong (scrambled instead of easy, then replaced with medium) crepe was over cooked and plated poorly, corned beef hash was the crummy from-a-can-kind, coffee was cold and not refilled, only one person was served water, potato pancakes were just mashed up frozen hash browns, buttermilk pancakes were leathery and cold, table was right next to the very loud kitchen (with a very loud ventilation fan) floor was dirty, table wasnt clean before we were brought to it, one member of our party ordered a pain bagel which was brought three minutes after everyone elses food. The last nail in the coffin is that it is easier to drive the George Washington bridge during rush hour than to get in or out of the parking lot. Redeeming qualities: staff was polite, bathroom was clean, wait was short for a party of four on a Saturday morning, food was brought quickly, (except for the bagel), menu had calorie counts, menu was extensive, prices were average.

The food was good, not going to lie. However, the waitress that had served us was not only in a rush to throw food on the table, but spilled apple juice all over me and threw a towel at me. It was as if she was telling me, "You clean it up." The wait for the food was a good 45 minutes. She had no look of embarrassment. We asked for a refill for the apple juice since it was spilled and she said, they didnt do refills. When I told her it was spilled all over my pants and hoodie, she spoke, "Oh, I didnt pay attention to it." I thought to myself how she didnt pay attention to a drink spilling when the waitress threw a towel at me to clean it up. In my opinion, it was simply an excuse and lack of service. Additionally, the noise pollution is too high. If the customer doesnt care about the service and noise and just the food, I recommend you come here. But if you like a place to eat with great service and more space, I suggest you find another place to eat.

I am a regular customer and visit this restaurant every weekend. Unfortunately as the number of my visits increases the satisfaction and love I once had for this restaurant’s food is decreasing. As the staff is well groomed and very prompt to the customers, the prices of the food have sky rocketed while the quality has been dwindling. As I was there this past weekend I always order what the menu refers to as fresh squeezed orange juice. Unfortunately on this particular day that was far from the truth. I was served bottled orange juice as I saw one of the staff carrying the store brought juice pass my table. I will not be returning to the The Original Pancake House due to its pricey false advertisement. It is unfortunate to say that I am very disappointed and am very saddened by the downfall of my once favorite breakfast house.

Staff was very friendly and accommodating, but as a whole it, the restaurant seemed very understaffed. It was a long wait from sitting down to ordering. The food was very good once we got it, bacon crispy, eggs cooked well. However, the pancakes were not to my personal taste, which was disappointing considering its a pancake house. Had to cover them in syrup and butter in order to eat them, so if thats how you like to eat your pancakes youll be fine! Additionally the beverages were not that good. The coffee was burnt and over-priced, almost $3. The juice also tasted watered down, but that could also be a just the brand they serve. All in all I would go again but I would not order coffee or pancakes, the other menu items were very good! Also it is all very well priced.

The biggest reason for the high rating of this Pancake House is the extensive menu and variety. It is really hard to choose what to eat as the pancake house really packs in quite a selection choice not only in pancakes but with all other breakfast foods. The food tastes good and the dishes come in hearty portions. Customer service is what can be improved. Seems that the waiters/waitresses are waiting on more tables that they can handle. Once food arrives, sometimes it take a long time for the waiter/waitress to check back in. Also, I have had incomplete orders-if I had ordered an additional side item, it was forgotten completely when the food was delivered. Plan your visit out-there is often a longer wait on weekends and it is VERY busy. Parking is a challenge as well.

It was my first time entering this restaurant and I thought it would be a good experience, however it wasnt. I ordered the Golden Waffle Combo and asked for a pecan Waffle instead of the original. When the Waffle arrived, there were two whole pieces and two partial pieces. It was as if something went wrong and they just threw it on the plate. I showed the waitress and asked that it could be corrected. So, the supposed correction resulted in a half of a Waffle. Instead of having someone make it again, i asked for it to be removed from my bill. This has not been a good experience and I would not recommend this place at this point. So disappointed as I brought my family from out of town to dine and the experience has left us all with a bad taste!

The biggest gripe I have about this place is the waitresses they treat you like dirt. Ive been to four other original pancake houses and this one is the one from hell. The other original pancake houses The Waitresses are always super friendly. Sometimes the quality of the food is not as good here either. So if Im ever thinking about going to The Original Pancake House Ill go to one of the other ones. I asked one of the waitresses for extra coffee and she says thats not my station youre going to have to find your waitresses. Then I told her that I was out of creamer and she says that is not my problem youre going to have to deal with it. How does a dump like this stay in business when they treat their customers so bad.

Stopping by to get a bite to eat with my family while waiting for our mother who was in surgery. Walked into the door to a very friendly hostess. Was seated and once the waitress realized that the owners friends were seated in her section we became a second thought. We were seated first, their food was received first. You get the point. Now, for the food the pancakes were lite, the, eggs fluffy, and the menu creative. The only negative would be the potatoes. Im a southern girl, I could have used a little more taste in the cubed potatoes. I would say you never know who your waiting on, and you could have had a life long loyal customer. Thanks for the lunch!

Walked in today, it was fill but not packed. O ordered a short stack with eggs and bacon and o.j. I was told it would be 10 mins. After 10 mins I ask about the status of my food. Guy said it would be just a little while longer. 20 more mins pass by and he said not yet. At this point in a little agitated. Finally 10 mins after my food comes out and i pay. My sister starts driving and 5 mins from the restaurant I open my food to find it cold. Eggs cold, pancakes cold and bacon was barely warm! Was it worth it? Maybe if it was hot. Maybe its better of you eat inside versus taking it to go. On a brighter note, o.j. and bacon was the best Ive had thus far.
