I actually went back in June, so I was surprised by some of the comments about the greasiness and saltiness of the food as well as lack of desert. Maybe I had come at one of the better days but compared to all the buffets that I have gone to before this one was actually the best one. The food is perfectly seasoned and cooked, just basically melt in your mouth for some of the dish even. Compared to the previous establishment Tysons Buffet, the amount of oil and salt used were significantly reduced, making it easier for me to stuff myself even more. Which was what I did. And the desert bar, I love that desert bar, has so much more selections compared to Tysons. Well, it was mostly cake, but it was many selection of cake. My brother and I took sweet time trying them all. They were so good. The cakes were moist. The creme and the toppings were never to sweet or too fat (A reason I hate store bought cake). Again with the melt in the mouth. The sushi bar is still the sushi bar (Im not very knowledgeable on how sushi should taste like. I dont think there was much difference in taste). And Ive never went into the grill so~ Overall, the food is great, the price reasonable (and worth it) despite the lack of unlimited drinks included in the price. But I heard from the staff that we could actually bring our own drink in so no probs really.

Decent Chinese food buffet experience in clean, large dining room with attentive servers and lots of options. Situated right near Rockville Pike, Teppanyaki is one of the better Chinese buffets Ive been to in the DC area. Upon entering youre greeted by floor to ceiling bubbler that changes color, along with a greeter where you pay. After seating in the front, all the food is in the back section of the restaurant. Three different sections (divided into roughly CHinese, salad bar and American-esque) make up the self serve, along with a sushi bar and hibachi grill (though the hibachi was sparsely staffed). Options and trays were plentiful and never stayed empty for more than a few minutes. Food was hot and offered a good selection (the standbys like General Tsos and beef and broccoli, along with chicken feet and other Chinese delicacies). Theres also a dessert bar, but its a sad and depressing affair. A polite viewing is really all you need to do there. Prices are better at lunch, but dinner for four was under $60 including drinks. Not terrible for a meal you dont have to cook at home or dishes to be done after eating.

Besides the Waitress with the Nasty attitude that seated us and the lack of even the most basic attentiveness was the occasion of my wife using the Womens room encountering the most DEPLORABLE CONDITIONS. Three of the four stalls were flooded. Enough to where she had to roll up her pants legs; luckily the 4 became available. She also, noticed (once a month) BLOOD on the floor of one of the stalls. NASTY!!! No handsoap was available to wash with. When the Manager was asked for a scout arrived in the restroom with a broom and dust pan. What she did with it I cant imagine! I leave you with this thought... with all of the things going on in just the Ladies room. Imagine the utensils at the buffets, the utensils used to get the food, the condiments. Do you think that I or my family will ever return... #377 NO!!!

Its huge for a local place, and a pretty good selection of usual American Chinese food and occasionally some of the authentic dishes that scare away the American crowd. Be warned, if you actually show up when everyone else wants to eat, bring your elbow pads and a helmet. If you actually show up right when theyre serving lobster or crabs, you better bring the full tactical gear, including the high powered flashlight so you can beam others in the eyes to move up a spot to the crustacean delights. Youll learn right then that the seemingly nice Asian women become linebackers as they give you a hard shoulder and conveniently nudge their way ahead. This is a no holds barred situation. Or do as I do and show up at 5pm and eat in peace and quiet with instant drink refills by the waitresses. Problem solved.

This place used to be a Chinese buffet joint called Tysons Buffet. It came under new management and rebranded to "Teppanyaki Grill". I went recently, excited to see what updates theyd made. Unfortunately the trip was a little disappointing. The variety of the buffet offerings has diminished. Additionally the options that are there have become increasingly "Americanized", to such point that there are few real Chinese options left. The ambiance got spruced up a little and it now looks a bit better from the inside, but that doesnt seem to make up for the decline in food options. Still worth dropping by as the prices are reasonable, but dont expect to be impressed by the food.

Its a great disappointment - For the quality and selection of food, this place is way expensive! They advertised oyster bar, sushi, and lobster. But when we were there on New Years eve for dinner, there was neither oyster nor lobster. The tray where the oysters are supposed to be remained empty the entire time we were there (about 5:30 - 6:30 pm). And the quality of sushi was very disappointment: For the most part, the sushi plates remained pretty empty. There are plenty of other Japanese/Chinese buffets in the area and youd get much better choices for less money. Dont think we visit there again.

Ill tell ya, Im a huge fan of Teppanyaki. I typically love buffets but this place takes it to a new level. Now the thing about buffets is that you have to go in with a certain mentality. Its not like youre going into a Brazilian steakhouse and getting all the finest cuts of meat. You pay a good price to get a copious amount of Chinese inspired dishes, sushi rolls with the rare occasion of salmon and tuna nigiri, and bowls of stir-fry made to order on a teppann Style Grill. Youre not guaranteed to like everything there but I assure you will find plenty of dishes that youd enjoy.

Came on a Sunday and there was plenty of seating even though they were a little busy. The hostess seemed a little stiff but the waitstaff was extremely attentive. Overall the food was enjoyable. The brisket was tender, the salmon was moist and flavorful. They had a large selection of greens and desserts. Also, I was surprised that they had decent quality sushi. There were a couple of dishes that didnt seem quite right, the main one being the oysters. Ill probably avoid them on my next visit. The place was clean and overall it was a pleasant experience.

Its a buffet, something for everyone, nothing really healthy, great desert selection though. Nothing is always great. Its kind of a hit or miss. Some days theyre on top of fresh and plenty good tasting everything, other days its dry or empty trays/plates. Service is either great or terrible. Be prepared on holidays they usually do giant crabs, itll be more expensive, very busy and the crabs frequently go within a minute and then a line will start as people wait for more.

Ok were to start for one the food was terrible tasting, then to top it off there was a roach on my table. They gave a refund but the fact still remains they need a sanitary consultant. Then the guest that were present were out of control people getting things then putting it back and i even observed a lady lick a marshmellow at the chocolate foutain and redip it. I wont eat here until they improve the service gets 5 stars but the overall place gets one.
