I was APPALLED! I usually really enjoy eating there but that changed today. After eating, I went to use the mens restroom. I was using the urinal when I heard a guy cough. I turned my head and noticed he was in the stall right next to the urinal. Thats when I also noticed that where the stall door opens and closes, where theres an almost INCH GAP ANYONE CAN SEE THROUGH LINED RIGHT UP WITH MY PRIVATES! Anyone in the stall can watch me (or anyone else using the urinal) pee! All I could think was "Hes watching me pee, omg hes watching me pee!" So I hurry up and wash my hands when he comes out acting weird. Idk if he maybe just accidentally saw my privates so thats why he was acting weird or if he was deliberately watching me pee. I went back to my table and told what had happened to my mom and her friend. Well we paid and left. I just felt like people need to know about what happened to me and what could possibly happen to them. I am contacting Buffet Star about what happened and about the invasion of privacy in the mens restroom, which I feel that they are to blame. I will not go back until something is done about the restroom. If you and your family do go there to eat, please be aware of this problem so you can protect your privacy. Also this wouldnt have freaked me out so much if I didnt feel like he was deliberately watching me pee.

Food was flavorless, waited over 30minutes for check then decided to pay at counter... The waitress finally came up to the counter with our check and the. Stood and waited while we paid with a card, then threw a fit that we didnt leave a cash tip. We were going to tip on the card. I gave her a five for her awful additude and horrible service... I think I was more than generous! We will never return as that was such horrible service and food all around!!!! Kampai and Fuji San are much better hands down! Shame too, my wife had been dinning with them since before they moved up there, back when they were in the Olums parking lot

HONESTLY THIS PLACE WAS SOOOOOO F******G GOOD. omg like the fact that this is across from binghamton is like the reason im gonna go to the school. the food was so amazing YOU HAVE NO IDEA. probably the mot delicious cuisine i have had the pleasure of chewing in my entire life. i ate so much of it then went to the bathroom to throw up and then ate more! sooooo worth it. very clean and very good service and so many delicious items to choose from.AND DONT GET ME STARTED ON THE ICE CREAM BAR. i tipped 100 dollars bc that is how thankful i am that i got the honor to eat at this fine establishment.

The food and service in general is horrible I was seated to a tiny corner when I had a party of four with me they did not give me a chance to sit down before they started asking me about drinks. I explained to them this is my first time here and they just hurried up and rushed through everything. The waiter whom was rude with a nasty attitude did not make any suggestions to give idea and never came to ask if everything was okay. The food was not a great quality or a wide selection as advertised and it was cold. I would not recommend this place to anyone

Consistently bad service over the past few visits. Always have to ask for refills. I find it odd since all the waitresses have to do are remove dirty plates and get drinks since, you know, its a buffet. Tried to hold out and hope for better service but nope. The most recent time we were actually sat at a table that had food and soda residue on it and I had to clean it off in front of the waitress who did nothing. Also, some father changed his childs diaper in the booth next to us. Super sanitary dude. Im so done with this place.

I completely agree with Jen Jam. Every. Last. Word. We attended Buffet Star together after looking at Binghamton University and the delicious, exquisite, divine and scrumptious food selection very much influenced our decision to make Binghamton our top college choice. If youre in the area, or even if you arent and have to take a plane several hours to the restaurant, you should stop by. You wont ever forget walking through those prestigious marble columns of the oasis that is Buffet Star.

This place has a great variety of Chinese buffet items. Food is generally very fresh. Sushi is not bad, not great. Hibachi is fairly good. The atmosphere is better than the usual in the area... recently installed marble pillars and railings. This is probably the best Jack of all trades for chinese in the area. There appears to be a full wetbar behind the cashier but I havent ordered anything like that from here before.

Although the food is good, I was disappointed in the policy of charging for children by height rather than age. Today we had two 10 year olds with us and one was over the hieght and charged the adult rate the other the childrens rate! Even though she is tall.she eats like a little.girl! So doubt our family will be back there. Never have seen this policy before.

Im here at an off time (3p.m.). The staff is friendly. The food is fresh and amazing and this place looks stellar. Even the American food is great which personally I think doesnt happen often at Chinese buffets. Hands down. Best Chinese place Ive been too. They even have a boat load of ice cream and a chocolate fountain Thursday - Sunday

The only buffet in our area that serves decent sushi since Tokyo Sushi Buffet on upper front street closed. My kids plead to go here more than once a week. They have a good selection from which everyone in the family can find something to enjoy, and their service is really great - much better than Ive come to expect from a buffet.

I love buffet star! They always have fresh sushi and Asian American cuisine :D My only real complaint is that the staff are kind of rude? They seem to all be distracted, all the time? Its a bit frustrating. But if that didnt bother you, and you want to eat 10 pounds of sushi and Chinese food, for 15 bucks or less, youre good :D

80% of my meal was either cold when it should have been warm or hot , or bland an nasty. management was rude When confronted about the unsatisfactory meal and service i recieved. Wont ever eat there again. Save your money an go to the habatchi down the street way better service an WAY BETTER FOOD.

As a truly Chinese man, the cuisine here can reach a pretty good level if this buffet is in China. Lots of cuisine here has a good favor. I love it. But truly the waitress here has a bad attitude but I can just ignore it because in China we also have this kind of issue. All in all, 5 stars.

Great food!!! . Alot of Choices of food and kinds of food!!!! Friendly!!!! Always filling up or changing when trays of food get low, making sure your favorites are there when your looking for them or will be in a few minutes when they refill the tray of food youre looking for!!!!!
