I had heard that this place was a great Jewish deli. As a grocery store, it had a decent selection of kosher food, but not vast (there is far more to Jewish cuisine than just gefillte fish). But as a place to sit and eat, it was extremely disappointing. There are very few places to sit, just a couple of cramped tables in the back. But more importantly, the food was unspectacular at best. The sandwich was made on simple H&S Bakery sliced bread (half a step above Wonder bread). The smoked turkey was slimey. The list of sandwiches was unimaginative (partly covered up by stacks of paper plates) and not inexpensive. The meat was just Hebrew National. I could have made the same simple sandwich at home with the exact same ingrediants purchased at my local grocery store for a quarter of the price and eaten it in a better atmosphere. If you are looking for a good deli to eat at in Baltimore, keep looking because this is not one of them.

Its easy to pass by this place, located on Reisterstown Rd. in Baltimore. From the outside, it doesnt look like a gourmet market the way youd expect. Inside the place is stocked with all kinds of hard to find items like gourmet chips, pretzels, pickles (yup, they make gourmet pickles), chocolates, cakes, Dr. Browns soda, and of course deli. The sandwiches are great with a side of slaw. We take them to Oriole games. We always joke that we could sell them at the stadium.

This was amazing! Our first time at a deli such as this and we had a fantastic experience. I walked in and instantly smelled delicious pickles, rye bread, and pastrami. The owners were wonderful and welcoming. Turkey and pastrami were delicious and of course all the rye was amazing. Shelley was lovely and offered us some chopped liver. It was great, and she even sent us home with some more. I plan to come back and tell others about Edmart!!

Edsmart not a bad place for a bite. I picked up and pastrami on rye with mustard because being a jersey/ny guy i thought i could fulfill my northern pastrami need. Unfortunately it did not, but the pickles and coleslaw were really good. They gave other sandwiches available to choose from so give them a try.

Theres a few things that elevate this place above your average Jewish deli. Chiefly, its the brisket and the service. Great little location but a bit too cramped for eating in. Still, the first place you should go to if you only know Attmans and Lennys and want to branch out.

Service was kind and timely, very homey place and family owned. Saw them on the food Network and found out they were 8 minutes from my office, had to give them a try!

Started coming here recently, the brisket sandwich is outstanding, and service was very friendly. Little pricey but not unreasonable. I always leave satisfied.
