The cheesesteak I got tonight at Toscana Italian Deli while big, had NO FLAVOR. I had no idea where the cheese was, the onions were barely cooked, and the roll was cold and lifeless. IT WAS JUST HORRIBLE. I see no reason to return to Toscana Italian Deli as they clearly have adopted a whole different philosophy for making subs. The people in the 2 reviews below either work for Toscana Italian Deli, or have NO IDEA what a good sub is. Just after buying the business from Cannellas - Toscana Italian Deli continued the tradition of Marylands best subs - but those days are LONG GONE! Cannellas used to take the entire sub, place the cheese on top, then go the EXTRA CLASSY STEP of putting the whole thing in the oven to bake. You were given a hot sub, with a warm and crispy roll. The cheese was always perfectly melted on top adding the perfect touch to an amazing sub. Toscanas ------- where did you go wrong?

My family has been going to Toscanas on a fairly regular basis and have been pleased with the portions, selection and quality of the food. My favorite is the Italian cold cut with the works (and extra hots). Love the roll, the fresh meat - always wonderful! There have been a couple of misses - and the staff has been happy to redo something or just refund it if we werent happy. Luckily, those occasions have been few. I can see the current owners are fixing the place up, expanding, making a few tweaks - making the whole experience that much better. If youre in the hood and want a nice place to dine in or carry out, you owe it to yourself to give Toscanas a try.

We drive almost 10 miles and pass by lots of other sub shops and fast food restaurants to buy at Toscanas. They have a great selection of pre-made entrees that make delicious meals on nights when theres no time to cook. The best thing about Toscanas is their subs. The ingredients are first rate and they are HUGE. You really get your moneys worth. The BEST thing about the subs though is the bread they make on the premises for sub rolls. Always fresh and always delicious. Im a vegetarian so my favorite sub is, duh, the Veggie. Its chock full of fresh tomatoes, peppers and spinach and melt in your mouth mozzarella cheese.

Have been coming to this place since it was known as Cannellas Italian Deli. I have ordered such items like the True Italian Deluxe and other cold cut subs as well. I have been very pleased with them as well as their Cole slaw. I have also eaten Pizza, Cheese steaks, and the Chicken Parm sub and was really pleased with all of them. They have a royalty rewards program that if you sign up for you get $10 off your next order. As points earn on your reward card, you will get a free entree. I would definitely recommend this place.

The food is great, but do not even bother trying to call them for take out. Within 30 seconds of them answering your call they will tell you to hold on and place on you hold, and will then stay on hold for 15 minutes if not longer until you decide to hang up... never even getting to place your order. Kids run this place and it is just sad. Would be a great business if they didnt have kids running the whole place.

The food is generally very good, however, the staff needs to be more attentive in filling take-out orders. There have been numerous occasions where items have been left out of my order. I shouldnt have to check my order each time to make sure everything I purchased has been included. Just a minor glitch that can easily be fixed by addressing with the staff. Overall, Toscanas is a good deli!

My girlfriend and I eat here about once a week and we are never left unsatisfied with either the food or the service. It is right down the street from my house, so it is so convenient and quick. Everything from their subs to their pizza, to their deli is delicious. I would highly recommend this to anyone who loves big subs and great Italian food.

We have been going to Toscana for several years and have always been happy with the quality of the food. The staff is always friendly and welcoming. And the portions are quite generous. My husband raves about the pizza and I love the Italian subs. We both love the salads which are always perfectly fresh and made just as we request.

Im lucky that Toscanas is just down the street from my house because I am a frequent customer. They have great subs and pizza! My favorite is the Italian Sub.....but you really cant go wrong with anything on the menu. We have even had Toscanas cater some parties for us and theyve been a big hit with all of our friends and family.

Everything weve had so far is great. You cant beat the Monday crabcake special. Lump crab meat, very little filler and broiled perfectly. We took our daughter and granddaughter, who is 10 months old. She got her first taste of crab meat and loved it! They hooked another customer. Ive had co-workers go and they love it too.

My family used to come to this restaurant a lot. However, over the past few months they have been horrendous. Cold food, missing food, under cooked food or receiving the wrong food. Having worked in a small restaurant business like this I feel like it is being very missed managed. We will be taking our business elsewhere.

Wonderful fresh food! We buy a loaf of the fresh baked italian sesame bread every week for lunches. The selection of deli cheese and meat are diverse and also very fresh. I try to avoid subs in general, but if I want to splurge, this is the place to go. The italian coldcut and the cheesesteak sub are both awesome.

This is as hole-in-the-wall as it gets in Baltimore and the sandwiches are delicious. The Porchetta is my favorite followed by the Godfather. Definitely a must-visit for great Italian food (and pizza) when in the Northern Baltimore area.
