****Horrible management******Damaged Phone by Employee****Nov 3 2016 Me and friend went to Smashburger in Owings Mills MD. The store was having a grand opening and kind of busy. I placed my order and had a seat on the patio. Maybe 15 mins later the waiter Delshawn cam to deliver my friends food and in the process he knocked my things off the table. My phone, receipt and table marker. I immediately told Delshawn as long as my phone isnt cracked we are good. I picked up the phone and it was cracked. Brand new 32gb Iphone 7 plus less than 30 days old! I asked Delshawn what could be done about my phone, he shrugged his shoulders. I immediately asked to speak with a manager. note: I was giving an apology from the waiter! After 20 mins of waiting on a manager I walk inside to ask for a a manager, As I wait to address the situation I here someone in the Grill state " What does he want a free meal or something for a cracked phone!" note: this was the store Manager Kia Holt This outraged me as if i can clearly hear the comment it the customers can as well. I step the counter adjacent to the kitchen and state NO I do not want a free meal for a 700 dollar phone i would like to be address and treated as customer and have my damaged phone address! I go back outside and finish my meal. 20 more minutes past i decide to sit in the store an wait for a manager. Eventually Paulina Silva - great employee - came over and took my complaint on an incident form and advised me of the process. Which is basically a piece a paper describing the incident. As of today no one has contacted me. Note: on the incident form Kia Holts actions are downplayed in an attempt to cover her inability to manger the situation properly. I have contacted Smashburger corp and left several complaints and messages for the District Manger Troy.... I have yet to get a response! I guess the customer service with Smashburger ends once they take your money!!!!! Kia Holt needs to be FIRED! and I need my phone repaired. Update 11/14 Called Corp once again - several notes on my acct stating i would be contacted. No requesting communication with Troys Boss. Email Sent Today per Catlin

The smashburger fries are decent but the black bean burger is awful. Customer service isnt the best either. I didnt get what I ordered and I didnt know until I got home and sat down to eat. I ordered a Chesapeake black bean burger and was given a big Chesapeake burger. Im a pescatarian so things couldve went really bad if I bit into the burger without looking. Luckily I was within a 10 minute drive so I called to notify the staff and asked for my entire order to be remade. Upon arrival, the burger was ready but when I asked about the fries I was told I already had my fries. Lastly, I asked what was the difference in price and was told I didnt owe anything. I stated a black bean burger and a beef burger isnt the same price. I asked for a strawberry shake instead but was ignored. The manager had to process the refund and I told her I asked for a strawberry shake to avoid all of the refund hassle and she said she wouldve done it without a problem. So I said Ill wait and she said "oh youll have to pay for it now" Needless to say I will not patronize any location of this franchise.

Went around 7pm on a Friday and it was packed. Its not a big shop by any means. Line was out the door. I guess its a decent amount of seating, but because this location is so new and it was right at dinner time, it wasnt really anywhere to sit. Had to hawk for seats. Cant fault them for being popular, just keep it in mind if you go during lunch/dinner for the next few weeks. Anyway, I got the "small" size of the BBQ Cheddar bacon burger, which was fantastic. The smashfries are delicious too; nicely seasonsed with rosemary and oil, though Im not a fan of shoe string fries by any means. They are just too thin. Cookies and cream milkshake was perfect, and they even give you the metal tin with a little extra milkshake on the side. I probably dont need the large size burger, as I was full when I finished my meal. Perfect serving size. Friendly service and the employees are quick to come clean up tables when guests leave. I will definitely be back.

I liked this place when it was in Fells Point and was happy it came to my area. With that being said this the second time stuff was messed up. The first time I got a sandwich with smash fries got home opened my bad and it was sweet potato fries instead. I decided to easy them cause I wasnt going back, now I like sweet potato fries until then they was cold and nasty. Was really upset. Second time my lady gets a burger with the egg bun get home and the bun is covered in grilled onions when no onions was ordered but this bun looked like someone just smashed grilled onions all in it. I should have checked my bags before I left cause the cooks was more focus on a loud conversation and cursing then doing a job. Bad thing is I opened the bag to make sure we had the right fries. If I ever go again Ill just open everything before leaving......

Worst customer service ever. First visit there and definitely will be my last. When we walked in, the person designated to take orders had her back turned for about 6 minutes without saying "Hello" to us and to the guests behind us. I then decided to speak first to her but she still had her back turned at us like whatever she was doing was way more important than taking our orders. The cooks in the back saw what was going on but ignored us as well. We decided to leave and go somewhere else where we will be serviced respectively and not like our presence is an inconvenience. The customer service there is basically trash and unless you want to be disrespected and ignored while spending your money, Ill suggest not going there.

I have been here several times before and ordered only sandwiches up until yesterday when I decided to order a salad for the first time . I have seen there salads on the menu with a picture and they looked very good . I ordered online , I got the spinach salad with simply chicken on it , I also got another salad with lettuce and grilled chicken but instead received crispy chicken and a bunch of other things I did not want on there and I did specify that I did not want them on there when placing the order . The salads were soggy because of the steaming hot chicken on them and very nasty tasty after the spinach started sticking together and got wet and hot . I WILL NEVER SPEND MY MONEY HERE AGAIN !!!!

I thought the food was good. My burger was good, I got the avocado burger. The only thing is, I thought portions were very small. If you compare a place like Smashburger and lets say Fuddruckers. Smashburger does not come close in terms of how much food you get. The burgers are much smaller, and so is the portions of food you get. Now with saying that, I thought the food was great. What was even better was the service. The service reminds me a lot of chickfila. Every single person that went by asked if I needed anything. Truly great service. I would recommend smash burger, but dont be surprised if you leave hungry...
