Another delicious meal tonight, we have never been disappointed. The Nepalese food is our favorite. Be sure to call ahead for dinner. --Edit update 11/15/13-- New owner new menu... After several meals in an empty dining room in the past, we were afraid they would go out of business, and they did. Now they have reopened. The food is still good. The menu is much shorter. Everyone enjoyed their meals anyway. The spicy hot is offered on a scale of 1 to 10, and it seemed to make everyone happy. I did not eat the goat, but it seemed to be mostly bones. It was served in a compartmentalized oval stainless steel platter with basmati rice and vegetables. My fried vegetable balls were served in a delightful sauce, but were neither crunchy nor soft, but somewhat stringy and gooey, and impossible to cut with a fork. Nevertheless, I found them quite good. The wait staff was attendant to the water glasses, but left too much time after the meal for ordering desert. We were no longer hungry. In fact, the waiter never asked if we wanted desert at all. The decor is different. There are no longer traditional bright colors. (Not that I would know about triditional Indian anything having never traveled to India.) The formally bright arched entrance which had offered a cheerful message, was somewhat sloppily painted over in thick brown with paint splashing on adjacent trim. Sorry, I digress. We enjoyed our meal and will return.

I was here for Thanksgiving and wanted to order take out buffet. I asked one of the waiters if I could have a styrofoam box for a take out and the waiter in broken English tells me they dont offer buffet take out. I was a bit confused since I have taken out buffet many times before. I then go to the old guy by the register to see if I can get a take out box, but he was in a heated conversation with some customers that were about to leave. I patiently wait few minutes for him to end his conversation but 5 minutes later the old man is still talking to them. I wave and say hi but the old man is still ignoring me, but the customers he was talking to looked at me, so I know I was making myself obvious. Due to this I just left, talk about a ruined Thanksgiving day. I just wanted a home cooked meal but I had to settle for a fast food instead. I went back about 6 months later and I must say the food variety isnt as much as it use to be from 2 years ago when I first discovered this place. For the same price of $10 buffet, at the Hibachi Grill I can get so much more. If they want my business they will seriously have to add more to their buffet menu.

Had eaten there 6 months ago (May, 2014) and the food was good. Not WOW good, but good. Came back in November, 2014 and my wife and I were bowled over by the two dishes we ordered - Chicken Vindaloo and Lamb Saag. I have Indian ancestry and love good Indian food. As a result, I can be very discriminating. I cant remember when Ive had Indian dishes that stood out from those of other restaurants to the extent these did. Night and day. I asked the waiter if Mt. Everest had changed chefs since our last visit 6 months earlier. He said that "Everyone has changed" by which I presume he meant it is under new management. It will be hard for me to find a reason to go to any other Indian-style restaurant in Baltimore. Note: I dont know if the preparation of the food is Nepalese or traditional Indian. And I dont care. I know what I like.

Great value for the great taste! Ive been here about 2-3 times and have always had exceptional and friendly service coupled with great tasting food. Im new to Indian food, so the waitress was able to help me pick something I would enjoy, which was very tasty (It was some sort of lamb dish). They also have buffets, which is great for me since I get to try a little bit of everything and find new favorite dishes to eat. The guest I had with me enjoyed their meal as well (theyve been eating Indian food for a few years). The appearance may not look like much on the outside (its in a shopping center) but its nicely decorated inside with large ceiling, drapery, and huge art prints related to the Indian culture. Go try it!

As a retired professional chef I enjoy eating out at least once a week. Being new to Baltimore its been fun exploring the great variety of restautants over the last two years. We had friends bring take out one night for our first taste of Mt Everest, and knew we had to try it at the restaurant. We have been there twice since and think its the best in the Baltimore area. The service is great! We also enjoy bringing our own wine, but understand they might be getting their liquor license someday. Our favorite dishes are the Birani, and Tikka Masala. We also enjoy their vegetarian dishes. The price is reasonable and we always seem to have leftovers to enjoy the next day.

We went to Mt. Everest last night with a larger party of 6, including kids. The service was wonderful, very prompt and considerate we thought. We were worried it would take a long time to get our food due to some reviews wed read online uut it didnt. It took a little long for our server to bring our check at the end of the meal was all. All of the food was exquisite with every person at the table raving about what they ordered. There is an extensive menu to choose from and not a bad thing on it! Wed highly recommend this to anyone. The large seating area and fine serveware/service, give this restaurant a fine dining feel to it at moderate prices. GOOD FIND!

You will never believe how good this place is unless you stop in. Truly authentic Indian and Nepalese cuisine. The food not only tastes, but also smells amazing. The different spices and vegetables true to the region, will make your senses go nuts. My mouth is watering now thinking about the chicken chilli. If you like spicy, get the vindaloo. They will make it so hot you will sweat and cry tears of joy. Order off the menu or if you arent familiar with Indian or Nepalese dishes, try the buffet . The staff is attentive and friendly. The manager truly cares about service and the quality of the food. You can definitely tell. Good stuff!!!

Awesome Indian and nepales food! Have been here only twice, but can tell you it is good. The chicken tikka masala is great, as well as the lamb korma. Dont go without getting some naan bread, I like the garlic one, but recommend you skip that flavor if you are on a date and bring your own alcohol. Havent had it yet, but heard about the lunch buffet. Sounds perfect for sampling all of the popular dishes A thing I like is they let you pick your spicy level from 1-10 on applicable dishes, so if you like it spicy, go 10, not so much, 1. Service has been great, they are friendly and ready to help make recommendations to those new to the cuisine.
