I ate there last night after stopping a few blocks away with my girlfriend and just "roaming" via foot to see what looked good. I was a little skeptical going in, and as we were seated I felt a little awkward (it is very quiet and the table cloths gave me a feeling that it hadnt been updated in a long time). Our waitress was very helpful offering suggestions on what we might like. Both myself and my girlfriend like Indian food but only really eat it maybe once or twice a year. Well the waitress (and chef!) did a great job because my girlfriend and I both agreed it was absolutely delicious! I would go even farther to say its the best Indian food Ive ever had and the best meal period Ive had in the last 6+ months. We had fish pakoras for an appetizer, (split) the buna lamb as a main dish and 2 orders of garlic naan. It was all great (although the fish pakoras would have been better if they were crispier, not sure if thats intentional or not). It was easily enough for myself and my girlfriend, and I just ate the leftovers today for lunch. :) Overall I felt like it was a great value. Im not sure what some of the 1 star reviews are for this place, I assume they are just people with more acute Indian food palates than I. I guess if you are not an "Indian food snob", you will love this place! I know Ill definitely be back!

Great food! The restaurant is a bit outdated and feels a bit tacky. When we first went in at about 6:30 pm we were the only people in there and we were a bit skeptikal. We went a ahead and ordered a bottle of wine for only $20 which was surprisingly good. We than proceed to order some Meat and Vegetable Samosas. Both offering were very good. You get one per order but they are very large so we should have ordered just one to share for two people. There were four of us and we ordered vindaloo, tiki masala, shahi paneer, and butter chicken as well as naan. Everything was very well seasoned and tasted absolutely delicious. They do cater to Americans and allow you to specify wether you want your curry mild, medium or hot. at the end of my meal I had a chai tea which was a perfect ending to my meal! P.S. By the time we left a couple of hours later (we lingered) the restautrant was full of other customers. I would definitely recommend this place to any of my friends and will return myself.

My first Indian food experience in Baltimore. The. Best. Home-cooked. Taste. Ever. Period. I grew up in India and moved to the US about 10 years ago. This restaurant has cooking the closest to home cooking that Ive seen anywhere (even compared to restaurants back home...). Really great taste. The ambiance adds to the authentic experience. Hehe, once you step inside, there is no indication that you are in the US anymore (except for Dr. Oz on the TV). Everything (even the ceiling tiles and tacky art on the walls) seems to transport you back to a dhaba/restaurant in Punjab. On the upside, the food also transports you to that very same dhaba in Punjab. Very very good. Looking forward to eating good Indian food here many times to come. Caveat: First visit. Only tried vegetarian Samosa and Eggplant. Do not know about the rest of the menu (yet...).

This restaurant has great food and has been in the community for 10 years. They have 26 years of experience and they have the same cook for 20years. People who have a problem and know how to cook iindian food can eat at home then if they think that they are wasting money at this restaurant and should not critise the restaurant. They have been in the city paper 4 times as best restaurant. They have been in the sun paper and baltimore magizine as the best restaurant in Little Italy. They have been delivering for 20 years since 1990. They owned India Grill and Singh Express. If some body has a problem then you should go open your own indian restaurant and do business. Only a indian knows the taste of food so if you dont like the food then go bind your own businessand dont write a bad report. Dilawar Singh Khatkar

I ordered for delivery in Feb firstweek 2013 sometime. At that time it(Malai Kofta) was not tasty at all. I thought may be at that time it was not good. Let me try again, so I called this restaurant and tried to order CHANNA MASALA. I told person (like 60+) that Last time it was not tasty. I just said that .... oh man.. He started angrily on phone without listen further. And he did not give me time to finish my sentence even, he cut the phone... I was surprised. I dont know how they can run business without having good hospitality. Food - Poor-Fair Decor - Poor-Fair (I dont know about Decor. Because I did not visit restaurant personally. But as you have to select option thats why I selected this option.) Service- Worse...There has to be another category ..like "DO NOT GO" Date was 2/26/13 6:30PM.

Bad Manners, Over Priced, Lousy Decor. The other day I took a business associate for lunch. Following our lunch, we sat to for 15 minutes or so to go over some papers. We were interrupted by an extremely rude waiter who told us that I will give you guys another 5 minutes to leave. The lone waiter with wild hair looked as if he was on drugs. With respect to quality and price, I will say the restaurant offers one or two star quality and charges five star prices. The owners need to realign food prices with the quality they offer.

Two + years back we loved this place. Sporadically in 2008 became disappointed; quantities shrank, meat dishes were lacking in meat, it often came less than hot. We discovered another Indian place in Fells Point that was excellent, but 2 months ago they went belly up. Ouch. Two weeks ago we tried Rasoi again and were pleasantly surprised. It wasnt the best -or worst- weve ever had, but it was tasty. Id like to recd giving them another go....we NEED Indian delivery in this town and this very nice family is it!

I like delivering Grub Hub orders from here at Little India. Hes Five Star Fast. I see he has a buffet going on and Im one the road. Id like to invite some of the taste-testers to give their take on the food. Hes prompt. Appears he has a buffet set up at times. Right in Little India on Aliceanna St. Stop in and rub Bhuddas belly or have it brought to you with Grub Hub.

Not at all testy food. We went with couple of friends. We order few vegi and few non-veg subzi and it was not at all testy. One sabzi was just dipped in mint chatani. We did not like the food we spent. Prices were very high and quantity was also small forget about the test. I would not recommend this restaurant to any one.

Opened under new management 4 months ago-fair prices and quantity , especially the thali. Have been here before during previous management, now is by far the best. Good for frequenters to Indian restaurant, for their prices and good quality food! Will ask them next time, if they have a monthly discount for Thalis.
