The food at India Garden has been consistently good since their opening. They use fresh ingredients, and prepare all dishes with care. We always order one of the starter dishes, a couple of curry or tandoori main courses, and side-dishes of raita, mango chutney, achar and bread. We have tried most of the main courses on the menu, and would be happy to recommend them all! Spice level is well controlled, and always to the rating you request (on a scale from one to ten). Most people would be happy with a curry in the three to six range; but a one-two is still very tasty, and an eight-nine may grow hair on your eye-balls. The portions are generous. We often find enough to use for lunch or a light evening meal in the left-overs boxes we carry away. Service here is calm, patient and attentive. You have to wait wait for the dishes you order--and thats just what good food takes. The staff are knowledgeable and happy to advise or recommend dishes you may enjoy. We have taken friends and foreign visitors to this restaurant, and they also were impressed by the high quality and good service at this "hole in the wall" place. This is definitely a place to add to your list of "hidden jems" in Harford County.

I have never had any inclination towards Indian food, curry or the like. I am ignorant of the subtilties and even nomenclature but india garden was recommended so I tried it. I have to say I was thoroughly impressed!. We ordered the Garbanzo bean and avocado salad. Light and fresh, slight citrus flavor. Curry chicken was fresh, solid execution, each flavor came across as distinct and well created. The garlic bread was rich and heavy with a very freshly roasted garlic flavor. I also ordered wings which took longer and were good, the Kebab (assorted app) was dry though flavorful and fresh. The real winner was the Hot and Sour soup. That is worth the trip alone. When someone cares it is obvious to me. Fresh ingredients taken from a raw state, prepared correctly and not too far in advance, held properly at correct temperatures and served hot or cold as appropriate. india garden did this at each turn.

The service is spectacular. For example we went in with our toddler and literally before we even sat down they had a cup with a lid and a straw ready for her. Not too much attention and not too little, they anticipated needs and made great recommendations. The waiter who wasnt even working our table still serviced us. The food is delicious, the prices and portions reasonable. We eat until it hurts when we go here. This place is really a gem, cant recommend it enough.

I have never been tempted to try Indian cuisine simply because I thought I would not like it. I am not a huge curry fan. Due to my good friends urging, I agreed to give India Garden a try. I was very pleasantly surprised!! The food is great, buffet bar is very enticing and delicious and I love going there. Service is excellent and everyone there is friendly and eager to be of assistance. A must try!

I came here for lunch when they have the buffet and it was pretty good. Not a huge selection but everything was tasty, especially the naan which was very delicious! The employees were very friendly and attentive and the restaurant was not busy. Overall, I would recommend if you are craving some Indian food at a good value, it is one of the better Indian places in the area.

Great first time experience with friends at this fun place. Server was very patient and informative helping us make the right choices and answering all of our questions... and we had many:) We had 2 appetizers and 4 entrees and everything was very good. Tasted fresh and made to order as they claim and I would definitely recommend this restaurant.

We had a delicious meal. The decor was pleasant and relaxing...complimented by lovely soft Indian music. Service was excellent and so was the food. They have a refreshing tea that is brewed there. Im so excited to have this place so close by..but would happily travel to visit again. The samosas are the best Ive had in Maryland.

I like this place a lot. Its easily the better indian restaurant in the area. The people are very nice and the food comes quick. Its not expensive and the food is good. What more could you want? Well, I would like a better beer selection, but thats about it.
