Inn management craves recognition by a youth market - Evidence? The music delivered by their PA system is loud and undistinguished - Service was attentive and gets a full B - Food? C- their mashed potatoes were lumpy, their meat loaf too salty - Prices seemed reasonable. Options for seating can be iffy - Be sure to ASK for dining room location, otherwise you may get shunted into a noise chamber otherwise known as the Bar Area - OpenTable wasnt working that night so we chanced showing up at 5pm without reservation. We were grudgingly admitted but were told we had to be out of dining room by 7pm (which we were able to do). Heaven forbid that our lingering would cost the managers a table turnover. Its not a terrible location and best enjoyed with some liquor (two minimum) and a chatty congenial group. Although the dining room was otherwise empty we were seated beside a table of 12 chatty diners. while there were many open tables some distance away when we left, obediently observing the imposed 7pm curfew Id thought that parent Oregon Grille had exhausted the "horsey" motif so dear to the hearts of some county residents, but no. Décor is an uninspired knockoff of the Grille. (Decorating leftovers?) Its not intrusive, but some departure from equine celebration would be nice for those of us who dont sport live horses as lawn ornaments..

Made reservations a week in advance for a Friday night dinner at the Valley Inn to celebrate my wifes birthday. When we arrived we were seated in the bar in the middle of a loud and crowded happy hour. Could not hold a conversation across the table and had difficulty communicating with the server. Server and the food were both very good. Asked to see the manager and expressed disappointment in our experience. Manager stated that the problem was that we made the reservation on-line thus, we got seated anywhere in the restaurant. He stated that the problem was that it was raining and that there was a lacrosse game at a nearby school. Never once stated he was sorry or accepted any blame on behalf of the restaurant for not providing a suitable dining experience. After our conversation with the Manager, it was clear why we had such a disappointing experience at the Valley Inn. Will not return.

Pretty horrible brunch. I come here quite often as we live only a couple minutes away but its been getting worse every time. This time we had a reservation but were told we had to "sit at a bar high top or wait a long time for our table in the dining room." With kids we didnt really want to but did anyway. Service was insanely slow. We didnt get our food until an hour later and I mentioned to the same host and asked to speak to the manager. The manager never showed and no apology was ever given for where we were seated or the long wait. And the wait was not worth it for he food. Most of the meals werent very good (the Benedict and breakfast quesadilla were bland and not good). There was no kids menu so my son got the adult $12 waffles but apparently it was just one waffle that wasnt very good and nothing else. Well be going elsewhere for our next time out.

We have eaten here several times . We love the decor and the coziness. Now the problem THE FOOD . !! You need to redo the menu ! A French dip is not cold lunch meat It is real tender hot roast beef . Do not serve bland chicken and 3 sauces to give the chicken flavor. Why isnt the seafood grilled with seasoning . So it has flavor ? The desserts offered should be real homemade chocolate cake , carrot cake , creme brûlée , Fresh peach pie in the summer . With ice cream . We love it here , but I feel if you do not redo the menu , you are losing a lot of customers . Do u read the reviews . NOT THAT GOOD !!

Wonderful ambiance, with warm, cozy charm, and elegant dining room with multiple fireplaces and lots of horse-related art, symbolic of the surrounding countryside. Menu offers extensive choices of seafood and beef and is reasonably priced. Service is attentive, if occasionally a bit amateurish, but overall its satisfactory. Wine list is limited, but with good variety and moderate prices. Tuesdays, all wine is 20% off. Overall, this place has a comfortable, engaging charm that will make you want to return. Also, a very busy bar area, complete with various big screens.

Really noisy. Asked to be seated in a different dining room, but not much quieter. Except for the squash soup (yuk--like thick baby food or a pumpkin pie run through the food processor) the food was quite good. But heres the thing, my crab imperial was about the size of a small crab cake. Served in a scallop shell, it looked lost. My oysters didnt even look to be legal size. Im talking really small. 6 fit comfortably on a small luncheon plate. Service was okay. Went home and made myself a sandwich. For value, I rate it zero.

My scoring is based on what I have ordered which is burgers and fries. I dont know about anything else on the menu. The fries were outstanding, some of the best I have had. The people I was with did enjoy what they had as well. We ate in the bar area which has a hunting theme. The waitress was friendly and did a good job. I havent eaten in the dining area so I cant comment on that.

We had a baby shower in the private room upstairs. The room is perfect for a private party. The Event Planner, Megan, and all of the staff were so organized and accommodating. The room was set up beautifully, exactly as we had discussed with Megan. The Valley Inn printed the menus and place seating cards. If you are planning a party this is a great place.

Worst restaurant in Baltimore county. Very poor service. The waitress brought the check while we were eating dinner. I ordered the arugula salad topped with steak medium, it was brought out rare (raw), then it was cooked well done.. no flavor.. 1 oz portion $10.00. We gave this place a second chance. Big disappointment.

What is not said: a great place to drink with the club crowd...if youre in the club. Not a great place to eat as its just overpriced Sysco food. Nice outdoor drinking and smoking area if youre into that. Not for quiet conversation as tables are tight.

Going to Valley Inn was a holiday lunch gift to myself and the rest of the staff. Very nice establishment, with lots of old Hollywood history (John Wayne, Clark Cable, Katherine Hepburn, and more). Food was excellent.

The crab soup was over priced(couldnt even find the crab). Tasted like vegetable soup with Old Bay. My Avacado BLT was good. My friend had the club sandwich (plenty of turkey and bacon). The service was excellent.

I loved it from the horse racing theme to the crab cakes. The crab cakes may be small but they are probably the best I have had. The burgers are huge . The staff was great. I am looking forward to going back.

Came here for a Christmas party and it was awesome. Cozy, friendly, very much Christmas. The food was great. Mediocre tapped beer selection but you cant be perfect!
