It was a terrible and disgusting experience. my husband and I had a taste for Jamaican food and while driving by, we found this place online. we walked in and lady Tanya who took our order did not even say Hi or acknowledge us, she just stared at us like she didnt want to be there and we were inconveniencing her by coming in to eat. we ordered oxtail, beef pattie and cocoa bread. told her we are eating here and she put it in a bag as though she wanted us out. I asked for a tray and she sluggishly walked two steps away to grab a tray. I took the tray and we sat down to eat and realized we only had one fork in the bag. my husband stood up to ask for another fork. Tanya responded harshly, "didnt we give you one already? my husband, shocked, but responded you did but Its two of us and Id like another one and a spoon. Tanya responded screaming "you cant get both, you can only get one". my husband shocked at her remarks stated, no I want both. Tanya stood there and starred him harshly, frowned and walked away to grab the utensils. it was like watching a movie. at the this point I have had enough of the insults and rudeness so I walked up and asked for a manager and she claimed she was. I asked for her name and she refused to give it to me but stupidly forgot its written on the receipt. I told her, her attitude was unnecessary and she immediately started screaming at me and my husband saying she does not need to answer to us, you can only get one fork per customer and thats that and she walked away to the back. I have never heard anything like that in my years of eating out, her attitude was disgusting mostly for a woman of her age, old enough to be a mother. we will never go back there again and wish no one else goes there. no customer deserves to be treated like that because of a stupid plastic fork. she ruined our nice evening with her nasty and disrespectful attitude. people like Tanya do not deserve to be working in a customer service environment because they do not know the importance of service. As a manager myself and my husband a Neuro Surgeon, we understand the importance of serving people and making sure people around we serve are %100 satisfied with our service. Like I said, never again are we going in there.

Love the oxtail here!!!! I dont know what the other review is about, but its not a 5 star restaurant, ITS GOOD JAMAICA FOOD!!! Its like stepping into a big mamas kitchen. Im not Jamaican or from the islands (though have remained that are) and drive 45 minutes away from my home just to get me some oxtail from here. The best!!!

I have tried every restaurant in this area Ive lived in maryland for 21 yrs from Trinidad & Tobago and I will have to say that Jamaican Country Kitchen is the best this far! Their food is cooked fresh everyday!

The hours of this place are erratic at best. Says they should be open at Sunday from.10-8 its 5:59 and theyre closed..update your hours else youre wasting folks time.
