This place is mostly empty being in the middle of two other popular restaurants (Mission BBQ and Outbacks). We decided to go in instead of Outback as we originally planned which we ended up regretting. Service was friendly, but the food was terrible. I really dont understand why there are 3 - 4 other previous great reviews on this place. Did they get a new chef since then? Anyways, we got the nachos sin fronteras and the burrito with carnitas. Our order came with complementary nachos and salsa. Nachos were good, salsa tasted like it was canned. We really like Mexican restaurants and been to a few. The salsa has so far always been obviously fresh, made in-house, but this was definitely not. Our Nachos Sin Fronteras appetizer came in a warm plate, but the food was not. Chicken was room-temp to cold-ish, what little cheese there was wasnt even melted. Worse part was how something tasted off, past its expiration date. We werent sure what, until our burrito came out and it also tasted somewhat rotten. We were able to trace the taste to the sour cream. Sure, its sour cream and should be sour, but it tasted like putrid dairy and it was squirted all over the burrito and nachos. Burrito itself was also bad. The carnitas it had was okay, but unfortunately the burrito was 90% stuffed with the rice (no exaggeration). What??? The rice wasnt even good. It was mushy like super gloppy rice pudding and had random bits of beans (not refried beans as one would expect). I informed our server about the sour cream at the end of our meal (Maybe he was also the owner or manager. There was only him and the guy making the food.) He went to the back with the cook who didnt return back with him when we finished paying our check. Get a new chef, please. Service was friendly, food was terrible. When I say terrible I mean it. This was been to this day the worst food we have had and wont be returning.

OMG . Felt like I went on vacation. Great dinner. My date had the Taco Salad. Authenticity! Cilantro sauce was amazing and oh, so home made! I had the Pollo marinated in tequila! So delicious and a very refreshing change from the boring ho hum ordinary fare. Go South of the Border tonight!! You will be happy you did. Highly recommend, mi amigas, the delicious food at the warm and relaxing little Cantina, Sin Fronteras.

I organize meetups for people who want to practice their Spanish and we chose to have dinner here. The waiter was extremely considerate and helpful, making sure everyone got exactly what they ordered and offering to split the check between 7-8 different people. I had an exquisite salad with amazing shrimp and loved every bite of it. The service and food were both exceptional!

We used to love this restaurant. But the past two times we have gone to enjoy Happy Hour as depicted on the window outside of the restaurant, we were charged full price for our drinks. I discussed the issue with our server each time, and the issue was not rectified. Today the server actually argued with me. So unfortunately, we will not be returning to this establishment.

First time visit... sat outside on a rare delightfully cool August night. Wait staff seem a bit sluggish. Carnita tacos were oily - we had to let the oil drip out. They were mostly flavorless. However, the baleada with steak was sublime and I would order them again in a heartbeat. Hubby had Chile en nogada and enjoyed it as well.

The best Mexican Restaurant Ive ever been to. You must get the Guacamole and a margarita. Weve tried a number of entrees from the menu and have never been disappointed. The Fajitas are to die for and Jorge is a Gentleman. There is no question that we will be back.

Great food, very unique differentiated from regular Mexican restaurants, the kitchen varies with flavors from central and South America and the drinks are gohd as well. Just the salsa needs improvement, but even though the food deserves five stars.

Stopped by at opening, no one was inside, no sign on the door, tables and chairs were stacked. Returned 30 minutes later - same situation. Chose another restaurant. Unsure if this establishment is permanently closed.
