Dont be fooled by the high rating and other reviews on Google... this place is awful. Looks like an old diner / Friendlys, in a strip mall, that they just changed the sign for. The whole place had a dirty feel to it, with flies going around. Sushi was terrible. Save yourself a wasted trip. I go through this area for work occasionally, and my personal favorite is Wasabi in the LaVale mall. Its a hibachi grill, but has best sushi in the area imo...

This is by far my favorite Asian restaurant in the area. The portion sizes are amazing for the price. And the sauce they use is phenomenal. Definitely a must-go for anyone who hasnt been here! I visit several times a month and never get tired of it. Staff is friendly and it is a nice environment. They also do take out. Definitely recommend this place. Never a bad experience!

I eat here regularly. Im probably their best customer. The food is awesome and the people are genuinely friendly. I often go late, when most restaurants would frown upon 10 people showing up 20 minutes until close. They always accommodate us. Best food of this type in Allegany County, MD. If you like food thrown at you, go to the mall.

Hibachi is good. Try the sushi bento dinner; they have simpler, plainer, and generally better and less expensive sushi than Zen Shi. Theyre in the middle of remodeling the dining area as of July 2017, so its a bit spare as far as atmosphere goes. I would almost take away a star because the service is not always that good.

My wife and I ordered steak and shrimp. We also had salads with ginger dressing and fried rice. We both had a extra side of Miso and green onion soups. The food was delicious and the service provided by a young asian girl excellent. Nice family styled restaurant. Very fair pricing for the quality and service provided.

We eat here frequently and love the food and the fair prices. Sometimes the sushi comes with very artistic drawings on the plates as well. Kind and friendly staff. If you like uppity, snobby sushi places then it may not be for you.

Food wasnt what we expected, we are sushi loving people. You cant get any good sashimi, I asked for coffee and I got instant. He had asked for his steak to be medium rare and it was well done. Not impressed at all!!! Waste of trip.
