I had heard alot of good things about Federalsburg Family Rest. and my 10yr old and i decicded to try dinner. We went on a thursday night which was not that busy. We were greated by a lady who was not very nice when seating us. Her attitude and lack of friendlyness was a bummer. Next our waitress came up to get our order a simple burger and fries for my son and a cold cut for me. Our food took 40 mins to get and yes it was slow in there!!!! When receiving it my sons order had chips instead of fries. Instead of leaving the burger and chips and bringing out fries she takes the entire order back. My 10yr old sat there for another 6 mins before he got his food. It was absolutely ridiculous!!! The floors and decor were not cleaned they were filthy!!! The cold cut i got i could barely eat half it was so disgusting! We sat for another 10 mins when he was done eating waiting to be acknowledged for a check! Then i got it had my credit card ready and she said oh just take it to the front counter . So once getting to the front counter the greeter(unfriendly) was there and she was getting bills w/credit card payments that were seated why did i have to walk to the front to pay mine???? This is the worst place as far as friendlyness, cleanlyness and the foods and attitudes matched they were crap. I will never eat there again and recommend you to watch yourself. Maybe new people are just treated like crap on purpose to keep the regulars coming. Lets just say for this gal it worked. Will be going to Empire Pizza from now on!!!!

PROS: The best beer battered onion rings I ever had. That is the only good point about this restaurant during my visit. CONS: Waitresses walked by food on the floor by a table. A customer about to sit at that table had to ask to have the food cleaned up. Air conditioning vents on the long side of the rectangle dining area blow air directly on customers on the opposite side of the room. Very uncomfortable to have cold air blowing on my head; had to ask to have it turned down or off. I ordered the tuna salad sandwich on wheat bread. The bread was stale--crust on edges was hard. Sure did not taste like tuna either. Woefully overpriced for a wimpy sandwich and a handful of potato chips that were a part of the meal. Will not dine there again.

If I could give negitive stars I would. This was literally the worst place ive ever seen starting by just the sheer oder after walking in. There was no service and when we were finally sat there was left over food still there. No one was using gloves and what seemed to be the manager dropped candy from a despener picked it up no gloves and put it back. We hadnt even gotten our drinks and walked out five minutes after we ordered them.

Waitress not too friendly....wife and I ordered shrimp with crab imperial and the crab had shells in it....shrimp was rubbery and overcooked and coleslaw was sour tasting and broccoli was rubbery. Owner offered a 10% discount and a milkshake! What a pos! 10 per cent on a $70 bill and a milkshake! Kids fries were not cooked all way through....Ill,never eat at this nasty place again!

The fried flounder I ordered was over fried . I couldnt get a fork through the second piece . Instead of cutting the price at all , I was repeatedly asked if I wanted an ice cream on the house . I refused . People make it a point to eat elsewhere in Federalsburg now theres an option . That thought should be taken into consideration

We go every other week and though they have issues, like most places, most of their food is very good. The staff is friendly and courteous. Every time I go I order something different and I have only been disappointed a couple of times. Good eating all the way around.

The lady & her son must have caught them on a bad day. Every time we have been in, even when busy, the food was very good, service good and the place was clean, including restrooms. Expect a "diner-like" experience, no more, no less. Very reasonable prices, too.

Ive been eating here for over 30 years . Way back when it was Tastee Freeze. The food and service was good then and still is today. I just ate there today , the place was packed and I still got my food in a very timely manner. Everything as great.

Service is ok at times. Food is lousy. Way Way over priced. Its a good thing Thiers no were else in federalsburg to sit down to eat. They suck. Spend your hard earned money somewhere else like Seaford or Easton at a real restaurant.
