The complete WORST experience ordering food ever, this is my second time ordering from this place. My first experience was good, food took a while to arrive but was delicious. Today my co-worker Renice and I ordered the golden crispy shrimp ($15.00) and it was absolutely disgusting it taste like someone took a bag of Dominos sugar and dumped the whole bag of sugar over our food. We called back to advise our food was not satisfactory and were told they order went out and was exactly as it always is and we were makign what we said up, if we wanted a refund we would have to bring the food back. After driving amost 20minutes to return the food the person at the counter was extremely rude and disrespectful, she grabbed the bag and went through it and accused us of eating half of the food and said she would give us a half refund. I said thats unacceptable and the person started screaming to the top of her lungs and caused a scene. At $15 a pop I expect my food to be to my liking! After going back and forth with the lady several times I finally got my money back, I will NEVER order from Gourmet Garden EVER AGAIN!! its crazy that the menus say China Garden and when you get there the outside of the restaurant says GOURMET GARDEN... how BOOT LEG!

First of all the menus advertise China Garden in which that is a lie when Gourmet Garden is the name of the establishment. I ordered the Crispy Golden Shrimp for the 1st time 6 months ago delivery and even though she was a little rude, the food was good. I went to order the exact thing 2 weeks later and got sick. I figure that every restaurant has its moments and maybe they had old shrimp. I decided to give them some time and tried the exact same menu option few months later. I guess the 3rd time was the charm bc a co- worker and I ordered the Crispy Golden Shrimp AT $15 A POP for lunch. THEY SENT TWO CONTAINERS OF SHRIMP WITH GRANULATED SUGAR DUMPED ON TOP. CRUCHY HARD SUGAR SPILLED ON MY JEANS AS I SPIT OUT THE FOOD. COMPLETEY UNEXCEPTABLE I HAVE NEVER BEEN GIVEN FOOD SO UNPREPARED IN MY LIFE. I was told that everything was made the same and they would not come back to pick up food. I will let my coworker cont. with his experience with returning the food.

Today I went to this place with my daughter to have lunch. First of all the place is dirty looking. Service was weird, acted like they didnt want to wait on us. Didnt come to the table much and acted annoyed. I asked for tea and it came out with tea pieces all throughout tea. I ordered dumplings and the meat had hard pieces of gristle in the meat that almost broke a tooth but my 4 yr old couldnt eat hers cause I didnt want her to eat and choke on it. I had to go to the counter to get a bill cause I was left with no one to wait on our table. Not only will I never go back, I would suggest you didnt either.

My boyfriend and I ordered the general tsos chicken and shrimp fried rice with egg drop soup and homemade iced tea. It took over an hour for the good to arrive and when it did it tasted less than fresh. Within the first few bites he found a staple in his food. Needless to say, we will not be ordering from thats place again. The order taker also lacked personality and made me feel like I was impeding on her time by asking for details about the menu (which, btw is full of spelling mistakes )

I love this place! I know that Americanized Chinese food often tastes the same anywhere, but everything that Ive had from here is a cut above anywhere else. Anytime weve had delivery the guy is super friendly. I would highly recommend this place, especially the honey sesame chicken!

They are the rudest, mean, bad attitude. They had an 8 yrs old kid taking orders and running the cash register and he was rude like the adults. I walked out so I cannot rate the food but I sure it was bad too. Go somewhere/anywhere else.

One of the worst chinese restaurants I have ever visited. The food was poorly made, the service was terrible, and the place only had six tables. Go somewhere else and try to do better, because you couldnt possibly do any worse.

This place is by far the worst Chinese restaurant in Columbia. The 13-year-old boy taking orders is extremely rude, the place is a mess, and the food was disgusting. Definitely stay away!
