I ordered my dish without eggs, because I have an allergic reaction to eggs. The server that took my order read my order back to me, and stated that I did not want eggs. When I received my order it had eggs in it, therefore I sent it back. The manager had a bad attitude, because he did not want to make the dish over again. After waiting for my dish to come back correctly, it was wrong again. This time there werent enough shrimp in the dish. I asked to speak to the manager. He asked me 4 times if I had eaten some of the shrimp. I told him each time that I had not eaten any of them. I asked him for my money back and he told me that I couldnt get my money back. I told him that I have never heard of a restaurant that doesnt give money back. He then told me that the owners will not be back for 2 weeks, but that he could give me a gift card. I agreed, and took the gift card, (which did not include tax), but he was rude, and did not apologize once for the mistake that his establishment made. After I use my gift card, I will NEVER recommend or eat at East Moon ever again.

We used to love this restaurant. However, the last year or so it seems to have developed a number of issues. The last few times weve had delivery, its been over an hour, and over 45 minutes from when they said theyd arrive. (Not great when youre working with toddlers schedules) However, it used to be that their food was far better than other restaurants in the area... unfortunately the last 4 meals weve had with them (in restaurant and delivery) the food has suffered as well. They got our last order wrong (as well as late) and the spicy tuna and scallop rolls were *oily* they added crunch to the filling... so much crunch that there was oil all over the dish beneath them. It was too disgusting to finish. Another time they put lemon juice and slices all over the sashimi, to the point that I could barely taste the fish. Itd be one thing if they took any responsibility... but they offered nothing but "Im sorry mam" They took no responsibility, nor did they attempt to right it. Totally unacceptable. It makes me really sad to see a place go so far downhill.

I was very excited to go back to this restaurant. My first couple visits were very nice, good food and wonderful customer service. I convinced my friends to get girls night dinner from this place. We entered and was greeted nicely by the host. We place our order to go. We got home and we had no napkins, no utensil, my general tsos chicken did not have the rice. I called back to inform them I got home and my order was incomplete. They place me on hold to talk amongs themself and came back with no apology for the inconvenience. I asked if they could deliver the remaining order since I was home and it was there error. They said no and if I wanted it I must come back. I return because I no longer wanted the food and wanted my refund. They were not willing to give me a refund, but offer to remake the food. I said ok. I should have just walked out without the food and refund. The food was terrible not what I got the first few times I dine there. I would never go back to this restaurant or recommend this place to anyone else.

Their food is great! I would highly recommend the sushi. Unfortunately their service is terrible. I have been ordering from them for months, and havent had issues... All of sudden, their prices went up. They then started telling me that they were going to charge me for substitutions that I had been getting for free since I started patronizing them. The last straw was when I asked for peanuts to be added to a dish and they said it was extra $$. I said that they had never charged me before and they told me to check my receipts, like I was a moron. Thankfully, I order online, so I have my receipts... No charge. I said Id no longer order from them. They said no problem... Over a dollar. Not a huge deal, but considering the level of competition in the area, to pinch pennies to the point of pissing off regular customers means they dont care and arent worth your time.

My husband, daughter, and I went here at the last minute looking for dinner on a late Sunday night. My husband is an executive chef with extensive fine dining cooking. So Im always looking for his critique which he naturally does each time we go try a new restaurant. While I was holding on to my seat eager to hear what he has to say, he was pleasantly surprised. He ordered the chicken fried rice and was very impressed. He said he didnt need any chicken wings because the size of the chicken in the rice was huge. The fried rice was a meal without anything extra. And my husband can eat! I had the salad, the peanut dressing was good, but a little too sweet for me. I ordered the general Tso chicken. It was just okay. I have had better, but I did enjoy the steamed veggies with the chicken especially the asparagus. We will be back again!

While the service was nice the cleanliness of the glassware and utensils were horrible! My glasses were the dirtiest Ive ever seen and I requested to go containers, the spoon for my miso soup was sticky and after requesting a new one the new one was also sticky! all of their plates and glasses had this strange film as if they werent washed well or just werent washed at all! I took photos to prove it. I frequent sushi places and Im so sad to report that this place isnt clean at all. looks can be deceiving, the nice decor will not make up for dirty dishes! ... check the photos of the glass I posted, and if you do decide to eat here check your dishes... I only noticed because. sat in the one booth that had direct sunlight, all the other tables are under dim light... sneaky... I hope they do better, but i wont ever return there.

I agree with the earlier review regarding delivery orders. We have been customers of this place for well over a year and within the last six months the delivery service has dropped significantly. I am still waiting to get credit for an order that never arrived. What makes matters even worse is the night manager who claims they tried to call multiple times when their driver said nobody answered the door. In the end, he got extremely belligerent and accused us of lying. All I wanted was a meal and was more than happy to pay if they tried to deliver...he refused to re-deliver. They are quick to charge your card and extremely slow to return the money. Called the general manager and the only response I got was that its difficult for them to manage because they have so many branch restaurants bringing in money.

Used to love this place. Been going here for 7 yrs. Im not sure if management is different (owner the same I believe), but the waitstaff is HORRIBLE recently (like last year and a half). Im sitting her at the sushi bar now... I had to ask if I had a server when I 1st got here after waiting in a restaurant w/ 3 tables seated for 10 minutes (just for my drink order). Then I had to ask to be cashed out after I placed my credit card out for 10 minutes (I timed it). They brought out all of my food at the same time; salad, miso soup, and sushi. Never a thank you, good day, or even a youre welcome when I expressed gratitude. I like the owner but Im gonna give this place one more time then Im moving on. The soup and salad were amazing, the sushi...5.5/10.
