I went here with a few co-wokers of mine to try out their lunch buffet, hoping to get a variety of Korean food. The buffet had a very limited number of Korean dishes, and aged sushi. The kimchi was dried out and tasted like water, the pajon must have been made hours before lunch started, there was a chicken dish that was more like general tsos, and the sushi rolls were among the worst weve ever had. We even went so far as to refer to the one on the end as the "leather roll" since the rice and contents were so dried out, we couldnt identify it or chew it. The sushi chef was making fresh rolls, but not putting them out front even as the current selection cleared out, he let them sit on the bench next to him.. we could only assume he was allowing them to age like the rest. We did not order anything off the menu, but the dishes that came from the kitchen looked and smelled wonderful. If i ever manage to go back Ill try something on the menu, I have known better then to goto a buffet with sushi.

I very much enjoy food there often. Clean and real authentic Korean taste and good quality of Sushi with a reasonable price. Anyone who knows real Korean food or real taste of Sushi, will love the food at the restaurant. I like the manager who checks the customers often with her gentle smile. The service is not a top quality but okay. I am a kind of person who does not write a review, but after reading other reviews, I decided to take time to leave mine for others who are looking for reall Korean taste and sushi. It is worth checking out. I would say that trying is better than reading and giving up it. Since my first visit, whenever I take my friends out, I am definitely going there and everyone likes it. I appreciate the quality. You will not find a place like this very often. Fine place! Go and try, then you will find out!

I have been stopping by here for years for lunch. This is probably the best Sushi/ Korean lunch buffet in the area. For $13 you get unlimited Bulgogi, tempura, salad, Nigiri and sushi rolls. The place is located right behind the 7 Eleven on Route 1 by the MVA. Food has always been consistent and the sushi is always fully stocked when I arrive. I do like how they have some vegetarian options as well and the place is always clean. They just implemented a new portion control system by asking diners to use a small plate when getting sushi from the bar. The poor old sushi lady couldnt keep up. Best tip here is to arrive right around 11:30 if you plan on dining here just so you dont get the scraps from the government employees that rush in soon after.

They didnt have any of the food that they advertise during the weekend buffet, i.e. sushi or any main dishes that have protein. They had orange slices and miso soup, some salad, fried dumplings, and that was about it. The buffet is supposed to run from 12-2, and we got there at 12:40. They continued to bus tables and seat people who were expecting the sushi buffet but never made more than one small plate of it to refill the entire empty buffet line. I heard one lady say she would wait as she sat there with her miso soup, and another lady ask for a regular menu, saying, "I dont need to have sushi but I do need to see a menu." No one apologized or explained or brought out more food.

We visited maryland several times and this was our second time being at Garam. We got off the plane late so we got to the restaurant after the lunch buffet time. The service was literally trashy and the owner/server did not even answer our requests. They were laughing about something while we were eating and lousy. I hate korean restaurants because of bad services and expensive prices just like Garam. The food was not any different from other asian restaurants. I would not recommend this place.

Food is just okay. Not going back. Called and was told price is $24 per person. We were charged at $27 per person. When ask .. the young guy told me that he gave me the wrong price over the phone. My mistake not checking. No sorry. No price change. And said they give us some free sushi and that should have made up for it. $24 per head is already too high and now $27? Not honoring promised price. Not even a sorry. Not coming back buddy!

Authentic cook-at-your-table Korean barbeque and hot-pot style dishes, lots of the small side dishes that accompany. They also serve up sushi and sashimi. Often when I go there, it is mostly Koreans eating there -- a good sign. The waitresses dont speak English well, which is all the better to me... I step inside, and I feel like Im in Korea. Definitely worth checking out if youre into Korean food!

Best Sushi lunch buffet deal in Prince Georges County (maybe even in the DMV :))! $12.50 for all-you-can-eat quality sushi and authentic korean buffet (endless miso soup included) just cant be beat. Sushi portions are small but thats irrelevant. Just pile it on your plate like I do. Service is great and Ive been going there for years.

Great food, but we had the worst service. Our server yelled for us for asking for a refill & shook her head on her way to get it. Then she lied to us saying that they didnt have anymore of a certain side dish when she gave it to the table next to us. We decided never to go there again after such service.

I stop here sometimes when Im in the area, for the buffet. Never had bad experiences with the buffet. Sometimes the quality suffers compared to non-buffet Korean entrees, but thats to be expected. For what it is, and at the price offered, its great. The buffet also includes sushi, a nice bonus.

Every time to visit, I find them extremely rude! I stopped going there even though that is the only Korean style restaurant near by. Sometimes I had to go because of someones invitation. But the owner and other serving ladies were very rude enough to kill the fun. Food is not tasty either.

This small Korean Buffet was very clean with a friendly staff. Although the buffet had a limited selection, every bit of it tasted great. I know nothing about Korean food, so the only items I recognized were at the well stocked sushi bar. I will absolutely be back.

WARNING ⚠️ BEWARE very rude staff that barely understands a word of English. Extremely overpriced food!! Not a single customer but me! I ordered a soup to start and all three staff tried their best to remove me from the restaurant because I didnt spend big money!

I went there during lunch buffet. i found a hair inside pickled ginger. i saw flies were flying around the food and i told the owner. He just looked at it and do nothing about it until I leave the restaurant. I guess that is why thet are cheap.

Remember you got what you paid for. The place is cheap but the food is horrible. Very poor food quality and dont get surprised if you saw bugs in the plates. There is a smell in the restaurant too. You deserve a better place.
