REVIEWING THE ARBUTUS LOCATION ONLY: was so disappointed not to see steamed blue crab there. They did have the grill and sushi bar (I was wary because it didnt seem that fresh, especially the sushi and the rice for the grill was from the day before) I stuck with the salmon and California roll. They had a variety of things I was not interested in trying / squid and oysters on the half shell covered in a red sauce, my son said it was good, better thsn the seawater muscles). The food items overall were just cold, dry, and not cooked so great. They only had coconut and red velvet cake. It was my birthday and I was sad to see a lack of choice. The entire scene had a bunch of things but not enough of it was tasty. In contrast the Lanham location was great, I could rave about it for hours. When I told the manager about my experience he could care less, he said customers have a choice to go somewhere else. He was so interested in manning his post at the door as if to will the customers inside. But only a few trickedled in every now and again. The lady waitress was sweet but she couldnt understand a thing I said,my daughter kept talking to her she had no idea what she was asking. So not horrible customer service just no service. The lack of patrons left lots of food items untouched to get stale and cold. I Should have went to Golden Corral or even Old Country buffet.The service is better and the food is hot. I gave 1 star because I did eat there and didnt walk out and because you cant give 0. The place was dirty and needs a makeover. If they are cutting corners in the front whats going on in the back? Heed my warning if you want to really enjoy yourself drive a few extra miles to a different location and save yourself the tummy ache.

My friends and I have been going here for a number of years. The food was always very good. Yes, I understand that you have to know that you are NOT getting the highest quality of food for the price, but the food should at least be edible. We decided to go back this past week for a birthday dinner. When we walked in, we saw hardly anyone and had to pay first, which was different. We had to seat ourselves and not one person came over to take a drink order or even give us silverware, I had to ask. I walked up to the buffet and started choosing my food items. I noticed as did others that the food seemed old, like it was sitting for a very long time. I chose a few things and sat down. I was shocked that most of my food was cold. I didnt finish it and put it aside. I went back to get something else. Now, these food items were steaming and I was glad. I sat down and starting eating and it just tasted funny. We all also noticed that the there were only 2 people running the place. Last time, there were several waitresses and others and more actual people. The food that I ate was so full of grease, it wasnt edible. The food just looked below average and I left not eating very much which is surprising. My friends and I said "goodbye" to this place as we are never coming back. Not sure why these places do so well in the beginning and all of a sudden things go downhill so quickly. I love the GRANDE BUFFET in Laurel, now thats a good place. I HOPE that doesnt go downhill or I dont know where I would go. Again, for the price, I dont expect a high standard, but I do expect food that was very good when I came a year prior. I wanted to give it 1/2 star but it wont let you. I do wonder what happened.....

Do not eat here! They make you pay as soon as you walk in the door for a reason! Once you tour the place, you wont want to stay. I witnessed smarter patrons than me, patrolling the place before deciding to pay, and leave they did! I wish my party had left too. Everything is awful from beginning to end. Ive been here twice, and about 5 years apart so it wasnt just one bad experience. I dont know how they call it a "buffet" when its just a few, dried-up leftovers that arent fresh at all. The little bit of food they do have, isnt prepared well. The server was cleaning the floors then refilled my water without washing her hands. She used the same cup I was drinking from against the fountain that every customer is served from. The restaurant smells like dirty cleaning supplies. The owner is clearly trying to cut corners in every possible way. He should give at least 75% of his empty, rental space, back to the landlord and not be so incredibly cheap with his product. Maybe then theyd have some customers. For real, just dont waste your time on this place!

**Please do not waste your money on the place** I have been here a few times a year or so again. So I was in the area with my kids and we came here; which were the worst mistake in my life. Very limited food selection and thats only if they fill the pans; which was mostly empty. Food taste horrible old with no flavor. The hibachi and sushi looked and tasted very old with no flavor. The wait staff is non existence took 15 mins just to bring drinks and they walk pass your dirty dishes like they dont see them. The smell in the building smelt stale and molding. You would think for a all you can eat my kids wouldve been in heaven but even they were fighting to force down the food. I will never return again and hopefully this will help someone from experiencing these situation. ***Just as I was going to send this my daughter just came back from the bathroom and said that the restroom was in horrible condition and there was dried blood on the floor

We drop from 5 stars to 2 over last 7 months this place use to be really friendly and good service buffet to eat at very reasonable. But we have no clue why on our last 5 visits have been awlful we tryed doing different times lunch dinner even and the food went from nice stocked buffet fresh stocked and clean - TO JUST NASTY cold old stuff that sits hours and fry food cold hard..we use to love sushi part., but you just dont know how long its been sitting way everything looks. Went home sick once. The carpets floor in dinning area are becoming very smelling odor and booths area smell off nasty water being used wipe down. Bathrooms stink of bad urn odor cleaning doesnt seem be there thing now. Always extremely hot and not comfortable experience eating anymore. As I said we loved this place to eat for a long time now its just not a 5 star on our list. They need get there place back order before will revisit this buffet establishment.

The worst place in the world to go this establishment is all about money no customer service had the shady credit card tip issue happen and I still get the benefit of the doubt. I go there Fridays for carryout hibachi. They charge by the pound for the sauce on ur food. Asked the ignorant lady owner for a sauce cup she said put it on ur food u pay by weight or leave. I said hold up who are u to her reply was Im an employee. No she was the owner. Typical un-American restaurant screw ur customers only hire Mexicans to work kitchen n Chinese to work service. They hang around ur table to rush u out. The bills always a question and really who wants to eat where theres no customer service. Which leads me to believe there all about money not service so Ill leave with this question do ya think when somethings dropped on the kitchen that they throw it away and take a loss????? ?makes ya wonder
