This place is great but if I could have one complaint it would be that their pricing is not consistent. I am a creature of habit and if I like something I get it often. Ive taken a likin to their chorizo dip. Now there are three La Toltecas in close proximity to me and Ive tried them all. First they are independently owned so the prices are different in each restaurant. Second I will order my chorizo dip with a side of onion and cilantro. Depending on what day it is or who was actually checking me out depends on what Im going to be charged that day. It will range anywhere from $6 and change to about $9 and change. I would like that to be the case only when they are confused about whether or not they are going to charge me for the side of cilantro and onions, which they do about 1/8 of the time. Because if that were the case at least there would be some sense to it. There isnt. Regardless of whether or not they charge me for the onions or cilantro, my price for the dip itself will be different every time Im there. And like I said there are three different restaurants in close proximity to me and they all charge differently from each other as well. So bottom line great food but they all need to get on the same page with what theyre going to charge every customer in each store and charge th.

Food and drinks are amazing. Service sucks!! Took 20 min to get a drink order After being seated 10 min someone dropped chips and salsa at our table and ran off yet we had no napkins or plates finally 10 min after we could place our drink order. It took 15 minutes more to get those drinks so at this point we were here 35 minutes and are messy from salsa and chips with no napkins. I repeatedly asked for plates, silverware and napkins. Eventually EVERYTHING was brought to us however they were brought on the average of 15 minutes apart. For some reason they didnt set you up like a normal restaurant with the basic essential items. We were sat next to a large group of people who had children. The people were loud and kids were running around. After saying please let us be reseated we went to another area and now had people start playing YouTube wrestling videos so loud I had to yell to my date to be heard. The people who were playing the videos continued to get louder copying the wrestling voices and theatrics. When I am finally about to explode this group says oh lets pray and join hands. After their impromptu prayer a insanity loud conversation about " is God a tyrant" began. This had to be the most bizarre set of events in a evening

If I could give this "business" zero stars, I would. I have been frequenting La Tolteca for years and have been nothing but pleased with both the service and food. I went to La Tolteca on Friday, July 7th 2017, with coworkers for happy hour. I ordered my usual margarita with a coronita on top... about an hour later, I found myself laying on the bathroom floor of the restaurant vomiting uncontrollably and unable to stand. The next morning, upon speaking to my friends, I found that I was not the only one in that position the night before. I could not recall anything after my initial and ONLY drink. I have no doubt that something was slipped to me and am incredibly disappointed as I have been a frequent patron of this establishment for years. I am awaiting toxicology results and have contacted both the health department and local police.

I come to La Tolteca frequently for lunch with coworkers and its always a good choice. I normally get the burrito gordo or taco teca bowl, which are delicious and for the price/quantity, you cant beat them! Even the chips on the table are delicious, great little appetizer before your meal! I dont know whats up with these negative reviews but I never had any issues besides maybe service being a little slow at times. Typically though its not too crowded and the food comes out quickly, even with a larger group. If you happen to be in the area, this is definitely one of the better restaurants and is on the more authentic side for Mexican food. I would absolutely recommend giving it a try!

I gave this place a chance because of the reviews but got thrown off by the lack of customer service. I have been in there twice and each time they dont greet you when you walk in and they leave you standing there while just looking at you and walk away like they are too busy to take your order. The last time I tried to order on the phone just so I wouldnt deal with waiting and I was hung up on twice. At this point Im over this place. If they dont care about their customers then I can care less if they close.

This used to be a great place for lunch, and Ive been coming to the local La Toltecas forever. The food is pretty good at this location but the big draw at least for me were the chips which they recently changed the policy on. Now there is a 2 basket limit per table regardless of your party size. It may not be a big deal for some but since the chips were a large part of the reason I came I probably will be coming a lot less often with all of the other lunch options around.

Food is consistent and tasty. Its gotten better over the years offering a few more authentic Mexican options but this local chain still specializes in your typical suburban Mexican restaurant food blanketed in cheese. But oh what delicious cheese it is. So I cant blame them for following a path other similar restaurants do because we love things covered in cheese. Dont we? The cilantro chicken salad is one of my favorite dishes. Pretty healthy with the dressing left off.

I work very close to here and our staff will go there during lunch or even for someones birthday in our office. Everytime we go the food is so fresh tasting, the staff is prompt and very nice. The celebration and the dessert they give for your birthday is always fun and great and all the other customers get involved in singing and clapping too. Great atmosphere to bring your family, friends or coworkers too. Overall love going here to eat and have a nice time.

ABERDEEN DOESNT HONOR LA TOLECA COUPON PUBLISHED IN THE 2016 ENTERTAINMENT BOOK (Bait n switch?) Had Entertainment Coupon good through 12/31/16. Indicated I had a coupon when placed carry-out order; person who took the order acknowledged it and said okay. But ... didnt honor it when I showed up. Whats up with that? The manager of the Aberdeen store admitted that they were owned by the same owner as Churchville. BUT THEY STILL DIDNT HONOR THE COUPON.

This restaurant is one of the better Mexican restaurants in the area. It has a great atmosphere, and the food is good by Maryland standards, and the portions are also great. I recommend the tamales, chicken soup, fajitas, and tacos. I wasnt a huge fan of the refried beans--they taste more like boiled beans than refried beans--but overall, I think that the food is good. I plan to return to this location in the future.
