This is our favorite "go-to" for their lunch buffet. The staff is very nice and welcoming. Friends were in town visiting and brought their pet rabbit, Grumbellina along in its carrier. It was cold outside, so we asked... She was their baby, very well cared for and clean, (for those who might be concerned...). They were fine it , so long as she was in her carrier and it was placed near the fish pond. We were seated nearby, and it worked out perfectly! They even let us feed her some fresh veggies through the carrier door! Great Wall keeps a VERY CLEAN, well-stocked buffet and offers a wide variety of hand-prepared sushi delicacies that are made in front of you -and to order, if asked. (You can tip the sushi chef at your discretion, but it is not required. I just feel a personal req is well worth the tip, given the prices of sushi at competitors eateries). And, its all included in the modest lunch price of only $10! It runs until 3:30, and if you get there a bit later (3:00-ish), the food has the same freshness (remember, they keep the buffet tables consistently stocked and replenished), AND they bring out Alaskan king crabs legs (still, only $10)! Quality food, friendly service AND value is a combo that cant be beat! Also, they some really fun instrumentals, if you can believe it!... Cat Stevens and more...

This is a standard, multi-table American-style Chinese buffet place. There should be no other expectation here. The food is good, and they have SIX buffet tables offering a large variety: from American comfort food like carved ham, cheese pizza, fish fillets, pasta salad (why, Im not sure!) to your standard Chinese food like orange chicken, dumplings, beef & broccoli, rangoons, garlic chicken, lo mein, etc. They also have a sushi bar open at various times. The staff are friendly, the place well maintained, and they change the food trays out regularly. Its always a busy place! I go here for my Chinese food "fix" every few months. The lunch buffet price (all the same foods as the dinner service) is a great value! When you want to sample an endless potpourri of Chinese food, this will hit the spot! If you are pickier about your Chinese and want the highest quality and/or a healthier option, try Kon, Jan Mee or the new Zen Bistro in Portland.

This place was terrible. I went there last night with my boyfriend. We were hoping to have a good relaxing meal after a five hour trip. Instead, we got old, lukewarm, poorly seasoned food. The manager was screaming at employees in front of us and they were sweeping the carpet by our table causing dirt to go flying on our food. We were sat at a dirty table that had crab legs and biscuits on the floor. During eating, we were never once checked on for refills or anything. Terrible food, terrible service, filthy, and ridiculously over priced. $14.95 for a buffet that was horrible. I suggest making the drive to tin-tin in Biddeford if you want great chinese food. Dont waste your money at not so super great wall!

This place was alright at 1st. But then i went to look at the food, barely anthing in stock at the buffet and what was there had been sitting for hours. Lastley my friend found a hair within his food and when we asked the waiter about it, without a word she stole the plate he had and ran it out back and then a Manager ran up and started to try and bully us by making it look like we were lying, saying we were causing trouble. Like we would show you but you stole the plate away before we could. One star is too generous for this plane. Save your money dont go here. Spend you money at any other place. Biggest disappointment for a restaurant if i would even call it that.

Very very very bad food warm sushi warm raw oasters and bad quality food food discolored meat and way over priced 3 people $55 1 plate a peice. Stomach ache and unpleasant bowl movement. Went to Wendys after so we were not hungry they didnt give us our full order but it was still better. Service at Great Wall was bad waiter focused on talking entire time and the worst was after looking around they had fruit flies by the ginger next to the sushi. Please dont be fooled by other reviews its the employees lieing

Well i have to say since hokkaidos closed we have hoped for a decent buffet resturant to go and eat at but this left us out of a lot of money with it being just the two of us and sick to our stomache. The sushi was defenetly not fresh the rice was soggy and all the food was cold like it had sat out all day. The wait staff was always looming over us like we were criminals and when they did stuff for us the huffed and would tear it from our hands. Save your money and go some where else.

I used to go here years ago and always got explosive dumps. I figured Id try it for lunch now and was extremely let down. The food had no flavor and was dry. The dumplings tasted frozen, the pork ribs were dry and tasted like red, the orange chicken tasted stale and like flour drenched in grease. The only thing good at this place is the icecream, I mean even the fortune cookies were junk. If you want the good stuff go to Asia (Mill Creek, South Portland) or TinTin Buffet (Biddeford).

Place is complete crap!! Fist 3 plates I tried (that appeared clean) all went in the garbage. I asked the cashier to speak to the manager and was told there was not one. I was told we had to pay because we took food from the buffet, so instead of causing a scene I let the kids have their food and desert and I skipped the meal. Hopefully this review saves someone from paying $16 per per person for food poisoning!! Stay far FAR away from this place

My family and I stopped here on our way home after a day at the water park. The food is not worth the price. I am ok with American food on the buffet but it should not be 3/4 of it. We will not return here ever. Not that many choices to choose from. When I spend $17 per person u dont expect to leave still hungry. None of us where happy with the food choice or the taste of most of the food. Do yourself a faver and go eat somewhere else.

I have been going to eat at The Wall since I was a kid. My mom brought me and now I am bringing my children and husband. As a family we enjoy the quiet atmosphere and dim lighting. The staff are very friendly and always helpful. I am a picky eater as well as my 7 year old daughter. Shes been trying new foods at The Wall like Brussels sprouts, duck, and Choy. I cant say Im as brave as she is, but its always a pleasant tome.

Was pretty happy until I opened the tortilla container and a bug ran under the tortillas. I gave it to an employee and told him there were bugs in it and he said "oh, okay". I told the manager later when she asked us if everything was okay, she said the same thing and we didnt see her again. The food didnt taste bad but the fact that they didnt seem to care or even be surprised that I found bugs really turned me off to it.
