I usually dont post bad reviews but felt the need to do so here. I went here last night with a friend of mine around 9:30pm. It took ten minutes for our waitress to ask if we wanted any drinks or food. The place wasnt busy either. My friend ordered two draft beers and I myself got 4 slices of pizza that were undercooked, stale and chewy. They had probably been sitting out since late afternoon and shouldnt have been sold. Nevertheless I did not complain about it because I dont usually make complaints about food but will if service is bad. When we were finished and ready for our check the waitress asked if we wanted our check combined or separately. A good waitress wouldve told us that if we combined our check we wouldve qualified for $1 slices because my friend had bought two draft beers. We did not know this however so we asked for our checks separately. The total for the 4 slices of pizza came to $17.00. (They used to do 1$ slices from 9:00-10:00 and thats why we went.) When I asked why the check was $17.00 the waitress replied "if you had gotten one check you wouldve qualified for $1 slices." When asking politely if she could change it to one check instead of two she rudely stomped off bantering about having to get the manager. The manager then came to our table and made a big fuss about it also and was being very condescending and rude. He refused to change the bill to suit our desires and instead pointed at a tiny sign on a far away wall that said $1 slices with purchase of a draft beer. I mentioned the pizza wasnt even fresh but he didnt care. I decided it wasnt worth the headache and effort of arguing with him so I paid for my meal and went to use the restroom before leaving. As I was in the bathroom I could hear them talking negatively which I thought was incredibly rude. I left the restroom and as I was walking out the door to escape the waitress decided to continue to harass me and literally yell out "have a nice night" sarcastically and rudely as her manager was standing right beside her. I told them that yelling out to me like that as i was calmly trying to walk out was going to earn them a bad review and they said to me that they didnt care... unreal! I hope the owner of Portland Pie sees this review because I have never been so poorly served in my life! They knew we were unhappy with the experience, the food and the service and refused to change the bill to make us happy. Talk about customer appreciation... Nevertheless we were both absolutely stunned with the amount of disrespect they gave us. Ive been to the Biddeford location before and had a very pleasant experience there. If I could give them zero or negative stars I would but a one star is as low as Google allows..

Last night went here for supper and couldnt believe how BAD it was. Our waitress was terrible -- she had no idea what was available on the menu and took our order for calamari then came back out and told us they were out, she also had no idea what beers were available and brought me the wrong beer when I ordered one. When she brought us our barbecue chicken pizza we were shocked at how little chicken was on the pizza -- there was only one piece of chicken per slice of pizza, and it wasnt good at all. The total for one pizza, one beer, and one soda was $38, which I think is overpriced, especially for the crappy pizza we had. Wait staff were very unprofessionally dressed. It was a cold day and they didnt have the fireplace on, and the greeter was in her coat it was so cold. I came here two years ago and loved it, so I made it a point to come back here on my drive north from Virginia, but after this experience I wont be coming back again.

Love the vibe here and the festive local Maine inspired pizza names like Old orchard, Great Diamond etc. We ordered a few to try at dinner, and have ordered delivery since. The pizza is always yummy and fresh. Of course it doesnt hold a candle to NYC pizza-but really, does anywhere? You can also build your own pie from scratch with gluten free dough options here. The special the day we visited was some thing like a bacon mac and cheese. We all tried a bite and almost spit it out it was so gross. I was like how the hell do you mess up Mac & Cheese?! I guess the moral of the story here is stick to what they are known for-pizza! None of the pies were disappointing and they all had really interesting toppings and flavor that packed a punch. Our service was very good during our visit and they also have a great draft beer selection as well as wine and a full bar.

PPC does PIZZA the best -- everything else on their menu is OK. They feature their own flavorful, chewy doughs (basil, garlic, beer flavored, etc) and fresh-tasting ingredients. My favorite is the "Dead River" pizza with dollops of ricotta, seasoned hamburg & roasted red peppers. Ive tried many of their apps (all OK) and more recently a calzone -- was skimpy on the added filling, was mostly sauce & ricotta, and the outside crust was slightly burned. Stick to the pizzas there. They do that best.

Went in at 230pm on a Sunday, and was told to sit anywhere we like. Bartender brought over menus and a couple sodas. Waited for 20 minutes before leaving, and did not receive any service in that time period. Even made eye contact with one of the waitresses. Shouldnt have to asked for service. No excuse, as they were not busy at all. One of the waitresses was more concerned with her own food rather than serving customers. Sorry Portland Pie Company, but youve lost a customer for life.

Great pizza, much better than average. Their specialty pizzas are very innovative and truly special. We love the shipyard. Feta cheese, garlic, broccoli, its delicious. I recommend it. The noreaster is also awesome with Buffalo chicken and blue cheese baked into the pizza. Very tasty. I havent tried any of their other food but their pizza is awesome.

Great concept, great location, great building, great menu, great staff... but mediocre food tonight. Pizza was soggy, chicken fingers and fries burned on the edges. Service was super friendly and I love that they source locally. Prices seemed a little high for the quality, at least tonight. I might try it again if Im ever in the neighborhood.

My wife and I went in with our three kids. For twenty minutes the waitress ignored us and never even came to take our drink order. We tried waving at the waitress but she ignored us. I saw all of the waitresses on their phones basically ignoring us. Im glad service is so important at Portland Pie, Ill never eat there again.

I have not tried all the pizza places in Portland, but I have tried enough to say that PPC is definitely the best in the city! The different options for the dough are amazing and a great change of pace from the standard. The Old Orchard is a personal favorite that I would recommend!

This is the worst pizza I have even eaten. I am currently sitting in the restaurant and I have no idea why there are so many people in here. Do they make the crust out of rubber? 1/10 I would never come back. Im going to go throw up so I can eat at dominos.
