Stopped in for lunch on a visit to the island Saturday, July 16, 2016. It was the only alternative to the Inn for lunch. Compared to the Inn, which offers expensive dining with a water view, the Slow Bell serves simple sandwiches and has a country store vibe. I got the tarragon chicken salad sandwich and a scone to go. Note: Technically the day time business is run separately as the Ebb & Thyme. The Slow Bell Cafe is onlyn open for dinner and bar after 5. (At least as of the 2016 season.)

The wait and kitchen staff did a great job getting our party (10) fed and out in time to catch the last boat off the island. The food was good and the helpings were ample. Well worth a stop!
