This is actually a very good restaurant. Ive visited China several times, and I can attest that this food is quite authentic. However, keep in mind that many of the ingredients required to make such food arent available here in Maine, or in the U.S. Just one problem... its expensive! I asked for something they didnt even have on the menu, and they made it for me without a hitch! I got me some semi-authentic baozi, and enjoyed it immensely.

Best Chinese restaurant in Maine for my money. When I lived in the Portland Maine area for over ten years, I would often put off my Chinese food cravings until I visited Bangor next as I couldnt find any place in Southern Maine as good. I enjoy ordering of the menu much more than when I have tried the buffet, but I like some spice in my food. They will also accommodate off menu requests with a friendly smile :-).

My experience here is always a great one, for dining in or takeout. In addition to the food being very gourmet, its a peaceful and quiet environment with exquisite decorations. The service is very friendly and warm, and what makes it unique is its located in a place of great exclutivity. Dont overlook it!

definitely best Chinese food in Bangor, or eastern Maine for that matter. Have lived in So. Cal and NYC my entire life but visit Bangor regularly because of family and never miss the opportunity to visit Panda Garden.

Hands down, no doubt about it, the best Chinese food in the Bangor area. Not cheap but you get what you pay for. If your favorite isnt on their menu, ask, they likely can make it and it will be good or better.

Panda Garden is one of the citys little secrets. Do not be surprised if the dinning room looks a little empty, they have some of best take-out around and that is what many of the locals do.
